UFSA Self Defence Forces
The United Federation of Southern America Self Defence Forces was the military of UFSA. There was a total count of 1,203,920 People elisted into the self defence forces (2011), and five branches. The ranks were different for each branch, and all branches had ranks. The Self Defence Forces were headed by Marcia Ontiveros Adao, the last Secretary of Defence for the UFSA. The UFSASDF were dissolved on September 6th, 2011, as per UFSA Paz Act
Power
The Self Defence Forces was commanded by the Grand Marshal of the UFSA directly during times of war, and with the Secretary of Defence during peacetime. The Secretary of Defence may have also taken up the position to lead the military if the Grand Marshal gives command or is incapacitated. The Self Defence Forces were only to be used during a war against South America or during a peacekeeping operation on foreign soil.
Policies
These policies were basically laws that the military must follow. They were passed in 1993, after there was a reported abuse of civilians by the military. The Grand Marshal then set up these laws as an acting guideline of expected behaviour.
- There may be no rape of innocent people wether they be South American or of another nationallity
- No one soldier may create his own war
- No soldier may desert his assigned post without an injury greater than a small cut
- No soldier may leave the base at times of war
- No soldier may show disrespect for his nation by desecrating a federal symbol
- No soldier may kill or harm a civilian without a proper conviction
- Every soldier must follow orders given to him by an officer of a higher rank
- Every soldier must be at least 18 years of age and under 50 years of age
- Every soldier must follow the civilian laws of the UFSA
Land Self Defence Force
The UFSA Land Self Defence Force was the largest of all forces in the Self Defence Forces. They were the regular ground force, and were tought for nine months before being deployed into service. They learned basic hand to hand, then move onto weapons. After completing weapons they learned how to drive the jeeps, then tanks. At the end of their training, they learned how to fly a helicopter, and then they are designated as soldiers.

Amazon Guard
The Amazon Guard was a special branch consisting of 304 people. The branch utilized the Guardsmen Frame, and was the only known branch on Earth to do so. The soldiers were the most elite of the Self Defence Forces, and were specially trained to use the frames. The Guard was led by Manuel Genro Estaca, the first and last Chief Guardsman.

Sea Self Defence Force
The UFSA Sea Self Defence Force was the primary sea force of South America. They were trained and tought about the sea, and its dangers. During their training, they must have spent two whole months on a ship to get used to the feel of being out at sea for long periods at a time. They also learned how to create fires and other survival skills if they get shipwrecked.

Air Self Defence Force
The UFSA Air Self Defence Force was the main air body of the UFSA Self Defence Forces. They specialized in aireal combat, long distance operations, bombing runs, and provided air support for ground or sea units. They were divided into wings and some were in special regiments for special operations. South America used Escadar Air and Odolus Motor's aircraft to maintain a condition of self sufficiency.
