Template:MilitaryThe Islamic Federation Armed Forces are the military forces of the Islamic Federation of States. It consists of the Army, the Navy, Air Force, Space Navy and the Border Force. The Council of the Heads of the Government is the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces and forms military policy with the Ministry of Defence and the Council of the Ministers of the Interior, both federal executive departments, acting as the principal organs by which military policy is carried out. The official and working language of the Islamic Federation Armed Forces is Arabic.

The Islamic Federation Armed Forces draw its personnel from conscription, which is mandatory for all male and Muslim citizens. Although most of the active personnel are professional soldiers.

Structure

Leadership of the Armed Forces, to include the Council of the Heads of the Government, Minister of Defence, the Council of Ministers of the Interior and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff are members of the Islamic Security Council, which advises the Council of the Heads of the Government on national security, military, and foreign policy matters. The Federal Security Advisor and Deputy Federal Security Advisor may also be members of the Islamic Federation Armed Forces. The Security Council Deputies Committee also includes the Vice Minister of Defence, Vice Ministers of the Interior, and Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The Islamic Internal Security Council, which advises the Council of the Heads of the Government on homeland security, includes the Council of the Heads of the Government, Minister of Defence, the Council of Ministers of the Interior and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The Internal Security Advisor may also be a member of the armed forces. Military leadership, including the Minister of Defence, Council of Ministers of the Interior, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff also sit on the Federal Space Council.

Service branches

Army

The Islamic Federation Army (IFA) is the land service branch of the Islamic Federation Armed Forces and part of the civilian-led Secretariat of the Army, which is led by the Secretary of the Army. The military head of the Islamic Federation Army is the chief of staff of the Army, who is assisted by the vice chief of staff of the Islamic Federation Army and sergeant major of the Army.

The five core competencies of the Army are to conduct:

  1. Prompt and sustained land combat
  2. Combined arms operations
    1. Combined arms maneuver and wide area security
    2. Armored and mechanized operations
    3. Airborne and air assault operations
  3. Special operations
  4. Set and sustain the theater for the joint force
  5. Integrate national, multinational, and joint power on land

The four army commands are:

  • Islamic Federation Army Forces Command: Provides Army forces to combatant commanders.
  • Islamic Federation Army Recruitment Command: Recruits, trains, and educates soldiers and develops Army doctrine.
  • Islamic Federation Army Supplies Command: Develops, maintains, and acquires systems and materiel.
  • Islamic Federation Army Modernization Command: Modernization and future systems development.

Navy

The Islamic Federation Navy (IFN) is the maritime service branch of the Islamic Federation Armed Forces and part of the civilian-led Secretariat of the Navy, which is led by the Secretary of the Navy. The military head of the Islamic Federation Navy is the chief of naval operations, who is assisted by the vice chief of naval operations and master chief petty officer of the Navy.

The five enduring functions of the Navy are:

Air Force

The Islamic Federation Air Force (IFAF) is the air service branch of the Islamic Federation Armed Forces and part of the civilian-led Secretariat of the Air Force, which is led by the Secretary of the Air Force. The military head of the Islamic Federation Air Force is the chief of staff of the Air Force, who is assisted by the vice chief of staff of the Islamic Federation Air Force and chief master sergeant of the Air Force.

The five core missions of the Air Force are:

Space Navy

The Islamic Federation Space Navy (IFSN) is the space service branch of the Islamic Federation Armed Forces and part of the civilian-led Secretaria of the Space Navy, which is led by the Secretary of the Space Navy. The military head of the Islamic Federation Space Navy is the chief of space operations, who is assisted by the vice chief of space operations and senior enlisted advisor of the Space Navy.

The five core competencies of the Space Navy are:

  • Space security

  • Space mobility and logistics
  • Information mobility
  • Space domain awareness

The Space Navy's field command and center is:

Border Force

The Islamic Federation Border Force (IFBF) is the terrestrial (Border Troops) and maritime (Coast Guard) security, search and rescue, and law enforcement service branch of the Islamic Federation Armed Forces and part of the Council of Ministries of the Interior. It is the only military branch outside the Ministry of Defence, but can be transferred to the civilian-led Secretariat of the Navy or the Secretariat of the Army for the maritime and terrestrial services respectively, in the case that the Council of the Heads of the Government stipulates that when declaring war or the president directs. The military head of the Islamic Federation Border Force is the commandant of the Border Force, who is assisted by the vice commandant of the Border Force and master chief petty officer of the Border Force. The Border Force may have a different official and working language than the official language of the Armed Forces.

The twelve missions of the Border Force are:

The Islamic Federation Border Force is organized into 18 area commands (11 terrestrial and 8 maritime):
