Crazetopher David Blazing III, known commonly throughout the main series as Crazy Dave, is the one of the protagonist in the Plants vs. Zombies series and is the leader of the Plants. He is one of the Founders of Z-Tech.adminstration with Dr.Zomboss. In Plants vs. Zombies, during Adventure Mode, Crazy Dave serves as a sort of narrator, introducing the player to certain levels and explaining some of the mini-games and bonus levels. He also has a shop called Crazy Dave's Twiddydinkies that he runs from the back of his car. He sells several plant upgrades, extra defenses, and Zen Garden items. He is rarely seen without a pot on his head. Although his narration is shown on the screen, he speaks only in weird grumbles and gibberish. Despite his eccentric behavior, he has repeatedly proven himself to be a highly competent inventor and engineer.
History
David Zoet Blazing was born on Earth, in Neighborville, California. He had a stable family, with a loving mother and father.
During his early childhood, other children found David to be strange and unapproachable. He briefly met Matilda Lowen during this time, and they became friends before she moved away. He also met Edgar Zomboss around this time, who was the closest thing he had to a friend, despite the fact that Zomboss had dubbed him his 'nemesis.'
In high school, Dave managed to beat Zomboss in the annual science fair, an event Zomboss would never forget. Dave would also never forget that day, but for different reasons - his father died in a car crash shortly after the fair. This affected him greatly, as he and his father were very close.
Eventually, David moved on to college. He was accepted into Neighborville University (which, despite appearing to be a local town college, was actually a pretty prestigious place.) He majored in Botany and was coincidentally assigned the same dorm as Edgar Zomboss (who was now much more insistent on the whole 'rivalry' thing.)
Halfway through the first year, Dave was caught and tried for stealing from a garden center, allowing the Neighborville Police Department (run by corrupt, nasty people at the time) to have him in their palm. He was put under house arrest, allowing him to thankfully continue his studies.
Under the guise of 'drug testing,' the Police Department forced the man into a state of addiction to... well, drugs. They busted him multiple times for having them, repeating the cruel cycle of house arrests and drug testing. It's because of this that Dave gained an irrational fear of medication and severe mental trauma, and began keeping copious amounts of plants in his dorm (much to Edgar’s dismay.)
Despite his struggles, he managed to graduate with a degree in Botany. But again, this happy moment was cut off by the death of a loved one - this time, his mother, to cancer.
Years later, Patrice Blazing, his niece whom he often babysat, began living with him, and he finally kicked the remainders of his addictions. Shortly thereafter he perfected plantlife, the project that won him the science fair all those years ago.
This proved to be useful, as Edgar Zomboss (now with the title 'Dr. Zomboss') soon kickstarted the zombie apocalypse, making Dave and the plants one of the only lines of defense Thus beginning the PvZ Wars.
Rise to Power and Gray Gravel Invasion
The plants and zombies have been at war since their beginning, which the PvZ war as it came to be known, the war led to a stalemate until a foreigner arrived to their world. The man named Carlos Pardo had finally ended the war once and for all, they had secured and lived in an uneasy peace for some time but it was not to last.
Their home suffered an invasion by Gray Gravel.Co. ( Gray Mann and General No-Fun ) After the capture and conquest of Suburbia and Neighborville by Gray Gravel.Co, Its habitats, the Plants, Zombies, and Humans were scattered throughout the multiverse. Gray Gravel renamed Suburbia and Neighborville to Roburbia and No-Fun Land and Enslaved many humans while the Plants and Zombies got away. The color Gray was only the color allowed and OverIndustrial laws were implemented and strictly enforced. Gray Gravel had ruined all forms of life in Suburbia and Neighborville.
Unable to fight Gray Gravel seperately, Dave, Patrice, Nate and the Plants would then form a alliance with Zomboss and the Zombies with Carlos and his new best friend Lawrence Dye; Suburbia’s inhabitants gathered Allied Resistance against Gray Gravel from across the multiverse and the unification of dave’s and zomboss’s organizations and companies, they have united in an Alliance to defeat Gray Gravel and take back the homeland under the corporation of Z-Tech.Industries.
Appearance
Crazy Dave is a human that wears a white t-shirt with blue jeans and a brown belt. He also have a grey sauce pan on his head. His design also gave him a large brown beard on his face, along with his brown hair and eyebrows. After founding Z-Tech, his right sleeve gained the Z-Tech Logo as a armband.
Personality
Crazy Dave portrays as a mentally ill person who has unusual behavior, such as eating food on the floor and scaring people in the fog without an apparent reason.
On the other hand, Dave is also intelligent, as he could build machines such as the Junkasaurus, Penny, and a Robot Dinosaur.
Crazy Dave likes eating food, especially tacos. He dislikes cats and zombies.

Skillset:
- Gardening: Crazy Dave has a huge interest in gardening. As a botanic fighter against a zombie invasion, he uses this kind of skill to fend them off.
- Inventions: He is fond of creating effective machines that can be useful for everyday lives, or in dangerous situations. Most of his inventions are made of recyclable materials.
- Multilingualism: Crazy Dave can fluently speak Spanish due to his time on foreign language subject back when he was in high school, as well as French and Italian(even he's only in beginner level as his niece taught him). And he can also understand the 'frog language' from Zuma Frog.
- Hand-to-Hand Combat: Due to experiencing in the fight during Zombie invasion, Crazy Dave has shown to possess excellent hand-to-hand combat skills when he did not hesitate to engage in a battle of fisticuffs with Dr. Zomboss.
- Engineering: Along with Gardening, Dave is also incredibly good with machinery. Building giant robots is a personal passion of his.
