As of the 2024 count, the population was 230,527, making it the most populated county in Valencia, and the most populated county in the entire country. Its county seat is Meridian. The county was created in early 2024. It is named after Meridian, Mississippi. The county is part of the Northeast Valencia region of the state.

Formation
The county was formed at some point in early 2024. The county exploded in population due to a very well-placed inlet near present-day Meridian.

- An EF0 tornado occurred in the county on February 8, 2024.
