Mede dynasty

The Mede dynasty or Medes are the family and descendants of Titus Mede, a Colovian warlord who took control of the Empire in 4E 17.

Origins

The Mede family originated in western Colovia, near the border with Hammerfell. This area overlaps with the historical region of Meditea, which may be the source of their name. Alternatively, the name (in Cyrodilic Medeus or Medius) might simply indicate a middle child or one born in the middle of the year, in the same vein as Quintus or Septimus.
