The Yellow Line (Rockallian: Líne Méoillin), also known as Southern Line (Líne hÓ Dhéase) is a Rockallic train line that connects the Meoirr with the Rockallic Federal District, serving most of northern An Uinnia and the Barony of Dhéaseloda in An Thir na tÁirdteachd.
History
Route
The Yellow Line follows the South Coast Line and connects the majority of the south coast's towns, as well as the Tíra na Líocha Nan Uinnia, with one another and the Rockallic Federal District. It has eight intercity stations.
From An Bhá nan Éirith Ghréine, the stations that the Yellow Line calls at are:
- Stáition Céintrall nan Bhá nan Éirith Ghréine (intercity), located in the north of Báiruinteachd na nBhá nan Éirith Ghréine. From here, trains run over an elevated train track through urban landscape of An Bhá nan Éirith Ghréine over an elevated track until they arrive at:
- An Bhá nan Éirith Ghréine Sríad na hIòbhanna, located at the Sríad na hIòbhanna in the Báiruinteachd na nBhá nan Éirith Ghréine. From here, trains continue in a westward turn through the urban areas of An Iméallean na nCháteair until they arrive at:
- An Bhá nan Éirith Ghréine An Iméallean na nCháteair, located in the baronetcy of An Iméallean na nCháteair. From here, trains initially continue at-grade in the slopes of Iméallean na nCháteair before continuing over an elevated viaduct above the urban areas of the baronetcy of Iònnegéadhna until they arrive at:
- An Bhá nan Éirith Ghréine Iònnegéadhna hÓ Siar, located in the western part of the baronetcy of Iònnegéadhna. From here, trains continue over an elevated train track through the urban areas of Iònnegéadhna and Géadhn until they call at:
- Géadhn Ó Nuardh (intercity), located in the northern part of the baronetcy of Géadhn. From here, trains split from the Red Line and turn sharply westwards through the urban area of Géadhn until they call at:
- Géadhn Ó Siar agus Áirdteachd, located on the border between the Rockallic Federal District and An Uinnia, serving the westernmost part of Géadhn and the southernmost part of the baronetcy of Áirdteachd, near the village of Leighan. From here, trains continue along the southern shore of Loch Ghéighdhain in a southwestward direction, running through the urban area of the eponymous city until they call at:
- Loch Ghéighdhain (intercity), a city located on the southwestern shores of Loch Ghéighdhain. From here, trains continue further southwestwards and enter the An Uinnia Rainforest, running along the northwestern shores of Loch Ghluise until they arrive at:
- Loch Ghluise, a village located along the westernmost shores of Loch Ghluise, surrounded by the An Uinnia Rainforest. From here, trains continue in a more wesward direction through the rainforest until they arrive at:
- Bann Báis, a small town located on the border between the An Uinnia Rainforest and the Dunes of Rockall. From here, trains continue eastwards through the dunelands and later the urban area of An Bhá na nDhiábhaille for approximately 14 miles before turning sharply southwestwards and calling at:
- An Bhá na nDhiábhaille (intercity), located in An Bhá na nDhiábhaille City Centre near the Bhá na nDhiábhaille. From here, trains continue on a lowered track through the urban areas of Bhá na nDhiábhaille before continuing at normal level through the dunelands in a south-southwestward direction until they arrive at:
- Géadhna na nGaoidh, a small village located on the border between the Dunes of Rockall and the Southern Rainforests. From here, trains gradually turn more southwestwards through the Southern Rainforests and the Eastern City of Innéair Áibhan Eoighearr before calling at:
- Innéair Áibhan Eoighearr Ó hOirthear (intercity), located in the Eastern City of Innéair Áibhan Eoighearr. From here, trains continue turning gradually further westward through the urban area of the Eastern City of Innéair Áibhan Eoighearr before crossing the Áibhan Eoighearr estuary over a 0.6 miles long bridge and going through the urban area of the Western City of Innéair Áibhan Eoighearr, where they call at:
- Innéair Áibhan Eoighearr Ó Siar, located in the Western City of Innéair Áibhan Eoighearr. From here, trains continue gradually further westward through the Southern Rainforest and through the Coastal Quarters of Cóista na nChátha in the southern half of the baronetcy of Íseuch na nLóda before arriving at:
- Cáthgheadhna agus Íseuch na nLóda (intercity), located directly on the border between the baronetcies of Íseuch na nLóda and Cáthgheadhna, serving both the towns of Cáthgheadhna and Cóista na nChátha. From here, trains continue in a westward direction through the Coastal Quarters of Cáthgheadhna and Cáite until they arrive at:
- Innéair Áibhan Néuibhaghairra, a train station consisting of two separate platforms located at either side of the Áibhan Néuibhaghairra estuary and serving both the towns of Cáite and An Dúinne. Trains initially stop at the eastern (or Cáite) side of the estuary, then cross the estuary over a 0.4 mile long bridge, before stopping at the western (or An Dúinne) side of the estuary. From there, trains continue through the urban area of An Dúinne before continuing through the Southern Rainforests and arriving at:
- Dúinn Geadhnéigh, a seaside village located on the border between the Southern Rainforests and the Bhá Góirm grasslands. From here, trains turn more southwestwards along the grassy coast until they call at:
- Dúinn na nFhéaia, a seaside village located in the Bhá Góirm grasslands. From here, trains continue westwards through a tidal creek landscape until they arrive at:
- Créic Córchrais, a village located along the sides of the Créic Córchrais, the largest of all the tidal creeks located within the Créica na Lóimhaoigho system in the baronetcy with the same name. From here, trains turn in a northwestward direction through the tidal creek landscape and across the Déichréica Ridge into another tidal creek landscape until they arrive at:
- An Chréica na nBhláitha, a village located in the Créica na nBhláitha system in the baronetcy with the same name. From here, trains first continue further into a northwestward direction before turning westward into the urban areas of An Bhá Góirm and turning southwestward until they call at:
- An Bhá Góirm (intercity), located at the northernmost reach of the Bhá Góirm. From here, trains climb approximately 250 metres over approximately five miles, where they split from the Western Blue Line and continue approximately five miles more southwestward along the Meoirr until they call at:
- Deaubhnuid nan Bhá Góirm, a village located on a small cape in the Bhá Góirm. From here, trains continue along the edges of the Meoirr approximately 300 metres above the sea in a southwestward direction for approximately 20 miles until they arrive at:
- Dánneirth na nDárna, a village located on another small cape in the Bhá Góirm, with the station also serving the village of Éainnuach at the other side of the Meoirr in the baronetcy of Meoirr na Lóda. From here, trains go along the edge of the cliffs of the Meoirr for approximately 10 miles, after which they descend approximately 270 metres over another 10 miles until they call at:
- Meoirr na Lóda (intercity), located on the southern part of the Meoirr.
