The 6. Infanteribrigade is a formation of the Kongelige Hæren. It was formed in 2003 after the military reform with the merger of Faroese and Icelandic regiments. It is headquartered in Tórshavn and attached to the 4. Infanteridivisjon. The brigade has permanent elements deployed on Faroe Islands and is the unit in charge of its the defense.

- 8th Infantry Battalion, operates in the light infantry role and is equipped with general purpose vehicles
- 9th Infantry Battalion, operates in the light infantry role and is equipped with general purpose vehicles
- 10th Infantry Battalion, operates in the light infantry role and is equipped with general purpose vehicles
- 21th Motorized Infantry Battalion, operates in the light infantry role and is equipped with vehicles from the Sisu XA and general purpose vehicles families
- 19th Engineers Battalion
- 23th Logistic Support Battalion
- 19th Artillery Battalion, operates in the field artillery role and is equipped with Haubits FH77/A 155 mm howitzer and Anti Air weapons
