The National Liberation Partisans Detachments (NLPD) or the Rebel Partisan Armed Forces, Later the Z-Tech Armed Forces after 2040s, was the Z-Tech-led anti-Imperial resistance during the Garden War and the predecessor of the FRAF. Led by Carlos Pardo, the Partisans are considered to be the World's most effective anti-Imperial resistance movement during the early stages of the Garden War. it acted a global military crisis-relief initiative formed by the combined efforts of the Allied Nations and Z-Tech to oppose the Gray Gravel invasion and occuption of the Multiverse to succeed where modern militaries proved ineffective against the GIE .
Dave and Zomboss were appointed as Lead Director of the NLPD following its formation - overseeing all aspects of NPD weapon and technology development, they have repurposed a number of facilities on Earth and allied that had withstood the gray gravel invasion for weapon development and mass production. Primarily a guerilla force at its inception, the Partisans developed into a large fighting force engaging in conventional warfare later in the war, numbering around 650,000 in late 2044 and organized in four field armies and 52 divisions. The main stated objectives of the Partisans were the liberation of occupied lands from Gray Gravel's occupying forces and support the creation of Free States.
in Autumn 2044, the Partisans and the Plant/Zombie Army liberated De blob and Luna Nova following the Rebel Offensive. By the end of the Offensive, the Partisans had gained control of the entire country as well as Zomburbia and zombopolis. After the Offensive and the 5 year truce, the Partisans were reorganized into the regular armed force of the newly established United Federation of Nations.
History
Origin
When coal miners in Appalachia went on strike in 2017 and early 2018, they began forming militias for defending themselves, first against private security forces and later against Imperial troops sent by Gray Gravel.
When Z-Tech founded its armed forces in 2017, the Plants, Zombies, and Minecrafters made up the army as the Rebel Partisans Detachment for 33 years while in exile until human recruits were drafted in 2040, officially forming the Z-Tech Armed Forces with a Permanent standing Army, Navy, Air Force, Paramilitary groups, and dimensional Combat Force. When Z-Tech conquered enemy territory or made new allies, their weapons and equipment were adopted and set for manufacture but some were set at different times because they may be too hard, short on time, or too expensive to reproduce on a large scale. When the United Alled States became the United Federation, Z-Tech-led Armed Forces was reorganized into the Federal Republican Armed Forces and now serves as the official armed forces of new federation.
Objectives
One of two objectives of the movement, which was the military arm of the Unitary National Liberation Front (UNLF) coalition, led by the United Nations and represented by the Rebel Partisan Council (RPC), the wartime deliberative assembly, is to fight the occupying forces. Until international supplies began to arrive in appreciable quantities in 2048, the occupiers were the only source of arms. The other objective was to create a federal multi-ethnic Democratic state in Liberated Areas. To this end, the UN attempted to appeal to all the various ethnic groups within earth, by preserving the rights of each group.
Organization and Structure
The Partisan Detachments was a relatively decentralized organization, with many branches acting independently of each other, united by the central command of Z-Tech. The main commanders of the organization defined the main strategies and ideology, while individual branches were given autonomy to pursue their goals and strategies. Several branches were either front organization meant to generate funds for the rest of the organization, or independant syndicates that were absorbed, willingly or otherwise, in the alliance
Later on during the war, Z-Tech appears to be fairly centralized. However, perhaps as a direct result of the organization size and scope, various base commanders have been shown to exhibit some degree of independence from central command, provided they consult with them. It is known that they are at least billions of operatives employed by Z-Tech and the restored UN, all across the Multiverse, with potentially millions of bases across the stars. Communication leaks have shown that central command regularly checks in on their bases, and are often critical of perceived failures.
Rebel Partisan Council
The Rebel Partisan Council, commonly abbreviated as the RPC, was a deliberative and legislative body that was established in Suburmania, USA, in November 2017. It was established by Crazy Dave and Dr.Zomboss, the leader of the Partisans, an armed resistance movement led by Z-Tech to resist the Imperial occupation of the country during Garden War.
The Council pursued the liberation in hard conditions of life, supplying the armies with many difficulties and facing the consequences of war and death on devastated battlefields, with a poor economy, and problematic foreign affairs related to the international recognition of Z-Tech.
Army Council
The Army Council of Officers was a inner-body established in 2020 to represent the views of all levels of the New Army. It originally consisted of senior commanders, like Sir Thomas Fairfax ll, and representatives elected by their regiments, known as Company-Detachments. The Council was led by the Prime-President of the Council (usually addressed as "Lord President") who was intended to simply preside over the Council.
Services
Aside from ground forces, the Partisans so far were the only resistance movement in the occupied Multiverse to employ significant air and naval forces.
Naval forces of the resistance were formed as early as 19 September 2022, when Partisans in Gray Dalmatia formed their first naval unit made of fishing boats, which gradually evolved into a force able to engage the Gray Gravel Navy and Nazi Kriegsmarine and conduct complex amphibious operations. This event is considered to be the foundation of the FR Navy. At its peak during Garden War, the Partisans' Navy commanded 9 or 10 armed ships, 30 patrol boats, close to 200 support ships, six coastal batteries, and several Partisan detachments on the islands, around 3,000 men. Their main base was the small port of Driftwood Shores, which was bombarded several times by Imperial naval forces. On 26 October 2023, it was organized first into four, and later into six, Maritime Coastal Sectors (MCS). The task of the naval forces was to secure supremacy at sea, organize defense of coast and islands, and attack enemy sea traffic and forces on the islands and along the coasts.
Partisan Air Force
The Partisans gained an effective air force in May 2026, when the pilots of two aircraft belonging to the Air Force of the Gray Imperial States (French-designed and former Yugoslav-built jets, and 19 biplanes, themselves formerly of the Serbian Air Force), Franco Kruz and Albert Čajavec, defected to the Partisans in Gray Bosnia. Later, these pilots used their aircraft against Imperial forces in limited operations. Although short-lived due to a lack of infrastructure, this was the first instance of a resistance movement having its own air force. Later, the air force would be re-established and destroyed several times until its permanent institution. The Partisans later established a permanent air force by obtaining aircraft, equipment, and training from captured Imperial aircraft, the British Royal Air Force (BRAF), and later the Russian\Soviet Air Force.
Equipment
The first small arms for the Partisans were acquired from the defeated Armies of the former UN, like the M4 carbine rifle. Throughout the war the Partisans used any weapons they could find, mostly weapons captured from the Germans, America, Russia, leftover weapons during the PvZ Wars, Gray Gravel (later discarded) and the Nazis, such as the STG80 rifle, Kalashnikov rifles, GIE machine and submachine guns. The other way that the Partisans acquired weapons was from supplies given to them by the remnants of the United States, Russia and Germany, including the XM7 and the MP5A5 submachine guns respectively. Additionally, Partisan workshops created their own weapons modelled on factory-made weapons already in use, including the so-called "Partisan assault rifle" and the anti-tank "Partisan mortar".
Technologies
The Partisans made use of ARC and enemy mech-soldiers, whose exo-armor would be capable of supporting weapon up to 80-pound bulk. The Z-Tech would also make use ARC developed cyber-neural implant known as the "mind-shield" to counter the psionic effects of buff totems and brainwashing.
