Serranica ( listen) is a coastal region in the eastern Barbamense of Sorca.
History
Serranica takes its name from the city of Seranq, known in ancient times as Serenike. Serranica was one of the places visited by Pennesios, who noted its "painted coves" as one of the wonders of the world. In the Middle Ages, small kingdoms were centered at Seranq and its northern neighbor, Talanq. The area was conquered by the Qikunge Empire in the 12th century.
