The '''Alessian Slave Rebellion''' (c. 1E 242–243), also known as the '''Great Slave Rebellion''' or the '''Alessian Revolution''', was a successful uprising against the [[Ayleids]] carried out by a group of escaped slaves led by [[Alessia]]. Initially a small revolt in the vicinity of [[Sardavar Leed|Sard]], the movement quickly spread to all of [[Cyrodiil|Cyrod]], and its ranks swelled to the tens of thousands. The Slave Rebellion culminated in the capture of [[White-Gold Tower]] and the creation of the [[Alessian Empire]], and led to the decline of the [[Ayleid civilization]].
