The United Federation of America (U.F.A. or UFA), more commonly known as the United Federation (U.F. or UF) or America, is a country located in North America. The country is bordered to the north by Canada, to the east by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the Confederate States, and to the west by the American People's Commonwealth. The country has a total area of 640,921 square kilometers (398,250 square miles), and has a population of 67 million people. The national capital is Philadelphia, and the most populous city is New York City. Other large cities include Boston, Washington D.C., Baltimore, and Pittsburgh.

The United Federation was first inhabited by Paleo-Indians who originated from Siberia around 12,000 years ago during the Middle Paleolithic period. European colonization in the present-day United Federation began in the 16th century. In 1776, a new nation, known as the United States, was created, after disputes over taxation and political representation. Throughout the following decades, the United States expanded throughout the North American continent, under the pretext of manifest destiny. The new territories resulted in conflict between the Northern and the Southern parts of the United States, beginning the War of Secession, which saw the South defeat the North and establish what would become known as the Confederate States. Shortly after the War of Secession, the United States would go through an intense rivalry with the Confederate States...

After the First Great War, the United States underwent a period of instability, with an ineffective government, and an economic crash, followed by an increasingly large scale domestic social and political conflict only worsening the state of the country. The 1936 Presidential election – which was to be the United States' last – saw 7 different parties receive electoral votes. With in no clear winner in the election, House Speaker Edward R. Taylor became acting president, but transferred power to David MacArthur to "restore law, order, and unity." Following this riots occurred in many cities, and MacArthur declared martial law, beginning the dissolution of the United States...

The United Federation is a federal republic and a representative democracy with three separate branches of government, including a bicameral legislature.Considered a melting pot of cultures and ethnicities, its population has been profoundly shaped by centuries of immigration. The country ranks high in international measures of economic freedom, quality of life, education, and human rights, and has low levels of perceived corruption.
