The Social Democrats of America, commonly referred to as Social Democrats or Soc Dems and abbreivated as SDA is an Anglo-American political party and political group comprising of various social democratic and democratic socialist parties from across the different member states of the Conference of American States, although it does include affiliate parties from non-CAS members as well. The party was founded in 1966 after various left wing members of the Liberal Democrats of America left the party to form a new one aligned with their views. The party is currently lead by Jared Lester and is lead in the American Parliament by TBD.

The Social Democrats of America is an alliance of the various social democratic and democratic socialist parties located around the Conference of American States and its core base supports creating a more modern and progressive CAS by creating a social democracy centered around progressive ideals. Many of the Soc Dem supporters support a more united and centralized American government, while still retaining the rights and sovereignty of member states. Many of the Soc Dem supporters also support less restrictions on immigration and the creation of a more authoritative judical system to keep member-states accountable and also to enforce CAS laws. The SDA is affiliated with the international Progressive Alliance and Socialist International.

Throughout it's existence, the Social Democrats of America have been one of the largest third parties in the American Parliament and have been supportive of Liberal Democrat and United Federalists governments, despite disagreeing politically with them. The three largest members of the Social Democrats of America are the Social Democrats of Sierra, the Progressive–Labor Party of Astoria, and the Farmer Labor Party of Superior. Like other parties in the CAS, the Social Democrats of America have affiliated organizations, including the Young Social Democrats of America and the Student Social Democrats of America, which both aim to increase the party's popularity with younger, and future, voters.
