She is a member of the National Conservative Party.

Yamaguchi first ran for parliament in 2019 where she ran against then-incumbent MP John Contamosa of the People's Party and defeated him in what was considered an upset victory. As a member of parliament, she has been called one of the most conservative members of parliament, gaining attention in 2020 for her opposition to percuasions for the COVID-19 pandmeic and later for backing more aggressive measures against the United Commonwealth and its allies throughout the Caribbean crisis. Abortion

Yamaguchi has identies as "pro-life" and opposes abortion. She has criticized her home province of Colorado for his lax abortion laws and has called for federal-level restrictions on it. In 2021, she backed the proposed National Right to Life Act which called for a federal ban on abortion, however it was rejected and accused its opponents of "callous apathy towards life". In 2022, she proposed an amended version that included exceptions, but this too wouldn't pass and accused "ideological weakness" from the People's Party as to why it didn't pass.

LGBT issues

Yamaguchi has has called for the status of same-sex marriage to left up to the individual provinces, but is personally opposed to legalizing it nationwide. In Colorado, she opposed the legalization of same-sex marriage and called its legalization via referendum in 2012 a "sad day for religious values and liberty". She is opposed to LGBT rights legisaltion, accusing it of threatening religious liberty and has called for any such legislation to take into count the "desire to freely worship and follow our spiritual consciousness" and respect religious liberty.

Foreign policy

Yamaguchi has been called an isolationist in terms of foreign policy. She opposes the presence of the Brazorian Armed Forces in the Middle East and backed withdrawing them from Syria, but criticized the withdrawal due to the deal signed between the Kingdom of Sierra and the Syrian opposition that lead to the withdrawal, accusing then-prime minister Susan Kwon of "betraying the Syrian people and their freedom" and backed recognizing the Provisional Government of Free Syria as the legitimate government of Syria. Yamaguchi is critical of the Conference of American States, accusing the latter of impeading on Brazoria's national sovereignty and has called for the country to withdrawal from the organization, supporting the Braxit movement.
