The Greens and Lefts, officially The Greens & The Lefts (often shortened to G&L, party identifier G), is a Libertan green socialist political party. As of 2024 it holds eight seats in the Senate and is thereby the largest minor party. Despite its small size, the party has been favored by both Progressus and Democratia Nova as a coalition partner, allowing it to affect the politics of Liberta on a larger scale.
G&L was formed in 1994 as a merger between the Flower List and the Left Party, as both parties shared a majority of beliefs on most political issues. The extent to which the party advocates on its socialist principles has been frequently questioned by both socialist activists and voters, as the party has been increasingly focusing on policies mitigating climate change.
