The 5. Mekanisertbrigade, Iron Wolf Brigade, (Iron Wolves Brigade) is a formation of the Kongelige Hæren. It was formed in 1989 to reinforce the German border. It is headquartered in Slesvig and attached to the 5. Panserdivisjon.
Brigade Composition
- MB5 Signal Company
- 20th Mechanized Infantry Battalion, operates in the heavy infantry role and is equipped with vehicles from the SEP-T families
- 21th Mechanized Infantry Battalion, operates in the heavy infantry role and is equipped with vehicles from the SEP-T families
- 18th Motorized Infantry Battalion, operates in the light infantry role and is equipped with vehicles from the Sisu XA and general purpose vehicles families
- 19th Motorized Infantry Battalion, operates in the light infantry role and is equipped with vehicles from the Sisu XA and general purpose vehicles families
- 15th Engineers Battalion
- 19th Logistic Support Battalion
- 15th Artillery Battalion, operates in the field artillery role and is equipped with ARCHER self-propelled 155 mm howitzer and Anti Air weapons
