Eagle Broadcasting Network News, abbreviated as EBN and commonly known simply as Eagle Broadcasting and EBN News, and stylized in call caps, is a Sierran multinational conservative cable news television channel based in Porciúncula, Gold Coast. It is owned by EBN Media, a subsidiary and the media division of the Eagle Broadcasting Network. EBN News broadcasts outside of downtown Porciúncula and is aired in 86 countries and overseas territories worldwide with EBN Extra being aired during adbreaks as part of international broadcasts.

EBN News was founded on 7 October 1996 by Roger Murdoch, an Australian-born media mogul in order to appeal to wider conservative audience. To accomplish this, he would hire Thomas Moore, a former media consultant to the Royalist Party, to serve in an executive position and would serve as the founding and first CEO of the company. Launched in 1996, EBN News first aired to an audience of 17 million subscribers. It would grow in the 1990s and 2000s to become one of the dominant cable news networks in all of Sierra. In 2019, EBN News was rated the second highest-viewed news station in Sierra behind only RBS News and is available on 90% of all television sets in the entire kingdom.

Over the course of its history, EBN News has been the focus of numerous controversies surrounding its bias in reporting, coverage of politicians and parties and adherence/violations of journalist ethics. Controversies have included positive coverage of the Royalist Party and other conservative parties, politicians, organizations and causes while negatively portraying liberal and progressive parties such as the Democratic-Republican Party and Social Democrats along with liberal and progressive organizations, movements, politicians and people in a negative light. Critics have cited the channel as detrimental to the integrity of news overall and have also been accused of promoting deep division and worsening pre-existing political polarization. EBN has defended itself by denying claims of political and ideological bias and has claimed that its reporting is independent of its own opinion journalism.

EBN News is owned by Media Corp, a media corporation that owns various conservative television channels and media outlets from across Anglo-America where it sees much of its international audience at. Its main language is in English, however it is also translated and broadcasted in other languages such as Spanish, French, German and Vietnamese among others.

2013 federal election

During the campaign season for the 2013 Sierran federal election, ENB News garnered attention for its coverage of the candidates, competing parties and party leaders. The network gave glowing coverage to Daniel McComb having interviewed him and his supporters numerous times, ran ads featuring McComb, promoting him and the Royalist platform for the election. By contrast, Steven Hong was portrayed as a corrupt and out of touch politician that was neglectign issues that deeply effected ordinary Sierrans. He and the Democratic-Republican Party along with the Greens and Social Democrats were portrayed very negative and endorsed McComb and the Royalist Party viewing Hong and his coalition as a "disaster for all Sierra" according to Reagan herself.

Sierrexit

EBN News has been nicknamed the "Sierrexit channel" for its coverage of Sierrexit and all issues related to the Conference of American States. EBN has been vocal in its harsh criticism of the CAS and has been vocal in its advocacy for Sierra's withdrawal from the organization. The network supported McComb's support for Sierrexit and broadcasted negative coverage to all politicians who opposed the 2017 Conference of American States Membership Referendum Act and supported the Leave Campaign during the referendum on SIerra's membership in the CAS in July 2019.
