Alaska, represented by the National Olympic Committee of Alaska, is currently competing in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Istanbul, Anatolian Republic. Originally schedueled to take place from late July to early August 2020, the event was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will instead begin on July 23, 2021 and end on August 8 the same year. Alaska has participated in the Olympic Games since the 1904 Summer Olympics and pariticpated in both the 1952 Summer and 1954 Winter Olympic games for the firs time as an independent nation. Since 1904, Alaska has competed in all Olympic Games and has participated in all 34 sports.
