The Seogyeong Line (서경선 Seogyeongseon) is a commuter rail loop line in Seogyeong, East Asian Federation, operated by Federation Rail. It is one of the most important rail lines in the Seogyeong, connecting the center city along the Gyeongui Line with the inner suburbs in Seogyeong and South Pyongan Prefectures. It connects most of the major stations and urban districts in Seogyeong, including Hwanggumbol, Sunan, Mirim, and Chongin, and providing connections to other railway lines at more than half its stations.
The Seogyeong Line refers to the tracks that carry local commuter loop services in and around downtown. Seogyeong Line tracks run parallel to the Taedong Line, Gyeongui Line, and Sonam Line in the center city, and on a dedicated set of tracks to the north and east of the urban core.
Service
Trains on the Seogyeong Line run 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The peak service interval is every 120 seconds during morning and evening rushes, with trains running every four minutes during midday, and every seven minutes between 01:30 and 04:45. Trains are put into and taken out of service at Potong River Station, and stored at the adjacent Potong River depot. Timetables generally show Potong River as the start and end of scheduled service, but some trains start at Hwanggumbol, Seogyeong, and Taedong River. Trains operating clockwise in the loop are labeled Naebu, the Korean word for "inner", and trains operating counter-clockwise are labeled Oebu, for "outer".
The line color used on maps and schedules is the same color that is used as the base of the East Asian Flag, known as "Unity Blue" .
Ridership
An estimated 2.3 million passengers ride the Seogyeong Line each day, slightly less than the London Underground's 2.7 million daily passengers. The Yamanote Line in Tokyo, for comparison, is used by 3.5 million passengers each day.

Rolling Stock
The Seogyeong Line uses purpose-built FR Class UE100 cars. Each car has six doors, and folding longitudinal seats that are folded up during morning and evening rush to provide more standing room. LCD screens above the doors display information about the train, next stop, and final stop in Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. Large touchscreen maps give passengers personalized directions to locations about the city and play occasional advertisements. Trains are operated by digital automatic train control from a central network center, with human onboard to operate doors and for emergencies or system failures. Each station on the Seogyeong Line has platform-edge doors, which are synchronized with the train doors with sensors.
