Benfaci Caro Lesancio (IPA: [ben'fasi 'karo le'sant͡ʃo]; August 15, 2567 - January 13, 2649) was a military general, technician, and politician who served as the first Tagdamun President of Qenuga from 2617 to 2629. Before his ascent to politics, Lesancio was a four-star general under the Chungganese military until his desertion in 2604. From then, he led and assisted Tagdamun rebellions across Qenuga, which would then be the foundation point for the Tagdamun revolution.
As the longest-serving president after Regino Cucoti, Lesancio introduced peacekeeping reforms, economic rehabilitation measures, cultural revival, and promotion of the Tagdamun language to Qenuga during his three terms. Lesancio's legacy across the nation is mixed; he is credited for halting the bloody sixty-year War of Colors that ended tens of millions of lives, however is also seen as having authoritatian tendencies by critics.
Lesancio died in 2649 at Makat of natural causes. The funeral held for him was visited by millions of Chungganese.
