The 4. Infanteridivisjon is an infantry division of the Kongelige Hæren. It was formed in 2003 after the military reform. It is in charge of the defence of Iceland and Faroe, but also to deploy abroad the Eirik Raude Brigade if necessary. New units were added to the Division during the period 2006-2009 to reach the actual formation.
