Sierran Pictures (legally Sierran National Studios Inc.) is a Sierran film production and distribution company, headquartered in Saintiana, Gold Coast. It is a subsidiary of Media Corporation, a Media conglomerate based in the Media Corporation Center in Porciúncula, Gold Coast. Sierran Pictures is one of the Big Five of both Sierran cinema, and Anglo-American cinema.

It was formed in 1915 from the merger of the Golden Film Company and Sierra Film Manufacturing and was originally known as the Golden-Sierra Film Company. In 1922, it was further renamed to Sierran Film Company, then became Sierran Pictures, Inc in 1935, after being purchased by the Western Bell Company. In 1970, the name would be changed to it's current legal name after Western Bell sold them to Baron Orange, though it continues to use Sierran Pictures as it's trade name.

History

Golden Film Company was founded in the early 1900's by Benjamin Gold, a californian businessman who was interested in the then emerging medium of film. Their first production would be The Count of Monte Cristo, directed by Francis Boggs and starring Hobart Bosworth in the title role.
