The 2020–2021 Superian political crisis is an ongoing political crisis in the Kingdom of Superior which began in 2020 following the murder of George Floyd and later escalated over the controversial handling of the ensuing protests and demonstrations across Anglo-America and numerous issues surrounding the government of President Jennifer Granholm of the Liberal Democratic Party. The crisis has since escalated to include issues of voting rights, election integrity, and protecting Superian democracy.
While the crisis itself began in 2020, it has its roots in 2018 following accusations of bullying and ethical violations committed by members of Granholm's cabinet who reportedly pressured and intimedated government officials, political allies, and certain members of the Progressive Bloc which became a major scandal bu 2019 with calls for an independent investigation and the issue of government transparency and accountability becoming a forefront issue. The Granholm government would then find itself in more controversy over its handling of the George Floyd protests where it voiced support for the movement, but only factions of the bloc supported meeting the demands of the protestors. Along with that, Leader of the Opposition Isaac Dillon of the United Conservative Party would accuse Granholm of complicity in urban terrorism for not condemning the riots and would claim her inaction emboldened "looters, rioters, and Landonist trash".
Starting in 2021, a new phase of the crisis occurred over Larry Parker being re-elected Governor of Uppasala over Daniel Meijer with the latter accusing Parker of winning due to accused voter fraud which was investigated by Roger Ferguson, the Liberal Democratic Attorney General of Uppasala, from April 8 to June 30 concluding that Parker had won in a legitimate fashion, however the results have sparked new protests over the election results, with many calling for a recount of votes. In September, allegations would emerge of an attempted takeover of the judiciary by Granholm leading to further division and controversy. The current crisis has been described as the most divisive period in Superian history, with historians claiming it even surpasses the divisiveness seen following the nation's independence.

The scandal would first begin in early 2018, when former presidential aide Leroy James would publish a document listing the abuse and intimidation he experienced while working for Granholm. James's document would inspire other former staffers and interns of the president to come forward with their own experiences. The allegations would rock the Granholm government, with its popularity amongst the Superian populace quickly declining...
