The Alessian Slave Rebellion (c. 1E 242–243), also known as the Great Slave Rebellion or the Alessian Revolution, was a successful uprising against the Ayleids carried out by a group of escaped slaves led by Alessia. Initially a small revolt in the vicinity of Sard, the movement quickly spread to all of Cyrod, and its ranks swelled to the tens of thousands. The Slave Rebellion culminated in the capture of White-Gold Tower and the creation of the Alessian Empire, and led to the decline of the Ayleid civilization.
