Bashomon was a prince of Esroniet in the Third Era. He formally surrendered the Spice Islands to the Septim Empire in 3E 284, two years after Uriel V's landing at Black Harbor.[1] During the ensuing occupation, Bashomon was placed under house arrest, and Esroniet was governed directly by Imperial officers. Following the Emperor's death in 290,[2] however, Bashomon was once more allowed to manage the daily affairs of his domain, provided that he would cooperate with Imperial authorities and ensure a steady supply of spices flowed to Cyrodiil. He died in 315, and was succeeded by Forsa.[3]
