Saturday, May 10, 2020: Parliament Building, Porciúncula, Gold Coast - Former Prime Minister Nemesis Heartwell gave her first speech since being her recovery from COVID-19 and her first speech as Leader of the Opposition where she announced that she's forming her Opposition Cabinet to oppose Social Democrat Susan Kwon and her government's legislative agenda of which she denounced as an extremist, far-left agenda that threatens the Kingdom of Sierra and the country's monarchy. Many former members from Heartwell's ministry have returned to take up positions in her shadow cabinet such as Kenneth O'Conner and Isabelle Huynh who have both taken positions as Shadow Minister of Defense and Shadow Surgeon General respectively. While her opposition cabinet is still being formed, Heartwell claims that she's ready to take on Kwon and her left-leaning agenda. In her speech, Heartwell laid out her plan to oppose Kwon and claimed that she poses a major threat to Sierra citing her ties to the republican movement, including dissident organizations such as the Sierran Liberation Army, and has called out the Social Democrats' leftward shift towards supporting cultural and political republicanism as part of Kwon's Forwarding the Movement initiative.

"Heartwell has forced the Social Democrats to the left and has pressured moderates, liberals and centrists out of her party and has made it a new republican party. She poses a threat to the nation's monarchy, one of the most renowned, important and vital institutions in this country and as Leader of the Royalist Party, I must fulfill my political and moral obligations to defend the Crown and Her Royal Majesty Queen Angelina II of Sierra from Kwon's radical far-left agenda which threatens this great union. As Leader of the Opposition, I will do everything I can to make sure that never happens nor will I let Kwon and her allies threaten to undermine the free market and undo years of economic prosperity and progress made throughout the last century and will hold her accountable for her radical actions."

Kwon gave a brief response to Heartwell's speech stating that she expected it and states that she will do everything she can to pass her legislative agenda and won't let Heartwell interfere. In her response, she accused Heartwell of engaging in red scare tactics and for fear mongering about the party's policies such as single-payer healthcare, universal basic income, workplace democracy and workers co-ops. The Democratic-Republicans under Maggie Chan have voiced their support to Kwon and state that the party will stand behind her and will work to oppose Heartwell and the Royalist-led opposition.
