Bitastub has maintained a good reputation in the shipbuilding and shipping industries, with companies such as Jaquipe Shipping dominating the national shipbuilding industry for over a millennium. Since the present-day, Bitastub as the Daruza capital Jaquipe, was an important port city nationally and globally, alongside modern-day Sofide, Gerona, Aytingin, Salvací, and Figayace. In modern-day Qenuga, Bitastub still maintains its position as the "Shipbuilding City of Qenuga" and in riverine transportation as many of the port cities waned in relevance throughout the centuries.
Overview
Etymology
The name of Bitastub comes from the Tagdamun word for "ice", bitas, and the suffix -tub meaning "water". The Cienugueza name of the city, Jaquipe, meanwhile, comes from the Amorese word for "clean".
Flag
The flag of Bitastub is a green cross above a yellow background. It was also used as the state flag of Daruza since Unification up until its dissolution during the Tagdamun Revolution.
