General Charles Martin Boix Rossell (/bɒʃ rəˈseɪ/, Catalan: [boʃ (i) ruˈseʎ]; January 25, 1892 – May 2, 1968) was a Kalșerian aviator, general, entrepreneur and politician, noted for being the driving force behind the establishment of the Air Force and for being the founder of aircraft manufacturing company BoixRossell.
Born in Evalria to Catalan merchants from Castelldefels, Boix Rossell graduated from New Leeds University and joined the Navy as a member of the naval aviation, eventually being promoted to chief of the branch. Thanks to his support of Ioen Rovuan, he was appointed Minister of War and, at his behest, the Air Force was established on January 1, 1933 and Boix Rossell was made General. After the fall of Ioen Rovuan, Boix Rossell was tried in Lennoxton, but was later acquitted due to insufficient evidence. In the immediate post-Ioen Rovuan years, he founded BoixRossell; initially focusing on modifying existing aircraft, the company would later create its own airplanes, helicopters and other devices.
After leaving the Movement for Action, he joined the Liberal Republicans; he was appointed Minister of Defense by Prime Minister Enrico Scioni.
He died on May 2, 1968 in Miami; in his will, he wrote two clauses: that both his children Charles Jr. and Martina be made CEOs of his company, and that a national space agency be established.
An ardent supporter of Catalan independence, Boix Rossell served as president of the Union of Catalans in Kalșeri. In 1956, he turned down an offer to become the Kalșerian Ambassador to Spain, due to his political positions and his opposition to the Francoist regime. His daughter would serve in that role from 1978 to 1984.
