Galdona, officially the Republic of Galdona (Galdonic: Republika da Galdona) is a country in the TBD subcontinent of southern Verdantis. It borders by TBD to the north, Remania to the northeast, TBD to the east, TBD to the south, and TBD to the east. The country's capital is Carenolli, while the largest city is Vanetto.
Galdona is a federal parliamentary republic with social democratic form of government in which the left-leaning political parties dominated the country. Consul is the two-person head of state, while the President is the head of government. The legislature of Galdona is the unicameral National People's Congress. As of 2024, Galdona has a population of over 56 million people.
Strasus and Fratuni are the original settlers in the country during the ancient times. The former are the hunters, while the latter are the fruit gatherers. These two tribes united in 2nd century to form the First Kingdom of Galdona. However, the first kingdom was conquered by the Remani Empire for 300 years until it declared independence in TBD resulting the re-establish of the Galdonian monarchy as the Second Kingdom of Galdona. Queen Marya V died in TBD with no heirs, but her relatives didn't have an interest to the Galdonian throne. Galdona converted from monarchy into a republic.
