Francisco Gómez de Mendiola y Sahagún, O.P. (born 6 May 1961) is a Mejican theologian, Dominican friar, and canonist who is currently serving as the Inquisitor General of Mejico, since his appointment and confirmation in 2022. He is Emperor Agustín VI's personal confessor.

A graduate of the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome, Gómez de Mendiola obtained a Doctorate in Theology and specialized in ecclesiastical law. Throughout his career, Gómez de Mendiola has held various positions within the Dominican Order, including teaching at several prominent universities and serving as an advisor to bishops. His dedication to the preservation of Catholic orthodoxy and his commitment to the ideals of the Inquisition earned him the appointment as the Inquisitor General by Pope Ambrose.

Between 1997 and 2006, he worked at Radio María in Mejico, promoting Catholic teachings through the media. During his time at Radio María, Gómez de Mendiola used his platform to address theological and moral issues, engaging with listeners and providing clear explanations of Catholic doctrine. His work as an apologete led to him writing two theological books: "Defensa Fidei" and "Modernitas, Moralitas". These books garnered widespread acclaim for their explanations and practical applications of Catholic teachings in the modern world.

Gómez de Mendiola's experience in media outreach has contributed to his ability to communicate effectively with both the clergy and the laity. He recognizes the importance of reaching out to the wider population, not just through traditional means, but also through modern channels such as social media and online platforms. He is known online as "Padre RR.PP.", meaning "Father Public Relations" due to the importance he places on engaging with the public and fostering a positive image of the Church in contemporary society.
