Roundball
Roundball is a ballgame played with a bat and a ball looking like a tennisball. The ball was invented by the Thorweigian footballplayer Aksel Nilsen in 1865.
Basic rules
The game is played by 2 teams. The hometeam starts in the field and the visitors starts in the safetyzone. The players in the Safetyzone hit the ball one by one. After the ball is out, the hitter run from one base to another until the ball is catched by the “Stopman” in the safetyzone. If the ball is catched by a player in the field, the ball is dead. If the running player is between two bases when the ball is cought in the saftyzone, the ball is dead. 3 dead balls and the team in the field take the safetyzone and vice versa. This continues for 45 minutes. Points are counted every time a player has finished the 4 bases. If a player finishes the 4 places with one hit, it counts for 3 points, or a “safer” the safer can be used to safe 1 dead ball, but only if there is any dead balls. If the ball is cought with one hand it counts for 2 dead balls. If the ball is out, its 1 dead ball, if the ball touched the ground before it went out, the runner have to freeze until a fieldplayer have touched the ball.
