Wilson (born January 3rd, 2019) also known as Willy is a pet opossum of Ulylan Saunders, the 13th and current Secretariat of the United Commonwealth. Wilson is a Didelphis virginiana from Kentucky, specifically from the Continental State of Cumberland and was raised in a animal rehabilitation center after having been attacked by a coyote at a young age, he was deemed unfit to return to the wild and was adopted by Saunders in November of 2019. Wilson is named after the volleyball that appears to accompany Tom Hanks in Cast Away. The opposum also lives alongside with Saunder's first pet, a raccoon who lives on the grounds of the Secretariat's home in Chicago, named Raymond.
Wilson has shown to have a loving bond with Saunders and Raymond along with the various staff at the Secretariat's residence. Seen roaming the grounds he is known for climbing branches that hang over the residency's fence where he hisses at journalists and tourists. During government press conferences within the Peony Garden, Wilson is known for interrupting journalists with a persistent hiss and typically heralds the conclusion of questions.
