The Kystkampflotilje (Coastal Combat Flotille) is a named fleet of the Sjøforsvaret. The mission of the Kystkampflotilje is to to carry out protection missions of the Skandinavian coasts.
In times of peace, it acts in tasks similar to a Coast Guard force, extending its presence to the entire exclusive economic zone. In time of war, it is specialized in coastal combat taking advantage of the characteristics of its ships and the special configuration of Skandinavia's coasts with thousands of islands and fjords.
