  • Aguila Saleh Issa, Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives, asks the armed forces of Egypt to intervene if the Government of National Accord (GNA) attempts to capture the city of Sirte.

Business and economy

• Segway Inc. announces that it will end the production of its personal transporter on July 15, ending years of production that began in 2001.
• Japanese manufacturing company Olympus announces that it will exit the camera business after 84 years citing financial losses and their inability to compete with smartphone cameras being major factors in their decision.

Health and environment

• COVID-19 pandemic in North America
  • Ambassadors from all member states of the Conference of American States in a meeting hosted by the American Center for Disease Control to develop the critera necessary for the proper reopening of both internal and external borders which is dated for July 18.

  • Deadlock is met in the High Council of Superior as the Liberal Democrat-led coalition blocks a police reform bill from the United Conservative Party-led opposition claiming that it didn't do enough to adress police brutality.

  • Voting stations prepare for elections held by the provincial Libertarian parties in San Joaquin, Santa Clara, Reno and Tahoe starting on June 28.
