Uriel VII
Uriel Septim VII (Cyrodilic: Uriel Septimius Septimus; 3E 346 – 433) was the last crowned emperor of the Septim dynasty, and the penultimate Septim emperor overall, before Martin (who was declared emperor but died before being crowned).
Inheriting the throne from his father, Pelagius IV, in 3E 368, Uriel reigned for 55 of the 65 years he was crowned emperor. In 3E 389, he was secretly imprisoned in Oblivion by the battlemage Jagar Tharn, who, using illusion magic, impersonated the captive emperor for a decade, in what became known as the Imperial Simulacrum. Uriel was freed from captivity by the Eternal Champion in 3E 399, and was subsequently restored to the throne. He would go on to reign for another 34 years, until his assassination in 3E 433, on the eve of the Oblivion Crisis.
During his rule Uriel VII wed Caula Voria, and sired four legitimate heirs: Ariella, Geldall, Enman and Ebel. He additionally fathered at least two sons outside of wedlock: Calaxes (who was publicly acknowledged) and Martin (who was secreted away and unacknowledged).
