China, represented by the Republic of China Olympic Committee (ROCOC), competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Istanbul, Anatolian Republic. Originally scheduled from late July to early August 2020, it was postponed until 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. China has appeared in every edition of the Summer Games since 1924, and has qualified athletes to compete in every one of the 34 supports at the 2020 Olympics.

China would finish the 2020 Summer Olympics with a total of 89 medals won; 38 gold, 32 silver, and 19 bronze. Their performance was an improvement from the previous games in 2016 where they won a total of 70 medals last time.
