The Tilaga System is a solitary star system located 28.1 light-years from the Sun and 6.2 light-years from the Ingffhaestian System. The system is known to humans as CD Ceti and is orbited by seven planets, of which only the second planet has been discovered by the humans. Though none of Tilaga’s planets are habitable, the third planet - the gas giant Tarjei - is orbited by two habitable moons: Tristania and Ferre.
The Tilaga System is home to two native sentient species: the Tristanian species of Tristania and the Feran species of Ferre. The Tristanian species resembles humans, but with antlers and (in the case of males) wing-like extensions used to attract mates; their society, which consists of numerous nations united under the Federal Union of Tristania, is slightly more advanced and progressive than humanity. The Ferans, meanwhile, have a much less humanlike appearance; their civilization, which is known simply as Ferre (civilization), is much more technologically advanced and alien than the Tristanians. However, both civilizations practice peaceful relations with one another.
The civilizations of the Tilaga System were the closest intelligent civilizations to the Ingffhaestian System and the first to be encountered and colonized by the Unified States of Osuwa amidst the Uingffhian civilization’s era of interstellar imperialism. Though Tristania and Ferre were initially peacefully integrated into Osuwa, tensions arose between the native Tilagans and their Ingffhaestian colonizers over Osuwa’s corporate deregulation, which eroded the quality of life for both Tristanians and Ferans.
