Mohammed Zahir Khan (born 24 January 1976) is the Crown Prince of Pashtunistan, and is named after his grandfather, King Mohammed Zahir Shah. He was appointed the crown prince shortly after his father, Duran Daud Khan, became king in September 2015. Since the restoration of the monarchy in Pashtunistan in 1997, the prince has been active in politics. From 2003 to 2007 he served as the head of the Pashtun Olympic Committee.
Early life
Mohammed Zahir Khan was born on January 24, 1976, in Rome, where the Pashtun royal family has been in exile since 1923. He graduated in 1997 from the Business School of Imperial College London. The prince also started learning taekwondo since the age of ten.
