Alvin Solis is a Sierran diplomat, currently serving as the Minister of the American Council from the Kingdom of Sierra since September 18, 2020. He has previously served as the Permanent Under-Secretary for the K.S. Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2016 to 2020, the K.S. Ambassador to Germany from 2015 to 2016, and the K.S. Ambassador to Tunisia from 2013 to 2015.
Early life and education
Solis was born in West Covington, Gold Coast. His parents were refugees from Tondo who fled Japanese-occupied Tondo during the Interwar period. His parents were resettled in the San Gabriel Valley and found employment there. Solis' father worked as a chemical engineer while his mother worked as a nurse. He attended University of Sierra, Berkeley where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts. He volunteered six months following his graduation in the K.S. Peace Service where he was sent to Guyana. He became an officer of the Kingdom of Sierra Diplomatic Service and was first assigned as a consular staff member of the Sierran diplomatic mission to the Trucial States in 1985.
