The Treaty of Defiance was a peace treaty signed by the Hurian Federation and the United States ending the conflict between the two nations. It was signed in Geneva, Switzerland on August 1, 2012, and sealed Hurian expansionism, as well as global recognition of Hurian claims in Africa.

ARTICLE I: RECOGNITION

The United States hereby agrees to recognize the claims of the Hurian Federation. Also, both states agree to respect the boundaries of each and withhold their military forces, regular and paramilitary, from the lands of each. Hurian claims include Hurian East Africa, Cameroon, Gabon, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of the Congo, South Sudan, Sao Tome and Princepe, Equatorial Guinea, Madagascar, Northern Angola, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, and Northern Zimbabwe. United States claims include STUFF.

ARTICLE II: HOSTILITIES

The United States and the Hurian Federation both agree to end their hostilities toward one another. America and Huria shall hence forth cease and desist their military operations within the bounds of each others' lands, and order their troops to halt all campaigns of conflict, lethal or otherwise, against the other. Neither politicians, nor military commanders, nor citizens of either state are killed or kidnapped, or in anyway receive harm to themselves, their families, or the possessions.

ARTICLE III: EXPANSION

The Hurian Federation hence forth agrees to halt all overseas expansions, and recall their military forces from all unwillingly occupied nations and territories. This does not include Jamaica, Barbados, Western Sahara, Darfur, Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, Nigeria, or Chad, as well as any nations affiliated with the Stratocratic Coalition. Neither Huria nor its dependencies will invade any other nation without the sole consent of people, political or majority-wise. If the sovereignty of the Hurian state is at risk, Huria is permitted to act its defense, provided that it does not maintain an occupying force after its integrity has been ensured.

ARTICLE IV: SANCTIONS

The United States hence forth agrees to halt all sanctions toward the Hurian Federation and its dependencies. It agrees to respect Huria's right as a self-sufficient nation, and agrees not to cause any economical damage to Huria which may harm the way of life of Hurian citizens and Hurian dependencies. Also, America shall not attempt persuade or force other nations into placing sanctions on either Huria or its dependencies, but leave that right for the nations themselves.
