Zelda Winnifred (born July 14, 1956) is a Sierran political and politician activist currently serving as the Chairwoman of the Continentalist Party of Sierra since August 2019. A lifelong political activist, Winnifred has been known for her support for unions, solidarity with socialist, communist and continentalist political parties, organizations and movements across Sierra, and for being a vocal far-left opponent of the monarchy and calling for its abolition. Born in Albuquerque of West New Mexico, Winnifred grew up with a mother and father who were card-carrying members of the Communist Party of Sierra, but later joined the Continentalist Party when Zelda was ten years old and she would later join the party when she was 16 years old as a member of the Young Pioneers of Sierra.
Since joining the party, she's actively worked to increase its membership, presence and campaigning across Sierra and has ran in multiple elections from local county elections to provincial and even federal elections. She's commonly ran against candidates of the Royalist Party and Libertarian Party, but has also run against Democratic-Republican politicians as well. In August 2019, Winnifred ran a successful campaign in the party's leadership election against Rafael Lambert and won with 59.8% of the total vote and was sworn in as party chair on August 17.
During the 2020 Sierran federal election, Wennifred was elected to represent Sierra's 26th at-large district becoming the first Continentalist Member of Parliament. During her tenure, she sat within the crossbench with the Christian Democrats and was the most left-wing crossbencher during the 66th Parliament. She lost re-election during the 2021 federal election to Tony Alexander of the Green Party on May 28.
