Sofíae Lievrensia (Sofíaes Lievrensland), officially Lievrensan Sofíae Constructivist Republic (Lievrense Sofíae Konstruktivistische Republik), often shortened to Lievrensia, is a large country in Ethesia, initially established as a penal colony called Reussich West Etheisia (RWE) in 1885. The RWE quickly expanded its colonial territories and occupied Echia and Atheia before being stopped from invading Estry by the Four Powers Treaty in 1895. After the collapse of the Reussich Empire, Echia and Atheia re-gained their independence, while the rest of RWE declared its independence as the Lievrensan Republic (Lievrense Republik). In the interwar, the Lievrensan Republic was a neutral country, albeit Entente-aligned. In 1945, after several years of CSCR influence, Lievrensia experienced a constructivist revolution that plunged it into a civil war, soon Estry intervened directly to help the republican government, with many other Entente offering some limited support, the CSCR directly sided with the revolutionaries, leading to the First Northern War. The war ended with the 1948 Treaty of Medrie, which included the official recognition of the Lievrensan Sofíae Constructivist Republic (LSCR) by the WMO. Between 1954 and 1956, during the so called Second Northern War, hostilities with Echia and Atheia flared up again, but with the CSCR unwilling to commit directly, Lievrensia was stopped by after only making marginal gains by the combined efforts of Estry, Echia and Atheia and significant international pressure from both OFSN and FRB. While tensions with Estry, Echia and Atheia remain high to this day, since the mid 1970s the LSCR has made some limited steps towards a more liberal democracy, experiencing stable growth rates, although always remaining firmly in the SC sphere.
The Sofíae Lievrensian population is ~26M, made up of Reussichs (82.67%), northern Remanis (9.69%), Valarans (5.25%), and others (5.71%). Sofíae Lievrensia has considerable timber, mineral (including iron, chromium, copper, nickel and gold) and freshwater resources. Manufacturing and refinery are the largest contributor to the economy.
