The Second Battle of Midway is a major battle in the Great Pacific War. It began when the Democratic People's Republic of Midway sent it's latest battleship, the Red October Class Battleship, and 2 battleships to engage Union Resistance fleet.
The battle began at around 5:00 PM, and the battle lasted only an hour. A fleet of 5 destroyers, 3 Light Cruisers, 4 Heavy Cruisers, 1 aircraft carrier and 84 aircraft were on their way to conduct an attack on a small DPRM fleet. They attacked the fleet, but were quickly overpowered by the Red October. In the firefight that ensued, the Red October suffered some damage but destroyed 5 destroyers, 3 Light Cruisers, 4 Heavy Cruisers, 1 aircraft carrier and 57 aircraft. The remaining 27 pilots that survived, every one of them described the Red October as a ship like no other. They reported that while it suffered damage, it managed to destroy the Midwayan fleet before getting sunk. This battle sparked the Hunt for the Red October.
