Gunther Heinrich Lorenz (born 30 December 1955) is a retired Continental Navy admiral who served as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the professional head of the Continental Armed Forces, from 2011 until 2016. Other senior posts he held include Commanding Admiral of Southern Command, of Southern Fleet (Naval Forces South), and of the Southern Submarine Force. Before becoming an admiral Lorenz served as the captain of multiple nuclear ballistic missile submarines, and was also director of Naval Reactors. Since 2017 he has been a member of the Central Committee of the Continentalist Party.
