National Status of Irradiated Earth

The ruins of North America are slowly being retaken by many young, new, and vibrant nations, most of them merely trying to copy off the old American model. The rapid creation, development, and discovery of these nations amongst themselves has led to the creation of the United Nations of America, a powerful international governing structure that is intended to serve to foster peace and unity. Across the landscape, the radiation from the Great War is beginning to dissipate, new roads and routes are being built, new lands resettled. Mutations and mutated creatures are starting to dwindle, and a new America is being built from the ground up.

Overview

Several major nations have emerged to begin the reconquest of America, including the New California Republic, the United North American States, the Republic of Texas, and more. To the east the NCR continues to expand, though some are worried about its imperialist attitude. In the Midwest, the Khanate of Four Skulls and the Republic of Texas both are setting out into the wastes, though the new superpower found in the UNAS has led to shift in regional power. To the far east the CSA, Atlantic Union, and the United Territories of the Commonwealth are fostering their own alliances, while dealing with the growing power of the Brotherhood of Steel.

Radiation from nuclear war is disappearing and soon America will be clean enough to fully reclaim. The many small warlords, tribes, and simple settlements are being conquered, annexed, or assimilated into the growing national behemoths, leading to rising tensions. Trade is flourishing, however, as nations trade with each other, and a continental communication and trade network is being established.

United Nations of America

Founded in 2285, the UNA is intended to prevent war or conflicts between nations and intended to bring about a new golden America. However, there is some growing factionalism, largely between the UNAS, NCR, and a few other nations. The Treaty of Washington in 2284 has outlined the areas for further annexation, and a large movement in the UNA seeks to bring about the recreation of the United States. But whether this will lead to further fracturing or instead a peaceful unification and creation of a new USA remains to be seen.

The UNA currently can employ its own security force and has great power over individual nations. It currently consists of:
