- June 2020 Pashtunistan attacks, War in Pashtunistan
- Two members of the Pashtunistan Independent Human Rights Commission are killed in a bomb attack after an explosive detonated underneath their vehicle in Kabul. The Taliban denies responsibility for the attack and no other group has yet to claim responsibility. The League of Nations condemns the attack.
- Insurgency in Cabo Delgado
- An ISIL-affiliated group launched an attack on a town near billion-dollar gas projects managed by both Total S.A. and Exxon Mobil in Mocímboa da Praia, Mozambique. A spokesperson for the army said that the military had suffered casualties in the attack.

- COVID-19 pandemic in India
- The number of COVID-19 cases in India surpasses 500,000 after 18,552 new cases were confirmed in the past 24 hours, the highest toll to date. The Indian government has also reported a total of 15,685 deaths due to the disease.

- The Government of National Accord, the internationally-recognized government of Libya, calls on the Conference of American States and the European Union to impose sanctions over the activities of Russian mercenaries and other foreign actors in Libya who have forced their presence in the El Sharara oilfield.
