The Council of the Presidium of the United Federation of Nations, also known as the Presidium of the United Federation or simply the Council of the Presidium, is the Collective body of the UFN after the dissolution of the previous Federal Executive Committee. The Council is basically the collection made up of delegates from the federation's member states, with delegates being up for elections every ten years. They are elected directly by the people and individually approved by the Regional Congresses of their nations. Acting as the head of the Presidium is the President of the Presidium, a first among equals who has special powers that were created to allow the Council to act quicker and more decisively in times of emergency. The Presidium acts as an Advisory board to the President along side the cabinet.
The Council is housed in the capital of the current head of state, that being Suburmania in the Suburban Republic. The head of state, officially known as the President of the Council of the Presidium, is usually a head of state of one of the states within the federation, with a new Head of the Federation being selected upon the death of the prior Head by members of the Council. In the event that the Head of the Council was either incapable of taking office, was not yet selected, or in certain exceptional circumstances the Prime minister or deputy of the country would become the Interim Head of the Council.

Constitutional powers of the Presidium
Since the late 21st century, the Presidium has the following responsibilities according to the UFN Constitution:
- representing the federation both inside and outside the country
- protecting equality of State nationalities
- proposing a candidate for the President
- Must serve full term
- May use any government owned object without permission
- May fire any government official at will
- appointing staff officers for the Regional Defense Councils and, if needed, also other agencies (one of such is Federal Council for Protection of the Constitutional Order)
- giving quarters and awarding state decorations
- Appointing ambassadors and other international representatives, no more than two-thirds of which may come from the Federation;
- Representing their worlds in global and international organizations and institutions and seeking membership in such organizations and institutions of which it is not a member;
- Proposing, upon the recommendation of the Federal Cabinet, an annual budget to the Congress;
- Performing such other functions as may be necessary to carry out its duties, as may be assigned to it by the Supreme Congress, or as may be agreed by the Entities.
