  • A Bangladeshi national is sentenced to death by the judicial commissioner of Singapore after being found guilty of murdering his Indonesian girlfriend two years ago. In Singapore, the act of murder is carries the penalty of death.

Science and technology

• Several Google services like YouTube, Google Search and the Google Play store go down without warning at 11:50 UTC. Both Discord and Pokemon Go also go down as well. The cause was an "authentication system outage" by the Google Cloud Twitter account.
