Alternative European country (countries?) based on novel West Slavic group in IRL Austria, West Germanic group in southern Germany/western Austria/eastern Switzerland, and a language isolate in the south (IRL Slovenia/croatia). Multinational confederacy (a la Switzerland) in central Europe with at least three core parts. Muslim(?)

Capital - Ajakei (Ažakeĭ) - IRL Salzburg.

• Aelva (Aĕlva/Ajelva) - IRL eastern Austria (West Slavic)
• Rhaetia (Retă/Rhaetien) - IRL western Austria and eastern Switzerland (Germanic)
• Tkazan (Tkaza/Tkazan/Tkazan)- IRL Slovenia, north-western Croatia, and north-eastern Italy (Isolate)

History

• Prehistory - migration of various tribes into this area. Tkazan are pre-Indo-European (possibly related to Basque? Ergative etc.?)
• Ancient history:
  • Ancient Tkazan a pretty well off state - long war with the Romans, culture not fully suppressed under occupation but language massively influenced by Latin.
  • Rhateia and Aelva conquered later, Rhaetia first and then Ajelva.
  • Tkazan a Roman province (Tecasania).
  • Rhaetia and Aleva a single province (Rhaetia).
• Dark ages
