A large number of Irians accept the offer from Emperor Tyrelius, choosing to settle in Hythian lands rather than fight the Hythian government. The Yazradid Empire also accepts the royal marriage proposed to it by the Hythians.

The Qeran invasion of Odzeba is successful, with the Qerans successfully capturing the nation’s capital after a siege. The Qerans suffer 8,300 casualties in total, owing in part to the difficult terrain and the natives’ hit and run tactics.

Attacks by Nelirites become frequent in the city of Edom, with the population equating them with the Epiphenite dictatorship that briefly ruled over the city, leading to condemnation.

Ghatnura are defeated in a pivotal campaign in their territory, in which the nation of Vhaynos suffers 2,400 casualties. As a result the confederacy accepts Vytian rule once more, with Vhaynos capturing (or recapturing) a moderate amount of plunder.

The nation of Thïgæ discovers that the natives of the southern land, known as the Lheceshites, are highly hostile to their settlement. They successfully raze Thïgæ’s colony, killing or capturing its inhabitants. They also possess a small number of weapons and goods from their brief interactions with traders from Vhaynos, which aids them in their raid.

Fiercely independent, the nation of Anlunema, declines the offer from Beraba. Gahrenese settlers intermix with the natives of the island, with a number of tribes becoming allied with the Anlunema.

An empire known as Sapinakasa forms, after a ruler named Serad successfully conquers the tribes of his region. His armies turn toward the north, uncovering new tribes as they proceed.

The explorers dispatched by the Azozians to the south make contact with a kingdom along the coast in the far south, known as the Leukani.

  • Tsardom of Algeorgia: After the anouncement of the Lighthouse of Algeorgiaville, the people wonder why it is built. So in response, the tsar holds a question-and-answer speech. People are allowed to ask the tsar directly questions and he responds. The lighthouse which was completed in 709 is used for helping ships at night not run into cliffs. The Tsar also announces the renovation of the Holy Temple, and as it is announced the people cheer and hooray the tsar's decision. The statue of the First Holy Dodo is being made in gold and ivory and is estimated to be 20 meters high. In regards to military development the General of the Army says that the tsar has approved of the chariot plan. The chariot plan will establish a branch known as cavalry to the army.
  • Holy Empire of Hythus: Years 388-397 Since the Return of Hythus. The Irian refugees are settled around a new city in the north. The city quickly develops a unique culture as Irian cultural artifacts blend with traditional Hythian foods, language, and mannerisms. The new city, Yra, is quickly connected to the nation’s network of roads and becomes a valuable producer of cattle, grain, and dry-land crops such as beans and legumes. The end of the crisis relating to the eruption of Mount Cambor sees revenues and the imperial treasury swell. Regional cities continue their rise and there are now many centers of regional power in the nation. The port planned at the end of the last decade begins its construction, first an artificial inlet is cut into the Tythies estuary, then the semi-circular harbor constructed. This military port also features a large shipyard equipped with rudimentary cranes and a launch yard. The first ships built by the port are three small exploration craft (Sambuks), which are promptly sent to the northwest to learn more about the lands across the sea. Work begins on constructing several larger galleys armed with rams and eyscurpieron. These catapults shoot either bolts with incendiary charges or small pots willed with a mixture of petroleum, resin, sulfur, and quicklime and have fuses of tar-soaked rags. These pots not only ignite when broken in water, but also spread sticky and waterproof flames across any surface. The first of these galleys is launched in 397. The commercial port also proves a valuable addition as exports abroad continue to drive the trade economy. Goods from across the empire flow through this port while spices, luxuries, and metals such as copper and tin flow in. Faith is Hythus spreads rapidly in Mythadia thanks to the Emperor’s faith. The cults of Bysulus and Tykus also grow and merge with the local Cult of Talas. Worship of Talas, as well as other Mythadian gods enter the Hythian pantheon. Agricultural production increases due to the expansion of farmlands, the use of human, bovine, and equestrian excrement to enrich the already fertile volcanic soil. More canals and tythoruses are constructed for irrigation. Crop-rotation strategies become firmly entrenched and are effectively universal. The population grows immensely due to increased wealth and nutrition.
  • Mouri Empire: The expeditions of Horatian were instrumental to establishing the western trade network for Azoz. After returning to the north on a diplomatic mission to Otan in the early 680s AR, he returned to the south to open up close trade relations with the Leukani, sending many Apostles of Ulm to preach the words of Nelrim there. From there, his final expedition was commissioned to travel an additional 1,000 miles farther along the coast, either charting the peninsula or pressing straight southward. Across this western trade, Ulmian apostles continue to send missions to Otan, Isimadia, Jasmira and now Leukani. The tragic end of Dionide's career cuts off abruptly in the historical records, as Palto never actually describes his final fate. Contemporary chronicles indicate that he was murdered by the upper echelon of philosophers by being assaulted with rocks, but it is not clear what the context of this event was. No laws in either Azoz or Edom permitted death by stoning, and in fact some early anecdotes imply this was the end result of a heated debate. The most detailed description comes from the Martyrdom of Dionide, a fancifully-exaggerated biography written many centuries after the event. According to the Martyrdom, Dionide at long last was challenged by the chief philosophers of Iskandaria to a formal debate, where he staunchly defended his position of the Social Contract, limited government and universal justice. When the philosophers were unable to make a sound reply, they took up stones and beat him to death. Nonetheless, through the published works of Palto, Dionide's school of philosophy persisted on for many generations afterward. The Yannian attempts at head-hunting in Azoz steadily died out over time, as more and more villages were closed off from Yannis or simply avoided them at all costs. This generational shift was the true beginning of Azoz's complete isolation from the eastern world, as well as the other nominally-independent kingdoms nearby. This was largely the cause of the Nelirites lack of support in Edom during this time, seeing their extremist actions as overcompensating for a lesser issue. The double-faced coins are more commonly associated with this period as well. As one of his last acts before passing the office to his successor, First Citizen Erisoh ordered the construction of a larger canal system across the Ashe River delta, helping to greatly irrigate the dryer lands south of Teman and expand agriculture there. Due to the renewed competition between rival kingdoms and nobility, a new sprint of technological progress was made. The cam mechanism is attributed to the Library of Azoz, as its oldest appearance archaeologically are found in water mills around the upper Ashe River. Among the military manufacture arsenal in Usilinago, the archaeology reveals a rapid experimental progression between different types of metallurgy, which ultimately culminated in the development of the blast furnace. General Noosents the Younger, working for Cassius V of Neum, organizes a new expedition to once again exert control over the region of Zeun up to the borders agreed upon with the Khin. Utilizing the military logistical reforms developed in recent years, as well as a larger refinement of arms manufacturing, Noosents mounted a large force of 58,000 soldiers, well-supplied enough to prevent issues of attrition or unnecessary casualties as in previous conflicts. In addition, up to 8,000 soldiers were added from among the Khin mercenaries to help in this war. Upon completing this campaign, Noosents was next employed by the new governor of Eskaladun, to deploy 13,000 soldiers north along the coast to subjugate the Darnan colony there. Eskaladun is sent a large number of immigrants from Azoz to settle in the new imperial lands, and several monasteries are built there along with the basilicas that had existed since ancient times. The mass production of Ulmian material by the Darnans is a surprising benefit to the Ulmian church, who otherwise doesn't currently have such dedicated government sponsorship. Although their intentions were evil, the result succeeded to propogate recognition for Ulm in many places that would never had heard the Gospel otherwise. The Apostle Benetrix particularly capitalized this during his ministries across Jasmira, Zeun, and Syres, using the proliferation of Darna as a baseline to then build up the actual truth of Ulm. In one shocking instance, Benetrix himself purchased a large number of pamphlets from the Emiresq, and used them to minister to a number of brothels and slave markets across the kingdoms of Zeun and Jasmira.
  • Zelonuma Emiresq: Having destroyed the Ulmerite faith of the Thotites so completely, the Darnans set about destroying it worldwide. Seeing the great difficulty it is to destroy their many pamphlets spreading religious doctrine, the Darnans of the Zelonuma Emiresq set about mass producing books of completely incorrect scripture and ritual. These fake Ulm books will be distributed across the lands, confusing many, and turning people away from the illogical Ulmerite religion. The second book that becomes popular is on sexuality, eroticism and emotional fulfillment in life, including the correct techniques for the Zelonuma Emiresq religion. It is dictated that a faithful and pious person should seek to use a Nathon at least once a week. The pious man should grab Nathon with a hand on either side of his head, then force his sexual organ into Nathon’s mouth until fulfillment is reached. All the while the pious man should recite a careful prayer and hymn with each motion of the ritual.
  • Qera: After long and successful reign that lasted for over 50 years, Ycas V dies in Imbalama at the beginning of the century. He is followed by his niece Zatlahe IV who is just 13 by his death and has to wait for two years. She has now the Qeran realm on her hands at its peak of territory and wealth. Due to her young age she is the playball of the intrigues of the court. One of her most trusted advisors is Vórler of Ollea who leads most of the courts businesses. Settlers are sent to the newly annexed area of odzeba immediately, making it a densly populated region (THE SOUTH BECOMES RURAL). (more to be added)
  • Mesallian Culture: The arrival of the Neirites in the city of Edom brought a momentary end to peace within the city. During the lifetime of Shameza II the careful delineation between Ulmians, Zamists, traditionalists, and Enulmians prevented violence and kept a balance of power, but the rise of the Ulmian extremists marked the end of this period. Instability began when several high ranking Zamists were suddenly assassinated, with an Azozian bull painted in blood as a calling card. Later, a temple was suddenly pillaged and looted, with Ulmian propaganda painted over artwork and destroyed statues. Authorities were unable to track down those responsible for the violence, but in retaliation a Zamist mob burned down one of the city’s basilicas. The Nelirites became regarded as a criminal band, similar to the Epiphenites, harming the reputation of even the peaceful Ulmians of the kingdom. Under pressure from the city’s population, Maleka Hesamena issued a law outlawing the Nelirites, with the religion as a whole under intense scrutiny. Around the same time the Nelirites launched their boldest attack to date, sending armed zealots into the libraries and philosophy circles of Iskandria. Known as the Library Massacre, in one day the city’s philosophers and scientists were completely slaughtered. The Nelirites claimed the attack was because of the scientists’ sacrilegious studies. And their tolerance and discussion with Yannians and other non-Ulmians. The attack would be a dark stain on the city, with one of the world’s largest centers of learning and debate destroyed. Numerous attacks of retaliation against Ulmians ensued, leading to the Edomite government dispatching soldiers to the city to restore order. Across Umhlaba the trade networks of the state became a useful tool for the Nelirites. Their doctrine re-appropriated many of the copying stations of the south, with small basilicas becoming meeting places and training camps. Because of this there was consideration that the Edomite government might be forced to invade the remnants of the Xeran Empire, at the encouragement of the non-Ulmian population, but nothing came of this plan initially. In the west the Kingdom of Aexontia became the crossroads of Mesallian, Azozian, Syresian, and Yannian culture, with all four nations taking an interest in colonizing the region. The Syresian Republic sought to prevent the other powers of the region from taking over another state surrounding it, especially after the Yannian-Xeran War saw the region being used to attack Canim and Syres. First the Syresians invested heavily in a highway system across Canim. The nation’s road system already impressively crossed all settlements across Ersgof, but sensing a future need to cross the nation further, the road system would be doubled across Canim. While Syres was distracted, the Kingdom of Erasidon took interest in Aexontia, under the guidance of their newly ascended king, Deidamus II. The Erasidonians had begun to create an empire of trade and influence in the west, having mostly lost control over the Gabatrian Sea. In the chaos of the Xeran breakup, the kingdom looked to dominate nearby Mesallian cities, such as Setia, as well as newly formed settlements and colonies in Xeran territory. To accomplish this the Erasidonians invested in a proper fleet, and combatted Darnnan pirates and other intruders in the region. Erasidon went as far as to threaten to take over several city-states of the Syresian Straits, succeeding in doing so to some. This pushed several to ally with Syres for protection instead. When Syres threatened Erasidon with war if they did not cease attacks against their allies, Erasidon ignored them, owing in part to Syres’ military history of failure against Erasidon and others. This would lead to war in the fourth year of the 125th Jafiad (Year 703), which began with a war at sea in the straits. Despite initial difficulty the Syresian fleet eventually gained the upper hand in the war, and Erasidon was forced to withdraw from the straits a year later. This peace would prove to be temporary, as four years later, in the year of the 127th Jafiad (Year 127), a much larger war broke out. The war was spurred on by a succession in Aexontia, which saw a pro-Erasidonian monarch take the throne. The result was a prolonged land war along the coast, with both sides using Khin mercenaries and Yannian or Azozian volunteers. By this time the city of Syres used a unique system for its army, partially based on the Mesallian system. Despite an early reliance upon mercenaries, Syres began to employ a professional army, with soldiers made a year salary, and the length of a soldier’s service growing. The initial Syresian military was based on class, as soldiers had to pay for their own equipment. As a result only noblemen or the ultra-rich served as native cavalry. The nation’s infantry was divided into three lines, the first being lower-class citizens with basic equipment, the second line possessing advanced equipment. And the third line consisting of veterans with the best equipment, while the lowest-classes comprised the nation’s early ranged units. The war with Erasidon marched a major shift, as the dependency on class was eliminated. Instead, if needed, the state would provide equipment to lower-classes if needed, with these poor individuals finding an opportunity for advancement. That said, initially the army retained the three line system, with each unit within the line acting independently, for the highest degree of flexibility. Although ranged units such as slingers continued to be recruited from the city’s poor, although the city began to employ Azozian archers frequently, before appropriating their archer tradition to some degree as well. At the Battle of Besheva the Syresians achieved a major victory over the Erasidonians, in which the King of Aexontia was killed. The two nations agreed to peace a few years later, which would pave the way for Aexontia to become a Syresian client state.
  • Thïgæ: The settlement of all major rivers on the mainland led to three main expansion programs; coastal, archipelagic, and colonial. While minor expansion continues in the north into the Azorazi (alternate spelling for Aforazi) Valley to claim the rest of the northern river, agricultural land continues to become more and more expensive. A company, Zuhlhyeceaih, translating to the "South Lhyece Company" (Lhyece is the name of the south continent), gains a royal charter and starts to colonize the island chain west and the two islands north of the already claimed islands in the south. Population estimates for 710 range from 120,000 to 125,000 people, although the best estimate is 121,017. Coastal expansion continues, and the yearly monsoons takes care of most watering on the coast, and during the cold but dry winters (assuming the temperature is like India - tropical), desalinated water is used for plants. Raincatchers also begin being used in the monsoon months to conserve water. Exploration is attempted east again, along with continuing south and west. Rural areas grow along the coast, the northern river, and the islands of the south. Peaceful contact is sought out with the Lhyeceshï (Thï word for the Lheceshites). Farming teqniques improve, making yeilds more productive.
  • Yannis Empire: The Anointed One finds it ridiculous that some of his citizens are claiming he allowed “headhunting”, but he did not. His subjects in the west should not claim that had happened from the government, when clearly in that unsafe land the wild animals brought that upon themselves. But nonetheless, the Yannis Empire legally owns the Thotite lands, and the Thotites must be killed from it. It is legally for them to die. If they illegally attempt to prevent Yannians from inhabiting those lands, then the Yannis Empire will send Holy Men to those lands to enforce the law. There will be a great ranging and hunting against the wild animals, so that they cannot harm society any more. If the wild animals are overpowering humans, then clearly they have overpopulated and corrupted the lands, and the Thotites will need to be contained through hunting practices. The Yannis Empire will enforce justice and law, and will strike down the Thotites for violating innocent people. The dens of Azoz, Modom, Teron, Noom, Fasnut, and all the rest, will be destroyed. Those nests of Thotites will be purged. 1,000 righteous and Holy Men must be called upon in crusade. The liberation of Edom was only the beginning. Now the people of the world will reclaim the wilderness, tend to the earth, and rid all of the parasites. The entirety of the Ashe River must be purged, for that river flows with corruption and pollution. Even from the ruins that was Azoz, the filth of their machines, crafting unholy and unnatural creatures, leaks into the waters and destroys the entire world. It is time for the great work of a new generation, for it is every generation’s purpose and calling.
  • Telachitul Republic: With some experience with the more violent southern tribes, En'hoek hopes to continue expansion in light of the new northern threat. However, to make matters simple En'hoek publicly Agrees to the northerners' proposal, and opens trade with them. However, for much of the republic's elite, the nation is still seen as an existential threat. With any opposition clear up to the Northerners' sphere of influence, En'hoek continues to make the sure the military is ready for combat, stationing some elements on the border with the northerners. Even in light of this, however, trade to the north continues. This is used as a way to get spies into the kingdom to suss out its weaknesses. Mostly focused on expansion and war, En'hoek seems interested in continuing most of the domestic polices of his predecessor. As such, annual taxes again swell the nation's treasury by 500 kg of gold over the decade. In addition, the glut of trade provides Armerra with another source of revenue to tax, taking in 300 kg of gold over the decade (to like a shit ton, LMAO). After the patronage of Armeera, Eltaphu is now a reasonably complete, and is reasonably serviceable. In addition, En'hoek continues to fund the development of Icrodel. He continues to promote the book Eveiel, and continues to build various temples, especially in Itochitul and other major cities. En'hoek hopes to use the development of Icrodel as a way to spread Telachitul culture, and bring especially the southern regions closer to the Republic's sphere of influence. With the army working to pacify the north, En'hoek works to expand north along the coastline to continue expansion but avoid the northerner's sphere of influence. In addition, the reign of En'hoek sees the continued growth on the Telachitul navy, keeping even the most unwilling natives in line. With the republic thoroughly dominating the coast both militarily and economically, a few settlements continue to grow, attracting both republican citizens and foreigners. In particular, a significant settlement directly across the bay from Itochitul (the capital) continues to experience significant growth, mostly because of its convenience as a docking location for both merchant and naval ships. The colony's location makes it a useful place to manage both colonization and trade along the coast. In addition, several coastal settlements in the north and a settlement at the northern tip of the southern lake sees moderate growth. Iron working, trade, and ship building continue to thrive as the main industries of Itochitul, the capital city. Ship building is particularly important, as it allows for large scale transport of goods along the coast, which in turn facilitates relatively quick colonization, as well as further trading.
  • Nura Gakan: Ni Gao is picked as the new leader of the Gakan. Ni Gao was picked due to his history of fighting and leading armies up and down the Two-River region. Ulrom becomes the organized polytheisic religious center of the Gakan. This leads to the formation of three idols for the three main gods (Vangar: The god of strength/Dun: God of peace/Ogkut: God of the intelligent). The Nura Gakan religion begins to adopt a holy order mostly expanded by Oral tradition, but this begins to phase out as attempts to study the religion is expanded to the Holy Men of the Gakan. Olama begins to form on the two-river region mostly used as a de facto trade center of the state, placed at the head of the river delta.Ft. Thots is expanded with construction of walls around the fort. Mines begin taking shape in the mountain regions. Naval raiding begins to become a more acceptable form of warfare within the Gakani people, this is mostly support and backed up by the Naval expansion across the Two Rivers. The mines begin to take a new form as the demand for iron is picked up (which is used by the army to flex/kill foes and the formation of new weapons.) Gakani farmers begin setting up farms and things of that sort by the Two-River Region. Trade becomes more and more important causing Ulum to form a navy to protect trade ships up and down the river. We begin to send more settlers toward newly expanded land upon the hope of expanding the Gurkani people and loyalty to the Gak. We begin a military push toward the many rivers below our nation in the hope of expanding the farmlands of the Nura Gakan.
  • Beraba: The Cult of Taheton has grown in Cohibos, and the followers of the Cult almost outnumber those followers of the Fivefold Faith. Religious scholars across the nation debate the legitimacy of the ideology espoused by the cult, that the Five are actually five embodiments of one being. More expeditions continue north and west, fueled by the desire for more trade. Expansion continues east toward the coast of the Beraban Peninsula. Specific breeding of horses has become common practice in the nation. Some draft horses grow to enormous sizes and can pull plows and carts. Other horses are bred for speed to travel back and forth on the roads between cities to deliver messages. Fashion in Beraba begins to take a distinctive turn. It becomes common to see members of the upper-classes wearing multiple layers of colorful textiles, each made from a different type of fabric. The Princely Council has started developing traditional ceremonial dress to reflect each of the regions that they represent, including the regional culture and resources produced there.
  • Drachenia: Konig Alphons trains Prince Halifacs how to make decisions within the government in preparation for he will die in the near future and must leave the konigreich in good hands. Halifacs loves literature and spends most of his time either dueling with soldiers, reading and asking questions from scholars at the academy and library a variety of questions or simply listening to stories told at the square of course under the supervision of royal guards. The adventurous nature of Halifacs makes him desire more expansion into the unknown. Expansion in the Sudlands continue while Wasser also sees expansion. Expansion abroad in Drachenia as well continues quite heavily with assimilation of the tribes and new lands being cultivated. As more towns and cities pop up, urban development expands for waste management as reports had spread that a new disease had infected towns outside Marten and Dragsfurt. Many believe that lacking sanitation has been a large factor as previously, waste disposal was easier. Man-made waterways have been made to allow easier disposal as it would go into the vast sea. Jonnes and Dragsfurt see the first established permanent markets as portions constructed with protection from the elements have allowed property owners to lease off portions. It becomes more popular due to its convenience and it being easier to mark in order to get goods. Exploration across the vast lands of our world are made in both east and west across the north and west within the south. The level of poor people fall.
  • Yusur Civilization: After the disastrous invasions from the sea, which destroyed many cities of the Yusur, it is said that many of the invaders were settled in the region west of the delta, primarily west of the Agaesh River. Inscriptions uncovered from this time from this time would exhibit highly unique word order and vocabulary, while using pieces of Akinite and Yusur script, adding credence to the idea that a foreign powder intermingled with the native peoples of the region. It was during this time that the western settlers came into increased contact with the Baesralite people of the west, which the Yusur called Uanan, after the original inhabitants of the land before the Baesralite arrival. Little is known about Uanan society, as their cities were largely destroyed some 800 years before this time, with the Baesralites settling in what remained of their society. Alternatively the Baesralites may have been descended from the Uananites as well, although their own history, written later, claims that they migrated into the lands and did battle with Uanan. It is likely that the in either case the Baesralites adopted a large part of Uanan culture, as well as pieces from the Yusur, Akinites, and the people settled in the west, both before and after the invasions from the sea. According to one of the few Uanan inscriptions yet discovered, their religion primarily focused on the worship of Baashelan, the father of the gods and the creator, who is also believed to have been the equivalent of the Yusur deity Beshecel, who was popular in the west before the Akinite arrival. Over time the worship of Baashelan slowly evolved into the Baesralite deity known as Eshel, initially as a form of henotheism, and later as their traditional monotheistic deity. An inscription from before the Baesralites’ own history seems to depict a prayer invoking both Eshel and a consort named Askam, who would have been derived from Baashelan’s wife in Uanan mythology, Askedun. In early Baesralite history it appears its people made an effort to separate their god from the earlier god(s), but despite this, many similarities between the two cultures’ religions would be preserved. According to the Baesralite Book of Isghra, Eshel dwells on the top of Mount Nur, similar to Baashelan, while Eshel is described with many of the epithets typically given to Baashel. The collection of stories and scripture that would form the basis of the Baesralite religion is known as the Nilab, and would take numerous influences from the cultures of the surrounding region. From a historical perspective, the text of the Nilab is compiled from at least five different texts, each written in a different period of Baesralite history. The earliest leading theory is that from the oral tradition two forms of the story emerged, split between the north and south, with Source A in the north likely being the first written version, created around Year 100, and Source B in the south being written around Year 220. Source C is estimated to have been written around Year 400, Source D around Year 450, and the final version of the Nilab written at the earliest around Year 600. In the earliest texts, called Eshelist texts, the deity Eshel appears as anthropomorphic to the people of the Baesralites, appearing as a man in versions of the Baesralite stories. As the earliest texts were written in the north, they appear to have a northern slant, mentioning that the southern peoples of the region took part in many atrocities, while praising certain northern leaders. Despite being dated as the earliest source, later historians would argue that Source A had to have been written after Year 300, as it seems conscious of certain societal changes that occurred at that time specifically. Source B differs in that the depiction of the Baesralite deity is more abstract, and often referred to by the name Murael, from the term for a “fear of god”, using angelic assistances in lieu of appearing directly. These Muraelist texts inhabit a fascination with southern Baesralite figures, while speaking negatively of certain northerns, and also interestly changing the religion’s mountain from Mount Nur to Mount Ralemesh. Also, despite the canonical Nilab stating that the hero Jelesh was of great importance after nearly being killed in an event early in his life, Source B claims he did in fact die, and he does not appear in any of his later stories. Source C consists of many different contradictions, and is often nicknamed the “Priest Texts” for its stressed importance of priests, shrines, elaborate rules, and the origins of rituals. In this text the deity of the Baesralites evolves over time, only appearing as Eshel directly in later Baesralite history. Source D is dated to around Year 450, as it details a history of that time largely independent of the other sections of Baesralite history. Within this text the Baesralites receive divine instructions on how to reform their society, and it is speculated that the king at this time wanted to embark on these changes, creating this text to justify the change religiously. This source is also far more centralized, stressing adherence to a primary temple and a central government. Over time all sources would be combined, with historians speculating that two editors pieced together each text to create the canonical scripture of the Baesralites. By Year 700 the canonical texts appear to have already been written, being referenced and mentioned by contemporary historians of the time. These writers describe the migration of the people from the sea and from the east, which ultimately led to the weakening of the southernmost kingdom of the Baesralites, known as Ceshamara. Their city fell soon after, with the invaders taking the lands for themselves. There the Baesralites were scattered into nine groups, known as the Nine Tribes, led by the “Judge” known as Cyrecesh. Under his leadership the tribes conquered the north to unite the region, and defeated the city of Niset on the northern end of the coast, which was likely settled by people of the islands.
  • Sillan Republic: Cabeza Banzena dies in 700. She is replaced by her granddaughter (age 33) Banzenian (a dimunitive of Banzena) – who, like her, is a pious Ulmist.
  • Drachenia: the Drachens continue to expand their lands across the island while the nation expands its trade partnerships. Furthermore, expansion efforts are made in Wasser as well but more so in the Sudlands. Road Infrastructure is expanded and are improved immensely after decades of stagnation without maintenance or further support with stones and solid grounds as many of the roads had only been maintained paths. Farms continue to remain a popular job outside the cities while towns and villages see growth and expansion with the continuing urbanization of cities and other large settlements. Business continue to be established and maintained at permanent markets as they become more popular although the businesses who make less income or rely on reaching each part of the towns and cities as there would still be people who would want to purchase goods that are not near the town square, continue to travel as vendors. Exploration to the east and west within the south continue and same for the north. Educational institutions continue to expand and see popularity as new discoveries and ideas are found or theorized.

  • Mouri Empire: Technological innovations continue to thrive across the empire as competition is feirce between rival kingdoms and cities. Usilinago fully developed the blast furnace around this time according to the archaeology, which was instrumental in fielding their military against the Mesallian influence over Seita. Usilinago's campaigns in this region against Umhala was primarily helped by their alliance to the Lemantarians, who also sponsored their advancement in metalurgy. A mathematician and scholar in Azoz named Archalon experimented heavily with the new cam over water power. He managed to combine its ability with the mathematical basis for storing information via representations of one and zero. Although an impressive feat of engineering for the time, "Archalon's Calculator" certainly wouldn't be considered a computer by any modern definition. Even with the most generous interpretation of its descriptions, it would not have been able to do more than mechanically represent two or three different pre-determined math problems. The "Grand Canal" around Ashe was completed around this time, which immensely expanded the arable farmlands near the capital. It was also around this point that the first bowed instruments appear depicted in both art and archaeology, using horse hair treated in a thin layer of flax. A new theological debate arose among various scholars in the empire on the nature of art, and where it is addressed in any way by the Virtues of Nelrim in the Holy Scriptures. The instigator of this debate is often attributed to an itinerant preacher and social revolutionary Synogenus, and although very few took him seriously due to his lack of formal education, the questions he proposed were seen as a legitimate puzzle. A formal council was called by the Holy Patra in Medan to set forth a dogmatic word on the matter. They determined that the act of appreciating artistic works of various Apostles, Prophets and Angels, being an abstract experience of the soul, is in itself a form of worship, not directed at the man-made created object, but the abstract spiritual essence that image represents. Therefore, works of art which are not directed toward the appreciation of the True God or his ambassadors, but instead give honor to Drokksid or any of his leaders, are to be utterly condemned and removed from the public eye. This ruling had mixed affects across the empire, on the one hand enlarging many basilicas with larger and more dramatic depictions of scriptural scenes, now as works of art approved by the Holy Patra. At the same time, however, non-religious works of art became more heavily regulated, receiving special permission from local authorities on what can be published or not. Of course, due to the de-centralized nature of the Mouri Empire, it was fairly easy to exact approval with a careful system of bribes. In the far west, Horation's last voyage continued to staunchly explore the coast farther south still, but not nearly as far as any of his previous explorations. It would seem for the time being the works of Palo are greatly in question, since it is far more difficult to round the continent of Letsia than originally believed. Local legends would have us believe that Nerath the Spider was leader of the Nelirites at this time, although he appears a lot less frequently in historical record than Synogenus. As the federal government proved impotent toward stopping the inhuman acts of Yannians along the Ashe River, the Nelirites would take matters into their own hands. Nerath is often described as a master of disguise and an unparalleled tactician, who would constantly rob the Yannian head-hunters while breaking free any captured Mourians with both tactics and wit. In one legend, his men snuck into a Yannian camp and liberated a dozen Ulmians, slipping by the guards undetected by claiming their cart was full of relatives with the plague. Once the alarm was raised of this attack, a group of Yannian reinforcements arrived surprisingly quick, and were immediately sent to chase the Nelirites down. However, what they did not realize was these reinforcements were actually led by Nerath the Spider in disguise, and the rest of the soldiers were even more Ulmian prisoners disguised as Yannians to escape. The chronicles of Edom during Zamian rule were notoriously more exaggerated than their Ptelamaic predecessors, one example being the Library Massacre. Although it is true that the library fell into great disuse during the chaos of this era, greatly in need of its later restoration, it was certainly not completely destroyed during this attack. The Nelirites were already in decline before this period, and after the subsequent persecution they completely disappeared from Edom by 595 AR. They had appeal only from lower, peasant classes of society, and only really cared about the affect of Yannian attacks that were more prevalent in other parts of the empire. Only absolute extremists like Synogenus or Salvardo the Unfortunate had broader resentment for the establishment, but even they would hesitate to act on the library that is majority Ulmian already. In fact, it wouldn't be the first time historians exaggerated on the destruction near the library, in comparison to the infamous "Fire of Iskandaria" associated with the Lemantarian War. That being said, the cultural affect on the Library Massacre was incredibly tragic according to the best contemporary sources, and ultimately resulted in the library greatly reducing in size and use. These works were not lost, however, as copies of most books were evenly distributed to the plethora of monasteries known throughout the kingdom of Edom. By the end of the generation, each monastery in Edom had a vast storehouse of knowledge in their collections of books.

Tsardom of Algeorgia - following: The tsar inaugurates the renovated Holy Temple. We also begin developing the capital even more replacing the dirt roads with stone roads and creating a dedicated transportation system. We begin creating a postal system to help with the many letters of gratitude which are sent to the tsar each week. The Six-Pointed Golden Bull Expedition continues as planned but they haven't returned back with the new maps yet.

  • Beraba: A complex caste system begins to be codified. Originally, the only distinction was between the aristocracy and the commoners - then, with the introduction of the Tangakwunu, the scholarly middle-class, more distinctions began to form. At its most basic, the Beraban caste system has five levels - Koshisigre (the Holy), Setangya (the Anointed or the Blessed), Tangakwunu (the Literate), Mankah (the Protectors), and Lansa (the Laborers). Koshisigre and Setangya include the members of the clergy of the Fivefold Faith as well as the royal houses and other aristocracy. Tangakwunu includes skilled laborers, artisans, craftsmen, merchants, landowners, clerks, scribes, scholars, or other literate individuals. This also includes the higher ranks of warriors. Mankah includes other warriors and municipal police. Lansa are the laborers such as farmers, sailors, cooks, etc. There are also tiers attached to foreigners - Viho, Ehane, and Nastas. Viho includes foreign royalty, dignitaries, and diplomats. Viho would be located between the Setangya and Tangakwunu castes. Ehane are other foreigners of special interest or importance, and this rank must be directly bestowed on individuals by someone of the Koshisigre, Setangya, or Viho, and would be equivalent to a Tangakwunu rank. Any other outsiders or foreigners are grouped into Nastas. Those who exist outside the caste system, such as beggars, outlaws, or convicted criminals are given no caste distinction, and referred to only as “unspeakables”. The castes have many ranks and subdivisions within them, with upper and lower distinctions commonly cited. Castes can be inherited, but in many cases these distinctions based on an individual’s parents are forfeited when the child leaves their parent’s care, when they are given their own caste distinction based on their own abilities. New fashion trends increase the demand for exotic birds so that their feathers can be used to create ornaments for the upper-classes to wear. Feathered headdresses, collars, and fans become common, especially among the Setangya. Expansion continues toward the east coast of the peninsula. Contact is made with Irian merchants on the east side of the Beraban Peninsula, and a delegation from the Princely Council travels to the cities there to negotiate trade deals.
  • Qera: The raids from the rising new power Sapenakasa are seen as a very serious threat, as Qera wants to maintain the major power to the southern lands. Spies are sent into the country to gather information about the army's strength and the size of the empire. (MOD RESPONSE, PLEASE). More men are conscripted and intensely trained to be prepared for the worst. The border to the south is fortified and soldiers guard the roads there to prevent more raids. The Feotzij forest in the south is now explored and large portions of it are claimed for Qera. A territory of 50 px is claimed, a road is built and additionally a city is founded there. The new cities name is Dlacckata. To make the tribes there friendly toward the new overlords, they are bribed with iron coins. This is possible because the natives rarely have seen any produced metal before and are fascinated by these shiny and prescious coins, at least in their minds. The Qerans there earn the name Ňeretwyyúmhe, which means "people of the sunstone" in the Ďuúmvasaumhe language. The new county there is called Neretveoma which derrived from the original word for the Qerans. The princess has now grown to handle most affairs by herself, yet she is still influenced by many of her advisors. A major decision was to resettle the densely populated area of Ollea and Ogaholle (where many towns are overcrowded) to Cyrphetezija (10 px become rural) or to the west (50 px become rural to the west). The long lasting peace has a major effect on the demographics, as its now estimated that around 650,000 people live in Qera or an associated vassal. About 20% are estimated to not be adult by Qeran law, which is 15. To plan settlements and calculate the supplies needed for the war (CENSUS, PLEASE). A fleet is sent south to capture the small islands off the coast to the far south. The continents are now defined by cartographers. The lands to the west where Qera is is called Hbyagaa, while the land to the north east is called Hbeagaa. The border is at the north-south split by the river in Sillas.
  • Holy Empire of Hythus: Years 398-407 Since the Return of Hythus. Emperor Tyrelius dies at the age of 73 years after his impressive reign. He is succeeded by his son Kylus who demonstrates much of his father’s wisdom, but lacks in patience. He also takes a love to the workings of money and the economy. His reign quickly becomes little more than an exercise in maximizing the economic efficiency of the imperial holdings. He creates a low-interest lending institution from a part of the imperial treasury which is tasked with making loans to the noble houses, minor nobles, merchants, and other enterprises it deems worthy of the risk. The lending-house proves a valuable economic tool by which the emperor can directly courie favor while also supporting the development of the empire. An example of its lending power is a venture to establish a colony on the island known to sailors from the empire as Lyrasia. The group departs Mythas with a fleet of ten ships, 250 colonists, and 50 mercenaries, as well as an estimated ten months of supplies. Regional cities continue their rise and there are now many centers of regional power in the nation. The three small exploration craft, which are sent to the northwest to learn more about the lands of Yrrisia. A fleet of 12 large trireme galleys, each six meters across and 40 meters long, are constructed and armed with eight eyscurpieron of various sizes. The ships also are equipped with hides that can be wetted and used as armor while sliding iron plates are added to the oar-ports to protect the rowers. A fleet of smaller craft is also ordered to serve as anti-piracy vessels. The ships adopt a new method of construction wherein the hull is composed of overlapping boards (clinker hull). These hulls have proven to be quick, light, and stable craft with sufficient internal volume to carry supplies for extended voyages. Faith is Hythus spreads rapidly in Mythadia thanks to the Emperor’s faith. The cults of Bysulus, Talas, and Tykus also grow, along with other minor cults. In the lands of the Noble House of Tykatus in the Far East, miners, hunters, and trappers begin pushing against a mountain tribe known as the Halati. Low intensity warfare breaks out between soldiers from the noble house and skirmishers from the tribe. The house employs a mixture of armed infantry with pole-axes and crossbowmen, as well as informal units of tough frontiersmen equipped largely with composite bows, hand-axes, shortswords, and an astute knowledge of the terrain. Overall, nearly 3,000 men are involved in the fighting. Agricultural production increases due to the expansion of farmland and the use of human, bovine, and equestrian excrement to enrich the already fertile volcanic soil. More canals and tythoruses are constructed for irrigation. Crop-rotation strategies become firmly entrenched and are effectively universal. The population grows immensely due to increased wealth and nutrition.
  • Yusur Civilization: The Book of Judges from the Nilab is the primary source for the history of the Baesalites, as far as the events from around Year 400 to 750. The time of Cyrecesh, however, marks a shift in the commentary, as the Judges of Baesel usurped power completely from any hereditary monarchy or other form of government. In effect the region had devolved from a small number of kingdoms to the Nine Tribes, a series of cities, and contested regions. The dynasty from Cyrecesh served as the head of the tribes, until the time of Gedesh a generation later. Gedesh was a leader from the Tribe of Goab, slaying the son of Cyrecesh, Luoch. Gedesh’s reign was short lived, as a hero of the tribes named Usnam, who was of low birth and prestige, managed to slay Gedesh. Ironically, the nobles of the region then rejected Usnam, fearing he would usurp the tribes for himself, and he was forced to flee to the lands of Goab, working as a mercenary for several years. Despite this, the history of the judges is marked by a period of wisdom and relative peace. The nine judges of Baesel are known to have addressed each other as “brother”, sent lavish gifts and arranged marriages with each other, and cooperated on issues greater than the kings once did. The Uphra Delta had recovered from the invasion by sea, had settled the invaders along the coast, and also began to take interest in the sea themselves. A warlord named Aquusceleb, possibly from the Muri River or of the confederation ethnically, became the leader of the small island of Obeneshocul. He would declare himself Lord of the Sea, possessing the largest navy of the time, which was assembled from the remnants of the seafaring invaders and from captured ships that the Muri cities had mustered.
  • Taivaie: Having set a thorough example for the Tiiflings, messengers are sent upriver 20 px demanding subjugation or having to contend with immediate invasion and mass killings. Trade increases with the city-state (whatever it's called). In the newly acquired territory, irrigation and clearances are worked upon by poor citizens. The population continues to increase due to a massive food surplus. King Gilean I abdicates due to old age and decides to live the rest of his life studying the arts in his estate. He appoints his second son, Gilavas, to take the reigns of state, but gives important provincial assignments to his siblings in order to placate them.
  • The majority of peoples in the immediate vicinity, who are south of the nation of Taivaie, accept the offer to join them.
    • Taivaie Response: These people are integrated as well.
  • Friorian Culture: The many tribes of the state exist under bronze age-esque technologies and agriculture-dependent economics. Expansion of the culture group is made.
  • Mang/Yuzoni Empire: The new emperor staged a coup d'etat against Akai, and reformed Mang into the Yuzoni Empire. However, this new Empire will still believe in the Five Mangi Stars, which will be renamed into the Five Yuzoni Stars. The emperor was Wihelm Emperor, a long lost believer of the Five Mangi Stars. He was a military general of the Mangi military. His first actions to this new empire is to construct more weaponry and produce a more vast military. He want's to expand the Mangi empire more up north, so that he can create more influence in the Yuzoni culture. can be built there. Meanwhile, a new writer inside of Yuzoni borders, namely called Hozi Malasky, is writing a novel Three Fallen Boys. In this novel, three boys are met with the Feroi of Heozi (OTL Earl of Wessex) who would later show the boys the path to destiny. However, the path to destiny isn't really easy, as the boys had to solve many puzzles to conclude. However, two of the boys fall into the Maze of Destiny, which is considered to be impossible by the Feroi of Heozi. The third boy finally completes the maze, and wins destiny. However, this is all shown to be one huge trap, and the final boy met his fate. The story ends with the epilogue of the person who killed the final boy, and how his life is, and how much guilt he felt. Meanwhile, the military expansion is recruiting jobs for many homeless civilians of Yuzoni, and weaponry is being created. One of the weapons the Yuzonis plan to create is the Hokkdz Sword, which will be a sword dedicated for defense and attack. Ships are also being built, as the navy is expanding slowly but surely.
  • Zelonuma Emiresq: The nation of the Zelonuma Emiresq sees great expansion along the coast. The ancient divide between Zelonuma of the mountains and the Darnans of the coast is bridged. These communities are brought together, with the government sponsoring bridges across the north. The inner cities of the Zelonuma Emiresq, where the kingdom was shifted after the fall of Darna, are now available from the coastal cities, and connected to the janter mines and other resources. In that area great work continues to grow these places. The books published by the government, regarding anti-Ulmian sentiment and pro-Zelonuma Emiresq rituals, are dispersed around the nation and around the world. The navy sees expansion during this time to grow more powerful than the threat posed by the Thotites. The government shifts, with a new king arrising. He moves the capital to Ishteris, located on the southern slope of the mountains, north of one of the northern lakes. This move proves unpopular at first, but the settlement proves to be a good location for growth and development.
  • Yannian Culture: During this time the Yannis Empire became one of the greatest nations to have ever graced the earth, having become powerful and advanced beyond measure. The Holy City of Yagothna-vis became the epicenter of religion and culture, but also of science and philosophy, especially after the Thotite dens were demolished. The peace of the Anointed One was unparalleled and unbreakable, but soon this peace led the Yannians astray. They had become too careless and undeserving, forgetting the great hardships of the empire In the north the incomplete Yannian subjugation of the tribes had been not enough, with these tribes growing stronger and more defiant. They captured the Yannian temple of the north sea, which became the epicenter of their growing confederacy. Perhaps it was an old Thotite curse that corrupted the minds of 1,000 Yannian pretenders, but they eyed the throne greedily. When the great horde in the north arrived, the man known as Grey Conjuring chose to use them to seize the governorship of Niani. The tribes seized the majority of the nation, although in Tesardya they were rebuked. Instead the governor, Xesectuleoc, became the leader of an independent Tesardya, in control of the western Yannian navy. In the east, two sons of the Anointed One split the south, creating east and west. They did this in fulfillment of the wishes of the gods, but soon found the gods did not allow them much of a choice, as inconclusive war showed there would not be any unification. The west became Xemunis and the east became Ocenis. The Yannis Empire had been dissolved, but the culture of the Yannian religion remained.
  • Thïgæ: Yithït IX dies in 716, leading Thehre X to ascend the throne. The southern islands provide great agricultural lands for farmers, and so some opt to go to the archipelago to farm rather than the high priced river and coastal lands, although others still buy the river and coastal lands. The coup d'etat in the Mangï state sparks Thï officials interest in the Yuzonï. Thehre X asks Wilhelm of Yuzonï to establish a friendly relationship. Explorers continue south, east, and west along the coasts. Expansion north and east continue. A large canal project connecting some of the main rivers commences, with a version of the Archimedes Screw being used. 131,176 people people are estimated to live in Thïgæ by 720.
  • Telachitul Republic: After years of tensions and trade, En'hoek finally launches his long planned attack on the northerners, sending 9,000 Telachitul troops with 3,000 tribal allies to the northerner's heartland. He hopes the decades of scouting the nation will allow for a quick attack on their center of power.
  • Mesallian Culture: The nation of Aexontia effectively became a client state after the Syresian-Erasidonian War, but this was reaffirmed after the king of Aexontia left the city of Syres as the enforcer of his will. After his death the kingdom became split between his children, but each child was under the supervision of Syresian authorities, and ultimately left their territory to Syres after their own deaths. The eldest son of the king was Olythimus, who inherited the capital of Laneba and a large share of the kingdom. The city of Nesarafen, due to its close proximity to Syres, eventually fell to a Syresian-appointed governor named Lecundus, while Besheva and Jubaya fell to two brothers of Olythimus. Additionally there was a Yannian colony centered around Xemena, which had acted nearly independent in the lead-up to the war with Erasidon. The Yannian section of the state was granted its own governor, before a revolt in the second year of the 128th Jafiad (Year 713), led to the territory being incorporated into the governorship of Nesarafen. Having been forced out of the north, the Kingdom of Erasidon turned toward steps to influence the remnants of the Xeran Empire. The kingdom sought to liberate the Mesallian cities of the coast, in what had become the Province of Neum, which would provide a major increase to its alliance. Not seeking a war against the Mouri Empire, the kingdom instead sought to make alliances with the individual local governments. In the east the Melopenes became divided between Agira and Meshwati primarily, with cities such as Lysnadria playing a major role as well. In the instability ensuing in the Yannis Empire, the Mesallian colonies made alliances with each other, fearing the possibility of Benekundon wishing to reassert control over the west. From one such colony, a mercenary leader named Lethodymus took this a step further, and under his leadership the Mesallians sought to gain control over the governorship of the westernmost Yannian province. This proved to be the action that provoked Benekundon into war, beginning a conflict in the fourth year of the 128th Jafiad (Year 715). Although outnumbered, the Mesallian army consisted of many veteran warriors, most of which were well-trained mercenaries, as well as numerous Yannians. After an initial victory near the border proved the Mesallians viable, they requested the aid of Syres, who had been an ancient enemy of Benekundon. The city launched its invasion the following year, using its newly expanded navy to reclaim the regions of Zoramvera that had been captured from them. The Kingdom of Zoramvera also would be forced into combat, protecting its relatively new kingdom against an invasion from the east. After another year of fighting the war had favored the Mesallians, but at the same time Lethodymus sought to work with the Yannian government, to ensure that they approved of his actions. It was requested that the Anointed One mediate the situation in the west, and should he not be able to, whatever constituted the highest authority in the former empire. In the meantime, the rest of his alliance seemed less eager to restrain themselves.
  • Sillan Republic: There is a schism between "Eastern" and "Western" Ulmists; due to the ruling on icons. The former is heavily influenced by Irrulmism, and favors decentralization and a renewed emphasis on orthopraxy (as opposed to orthodoxy). In contrast, the latter recognizes religious primacy of Azoz and feverently opposes any sort of devolution in terms of religious authority. In 716, all ordained females were relieved of their posts following the arrival of Azozian clerics, who sought to cleanse of the Sillan Ulmist Church of any heterodox beliefs. Within Eastern Ulmism, various sects and heterodox beliefs proliferate. Its defining beliefs and principles are collectively known as "Temple Ulmism" (as a pejorative) due to its perceived "crudeness". This coincided with a rise in the number of religious preachers (both male and female alike) who interpret the scripture (for the illiterate) and devote time (except for the seventh day, as a public holiday) to rituals and religious services. Cabeza Banzenian – a pious Ulmist – eventually breaches the separation of state and religion doctrine; denouncing Eastern Ulmism as "superstition" (as opposed to a legitimate religion). Ironically however, she continues the expansion of Banzenapolis (which, despite being the center of Western Ulmist authorities; is the most sacred site of Eastern Ulmists, who form the majority there). Meanwhile, Banzena's morality laws are criticized by many (due to them viewed as having a religious basis). Similarly, the Western Ulmists' patronization of Azozian culture is also criticized as it is generally patriarchal; and hence, viewed as inherently barbaric and incompatible with Sillan culture.

721-730

The monarch of Delahandu, Gishenatra, successfully defeats the Paotualma emperor in a second war, reaffirming the independence of Delahandu, while also releasing the Kingdom of Yonbenapur as independent under Gishenatra’s son.

Despite the official acts by the religious authorities of the Mouri Empire, in Edom and in nearby regions a more extremist sect of the Nelirites thrives. The group rejects the stance taken by the church in regards to art, believing that all icons were to be destroyed, and continues its harassment of non-Ulmians to some extent in Edom. Under the leadership of a mysterious leader named “Eminedus” the Library of Iskandria is again targeted, being razed for the multitude of artwork and icons depicted in the building, and on its books.

The Sapinakasa Empire successfully subjugates the states of the Odzeba region around the Qeran territory, before focussing their efforts on the Qeran settlements more directly, and raiding Dlacckata. Qeran spies uncover that they use a large number of cavalry and lightly armed soldiers, as well as war elephants in small numbers.

The attack launched by the Telachitul Republic against the nation of Agunda results in a narrow Telachitul defeat. The nation of Taleachitul suffers 2,130 casualties, its allies suffer 1,000 casualties, while Agunda suffers 2,070 casualties. Despite this, numerous tribes seek to support the invaders, taking the opportunity to rebel against Agunda hegemony. During this time of upheaval, traders from the nation of Malmaça make contact with Agunda, trading weapons to them in exchange for other goods.

One of the leading tribal leaders in the takeover of Niani, named Frisnalvis, leads an army into the East Yannis region, capturing the northeast most province. His soldiers also manage to gain control over the trade routes linking Yannis to the north sea, leading to an increased source of revenue, as well as a channel for settlers to arrive in the south.

  • Mouri Empire: Erisoh's son Romkwell, a lower-ranked general in the former Xeran military, was made his successor as First Citizen after his father's death. However, Romkwell proved to be a rather weak and inaffective leader, which was compounded by the official emperor at the time who was still a child according to the royal tradition. Farrajulen, the local governor of Valun, saw the weakness of this authority to begin asserting his own agenda. Also known as "Julen the short" and later "Julen the apostate", he was a decisive military leader that was able to keep the various clans and local groups of Valun organized into an effective governate, while still utilizing their cavalry-based military to his advantage. He was also not Ulmian himself, but seemed to practice a strange syncretic religion of Valunian and Mesallian polytheism, mixed with the sect of Drokksidites from Azoz. Asside from a selection of religious poems that survived from his reign, it's honestly hard to tell his exact religion due to the bias of later sources. Farrajulen preyed on the fear and disgust many nobles had for the terrorism of the Nelirites, as well as their overall disapointment for the Ulm establishment thanks to the popularity of Palto's Dialogues. For this reason, Farrajulen launched the Second Great Civil War of the empire, seeking the total destruction of the Ulm establishment and the ineffective imperial government completely. The second civil war was far more destructive than the first one, even after he gained support of his ally Nicomedie IV of Tuartha. Having exhausted themselves on their earlier wars on behalf of the Lemantarians, Usilinago was quickly conquered, and Farra pushed the rebel army against Azoz itself. A thick line of battle was held in the Battle of Menat Field, the longest non-seige battle in recorded history up to that point. The Azoz military led by General Noosents the Younger organized an impressive defensive strategy, calling in a massive military support from as far away as Fotashe and Eskaladun. Unfortunately, the Battle of Menat Field was devastating to the agricultural resources around Teman, causing the great Mouri Famine to soon follow. Some late additions to Nerath's legends tell how he laid many traps against Farrajulen before nobely sacrificing his life, but in reality the Nelirites were generally hated at this point and were often driven from cities before Julen even got there. After laying seige to Azoz for several weeks, the palace guards revolted and murdered the child emperor, then captured First Citizen Romkwell alive. He was believed to spend the rest of his days in peaceful retirement on the Uriel Islands. Contrary to exaggerated chronicles of his enemies, Julen did not outright persecute the Ulmian church, but did purge all the extremist factions from the empire as well as greatly curtail their power. He was an unparalleled, Machiavellian administrator, carefully manipulating the Mouri nobility to effectively re-absorb their provinces into the empire. Farrajulen seized the effective Crown of Xera back to Azoz, albeit under a new dynasty, thus regaining the de jure claims over the lands recently made independent. The double-faced coins disappear from this time, as all the lands in the de jure realms of Xera fully gave their recognition and tribute back to Azoz once again. During the midst of the civil war, Farrajulen reached out to an alliance with Syres, offering to lend support in their conquest of Aexontia if they agree to support his power as emperor of Mouri. Finally, Julen reached out to offer an alliance of marriage with Edom. He offered to marry the next ruler in line, Shamenza III and in exchange, both kingdoms mutually work to purge the extremist Ulmian groups in each other's lands. Most contemporary chronicles, all controlled by Ulmian monasteries, would be extremely harsh in their assessment, describing Julen as a cruel hunchback that plunged the nation into chaos and tyranny. In reality, however, the empire at this time was comparatively far more peaceful and stabilized than in previous generations, with actual law and order being enforced for the first time since the Yannian war. Many more Ulmians migrate out to preach the gospel in Emalia and Syres, and now with the confusion in Yannis, the Holy Patra sponsors a new wave of Apostles to partner with local tribal leaders in Xenulen and Niani.
  • Holy Empire of Hythus: Years 408-417 Since the Return of Hythus. Emperor Kylus working with the help of the Noble Houses begins an empire-wide census. He utilizes the imperial treasury to assist and standardize the process leading to a reasonably accurate count. [Nationwide Census] The lending institution created by Kylus, now known as the Iron Bank of Mythas, grows in power and influence, taking control of the imperial minting process and financing much of the trade in the empire. The bank begins charging low-interest rates in a break from the imperial edict which created it, but allowing it to operate independently and without support from the imperial treasury. The rise of commerce sees the empire expand its naval power, now standing at 48 ships, full 12 Triremes, 16 Trihemiolia, and 20 longships. The ships continue the new tradition of naval artillery rather than rams and most lack any ramming capability at all. A small fleet of exploratory longships with lanteen sails is built with endurance and stability as the main goals. The ships are lightly armed and have small crews, but are able to carry more food for their size. Eight of these ships will sail north and explore the area around Yrrosia, Personia, and Ry’Kyva. [Exploration] The voyage is expected to be one of many years. With the Mythadian Pantheon and Hythian Pantheon largely mixed the empire enters into a period of religious stability.
  • Qera: The recent conquest by Sapenakasa to the south is not taken lightly by Prince Zatlahe III and war is officially declared in 721. Though elephants were completely unknown alien creatures before, some archers managed to kill one of them, showing that these animals are strong but not immortal. Because of the slow nature of the elephant, tactics against them are developed quickly. For example, two heavy cavalrymen are riding at full speed parallel to each other with a rope stretched between them toward the war elephant. This will cause the elephant to fall and injure the riders heavily. If these tactics can't be used, the archer cavalrymen tear the animal down. Since mostly light infantry is used by the enemy, more shieldwalls with archery are used along with massive deployments of cavalry and heavy infantry. The swords of the army are upgraded once again, as the smaller square shaped blades at one side are replaced by two long blades, while the opposite side remains with the original "teeth". This was made to attack with the teeth and defend shieldwalls with the longer blade. Smaller metal plates are woven into the thick coconut fiber armor of the soldiers to better the protection. Tactics-wise, the hit-and-run tactics from the Odzeba conquest are used, along with the extreme brutal punishments and war atrocities that are typical for the Qeran style of warfare. Many generals, most notably Crown Prince Yzme who administered the region around Dlacckata and learned about the methods of warfare that the natives practiced. Though torture and ritualized cannibalism are nothing new to him, he is surprised about the precision these barbarians have when it comes to torture of enemies. They are able to cripple men without shedding any blood by simply pressuring sinews or breaking the joints of a man. A special method of torture is the verpornaq, where the blood of the enemy - or better to say a complete enemy village - is collected in a gigantic kettle and then boiled. The leader is then thrown into the kettle and boiled to death in the blood of his men. This happens first in the battle near Foconoa, where all captured infantrymen and some cavalrymen along with their general are captured, slaughtered and then the general boiled in their blood. Only three men are sent back to tell the story. To make sure that they can't fight, their forefingers and thumbs are cut off. Chopping off these fingers becomes a popular method of torture to spies that will be released afterward. Qeran soldiers adapt a gesture, that mocks the enemies with reference to this method with pointing the forefinger up and the thumb to the side while showing the back of the hand. This gesture will remain an insult in Qera well into the modern age. Despite the war, the jungle to the south of Qera is claimed farther west (50 px expansion). The regions west of the Hbodhver (the southern river) are densely settled now (70 px to the west are rural). Mining and spice production are still huge, while the smaller islands to the south are named now, Qerzatla after the current reigning princess.
  • Glorious Empire of Vhaynos: We continue to grow and expand our great empire utilizing the closer relations brought by the tribute brought by the Daukani and Xinaben. We continue to improve relations, warming relations and investing within damaged Daukani lands to help them rebuild them bringing them closer to our empire. We continue to expand our agricultural lands in our empire to make us richer. Trade with the north continues as well, and the city of exiles continues to expand. Seeing the destruction of the Tah by the hands of the southern people, we extend our hands to them bringing many goods to their people and establishing a trade post at the northern point of the continent. We begin to expand our eastern colonies farther with a new city being established in them. We continue to explore the southern landmass coasts utilizing our superior ships to outperform the Thïgæ at sea. Meanwhile, the island claimed by Thïgæ, is contacted and we ignore the foolish Tah claims to ownership, establishing trade deals with the native people, and offering them much better protection and access to goods. We begin to enact tolls on the Tah ships passing through our trade routes making them paying a fee to utilize any trade route, and our much stronger navy allows us to control all trade routes. These tolls are funneled to help Daukani rebuild and grow stronger, along with Jadalan. We continue to explore farther westward, and some ships are launched southwest into the sea blowing on the monsoon winds. We establish a small trading post on the desert island by a new nation. Rhythnos continues to explore farther westward trying to find the mysterious Land of Beraba.
  • Yannian Culture: After years of owning the lands of the Thotites, from the Waste River to the creature mills of Azog, from the desolate fields to the pens of beastly dwellings, from the halls of the witchcraft workshops, and the jungles where hunters come to kill the wild Thotites, the lands have been transformed for the better. However, this comes at a price, when years of dealing with that unruly mess and attempting to cleanse, it has spread some of its contamination upon the people of the Yannis Empire. The Thotite infection has caused a plague to befall the Yannians of the north, but through their piety and faith, they pray that the Thotite curse will right itself. Disease has come and harmed the Yannian population, killing thousands of innocent people. There is great anger at the Thotites, for it was their uncleanliness and sacrilege that made it prudent to punish the world with suffering, and that suffering has spread, undoubtedly unfairly, against the Yannian people as well. The plague weakens the entire region, from Azoz to the Holy City of Yagothna-vis. In the west the Yannians cannot rest, as although the evil mound of Azoz collapses, the works of Azog below have reignited. They feed on the evil energy of suffering for the purposes of supplying their creature machine. They churn out slimelings from the litter, and spread their pustule disease to kill as many people as possible. But the empire is silent, as in this time there is too much confusion and hesitation. The world has turned to let itself burn, and the Yannis Empire, which had historically held the entirety of humanity, civilization, and civility on its aching back, cannot be responsible for protecting the entire world. The Yannians watch regrettably, as people around the world suffer, wishing they had the supply to fix everyone at once. But as the world crumbles down as the Thotites had hoped, there is still a spark of decency that resists the Thotite dark magic. This is the authority that lives on the halls of east and west, where there is not lawlessness. The people flock to the strong kings who possess the means of feeding the people, and pledge to fight the plague by all means. The disease-givers are killed or quarantined, and the cities block off the world that brings forth the pestilence. Nonetheless, in the north three kingdoms appear. First there is Tesardya, where the Yannian governor triumphs, despite frequent attempts by its neighbors to siege the city. Niani falls to a foreign ruler, albeit a convert to the Yannian faith. In the east, likewise, an independent kingdom known as Mizir emerges, when the Yannian frontier is overrun. A war breaks out between Mizir and Ocenis, and the later loses possession of the northern islands, but retains control near the border.
  • Yusur Civilization: In the south of Baesel, the Book of Judges ends with an Akinite invasion of the south. A descendant of Noįmeshúmes, named Nąmuradi, would lead the city of Usqema and the Yusur people against the west, defeating the Akinites of the coast, and reaching the region of Baesel. He first encountered the Tribe of Abendum, which had come to be ruled by the judge Demod. Abendum would be subjugated by the invaders, ending the relative peace among the Nine Tribes. During the war the exiled hero of Baesel, Usnam, fought in the war as a mercenary leader, and after the war he used foreign support to reassert control over his original tribe. The descendants of Cyrecesh then expanded as far north as Niset, becoming one of the dominant nations of the region. Having exerted control over the entirety of the Uphra Delta, the city of Usqema became known as a “Holy City”, where all legitimate Yusur rulers sought to be crowned. Conversely, the city’s transgressions against the Baesel region led to the city’s name became synonymous with dissolute power and excess. The city would become the largest in the Uphra Delta, with buildings of stone and brick replacing the older, wooden structures of the settlement. Along the river system the most powerful cities of the delta constructed canals, both for irrigation and for transportation. Although these ancient canals would not exist into modern times, their locations would be approximated from numerous references to them in various writings. In certain cities the Yusur also began to employ drainage system to control and collect rainwater and waste.
  • Melia: A new age begins for us as not just a people, but a civilization. As always, we let the gods decide what we should do next. For once, two gods have come to the same conclusion of what we should do! Emal, the god of fire, war, and perfection as well as Mavel, the goddess of the earth, harvest, and expansion have decided that if we are to survive this brave new world, we must claim more land for ourselves and grow as a nation (Explore across the steppe to the northwest and southeast.). More grazing pastures will be needed for our oxen and horses. There are also rumors of other peoples like us, united under one authority, but their lands are rich with crops. These lands must be ours, too, so we must train more warriors (Train about 1,000 citizens for the army as cavalry.), for we must make sure no one can stop the coming storm.
  • Thïgæ: Miscommunication between the Ehcrumeï and Thïgæ leads to Thï officials thinking that the Ehcrumeï claimed the islands; however, when no occupation comes, Thehre X realizes that they just refuse to recognize the islands as Thï. Ties with Sonaredar continue to improve, along with ties with Johdanpanan. Exploration continues east, west, and south. Rural areas grow on the southern islands, and the mainland borders expand east and north. Contact is once again tried with the Lheceites. Administrative boundries are made across the country, with governers controling each province. The new Mangï government continues to spark interests in the west. Military technology continues to advance, along with math and science. A large canal system for irrigation and transport begins being built, with Archimedes Screw begins being used. This connects the farmland of the east to the river system of the west delta. Breeding programs commence in animals and other foods, including potatoes, which become more disease resistant.
  • Mesallian Culture: The later reign of Maleka Hesamena continued the resurgence and awakening of the Edomite nation. Having defeated the Kingdom of Ephenus in the crucial war in the east, Edom’s eastern border now extended along the coast of Sephimora toward the Ema Delta, and in the south the nation had expanded farther along the Meran. An unprecedented period of Edomite prosperity ensued, contrasting the earlier periods of instability over the last few centuries. After the destruction of the Library of Iskandria, the Maleka ordered a massive campaign against the Nelirites, slowly uprooting them from the nation. The nation struggled to completely eradicate the Nelirites fully, owing to their use of secrecy. Their efforts inadvertently hurt the Ulmian population in the nation, which was became increasingly oppressed by the government, despite the nation’s initial edicts of toleration. Ulmians were harassed for perceived involvement with their extremist counterparts, and were attacked by counter groups seeking revenge for continued acts of vandalism and violence by the Nelirites. Hesamena favored the Zamists, as the religion centered around diligence to the Maleka, and promoted the faith once more in the capital of Edom. A major temple to Zama was constructed in the city, with a large continent of royal guards stationed within it at all times, and Ulmians were removed from that district of the city. When news of the second civil war breaking out in Azoz reached Hesamena of Edom, the plan created by her advisors seemed feasible. The state would launch an invasion of the west, against the rebellious government in Usinilago, which would strip the rebels of that province, while also solving several problems for Edom; destroying the training centers of the disruptive Nelirites, bringing the Umhlaba trade routes under Edomite control, and pacifying the western border. A nobleman named Jaqnisin would be supported by Edom, as the new monarch of an independent Kingdom of Louneosas, who claimed descent from the ancient king of the same name. An army accompanied the royal claimant to the city of Usinilago directly, while the primarily Edomite army marched west toward Ajayiba. In the far south the Edomites invested heavily in the Apirun tribes of the region, creating a mercenary force to harass the southern trade routes as well. The rest of the army waited in reserve at Edom and the Meran, while the navy waited in the north as well. Although rapidly improving, the state didn’t wish to challenge the large fleet in Usinilago if it didn’t have to, so remained primarily defensive at sea. Diplomatically, the Maleka turned to Erasidon, hoping to repair the relationship between the two kingdoms, after relations had waned after the fall of the Ptelamaic rulers. To this end, the Maleka hoped Eraisdon would join the war, avenging the many times Usinilago devastated or subjugated Erasidon, as well as regaining some minor territory. The Water Merchants of the south generally supported war against their enemy in the north, although the city of Usinilago had seemingly changed considerably since that age. High Tyrant Ghis of the Umhlaba Confederacy ended the chapter of cooperation with Usinilago, as he instead favored the Edomites, who promised a better arrangement to them in exchange. The Water Merchants would experience a shift in politics not seen since the civil war centuries prior, as they discovered that a large section of their organization had integrated into Usinilago or into Xeran life. As such the war led by Edom would create a parallel conflict between sections of the Water Merchants, and their future within the region. In Syres the city formally pushed for annexation of their client kingdoms in the south, the last of which being annexed by the 131st Jafiad (Year 724). Aexontia would continue to act mostly autonomously, with Syresian governors administering various parts of the region. Elsewhere, the city found itself increasingly involved in the conflict breaking out in Benekundon. Around the same time as the Aexontia annexation, a Syresian army landed on the coast to restore order to the region.
The capital at Istaris expands greatly.
  • Telachitul Republic: Despite the setbacks in the initial phase of the war, efforts continue. The army is replenished to its full 9,000 Telachitul soldier strength, and the new discord with the tribes allows 6,000 tribal allies to join them. To solidify the numerical advantage, the Republic tries to incentivize nuetral tribes to not ally with Agunda, promising them favorable trade in the future, hoping to prevent the opposing army from increasing in size. In addition, En'hoek makes sure the superior Republic metal working industry is focused on the warm creating better weapons for both the Tealchitul soldiers and their tribal allies. Hoping to recover the advantage as much as possible, the experienced En'hoek leads the army himself, aiming straight for the Agundan heartland, using maps and intelligence gathered by Republican traders over the decades.
  • Drachenia: exploration across the portions of the seas toward the south remains while expansion across Drachenia and the Sudlands remain. Wasser sees minor expansion into the interior. The military remains stationed abroad with the establishment of barracks and storage areas for weapons. Jonnes continue to grow as the third largest city and tied for second richest with Marten rising city of Sudbestag trailing behind for fifth. It is at a moderate pace becoming recognized as the land of the rich and impossible due to its imports that it gets from all around the known world from different merchants. Cavalry within the military sees expansion.

731-740

The expedition sent by the Holy Empire of Hythus in the west leads to increased contact with several nations. The nations of Personia and Eniyan offer to trade with the nation, while in the far west they discover that those nations are situated on an island.

The Qeran counterattack against the Sapinakasa Empire results in some mixed results. Initially the Sapinakasa successfully raid up to the northern mountains, killing numerous Qeran and native civilians. In a battle led by Crown Prince Yzme, the Qerans achieve a narrow victory, inflicting 5,800 casualties, while the Qerans suffer 4,900 casualties. As a result the Sapinakasa offer a peace agreement to the Qerans, in which they will recognize Qera’s claimed territory, and cease attacks against it, if Qera recognizes their territory and their ownership over the other states and tribes of the region.

A rival tribe leader, known as Gecnevedessar, destroys the Vytian trade post established on the southern continent, despite other natives of the region initially favoring trade with the nation of Vhaynos.

Plague sweeps through the region from Azoz and the Mouri Empire to the states of the Yannis Empire, as well as the nations west of the Yannis region; Benekundon, Zedisladana, and Molaga.

In a second battle against Agunda, the Telachitul Republic achieves victory. The Telachitul Republic suffers 1,890 casualties, its allies suffer 1,400 casualties, Agunda suffers 3,400 casualties, and Agunda’s tribal allies suffer 2,300 casualties.

  • Friorian Culture: Expansion is made as society is further developed. The basic movements toward centralization are made.
  • Mouri Empire: Emperor Farrajulen and Maleka Hesamena were married in a grand ceremony in the newly-constructed Zama Temple of Edom. Being the first non-Ulmian royal marriage in centuries, it is also poorly attested in Azouri sources, with the Medan Chronicle only passively mentioning the marriage took place. Instead, the details of the marriage's logistics are heavily-attested among Edomite sources, whose nobility at the time were still dominated by the Zamists. Although this was clearly arranged for political purposes, it became fruitful rather quickly, with their first daughter Arenia born that same year. Farrajulen would take a rather unprecedented turn with his royal house, officially sharing the Crown of Farra between himself and his wife evenly, rather than declaring her a queen consort as in the Xera tradition. Their joint rule would see the final destruction of the Nelirites completely, as well as the "Xenulen Plague" that swept through northern Usilinago and eastern Tuartha around 615 AR. This plague was seen as the lowest point of fracturization in the Mouri empire before the Farran restoration. In fact, archaeology of this time indicates that the many rituals of the Zamist cult added a feature to honor the Cult of Death, around the same time the plague took place. After that event was passed, however, things began to steadily recover. The Library of Iskandaria began a long process of reconstruction, restoring all the books carefully copied to nearby Monestaries around the Lower Meran. Due to his natural affinity toward Edom and his wife, some later historians specualted if Julen was actual Zamist himself, but an exact answer to this question of his religion may never be completely answered. Julen wished primarily to restore order and prestigue to the empire, and wasn't parituclarly partial to one religion over any other for that purpose. His own authored text known as the "Hymns to the Sun" around this time is most enigmatic, giving some lauding to deities of both Valun, Mesallian, and Edomite nature, unless these are all the same beings translated in different languages. Julen's children he would insist on having the greatest education in the empire, and had them alternatively study in both the Library of Azoz and Iskandaria at different points in their lives. Their main tutor, the theologian Philo of Medan, was a very prominent philospher at this time. He wrote extensively on commentaries, for both the works of Gandai and Palto, particularly on the divine nature of rationality. He also was an avid engineer, and worked to incorporate finely-tuned gears into the overall design of the so-called "Archelon's Calculator". Julen also made many important reforms to the military, adding in horse archers to the standard armies of Edom for the first time in their history, coming from a nomadic background of the Valunians. The navy also was greatly increased, about 2/3 the size of the old Xeran navy by the end of the decade, utilizing the same old ports of Neum and Nerimos as in ancient times. Ulmian apostles continue to be sent as far away as Otan, Leukimia, and Niani.
  • Melia: Our recent expeditions across the steppe have proven insightful. Our realm and the holy lake that it lies upon seem to lie on the northern edge of the great plains we call our home. We spotted quite a few hills and even a couple lone mountains to our north, and beyond that, a lush wet, and exotic land covered with trees as far as the eye could see. Lem has told us that we are not ready to go into such a land when there is more plains to claim for him. Thus our future expeditions should be focused south (Explore along the steppe farther, focusing on the south.). Lem has also told us to claim the land surrounding his lake. No one else may lay their hand on such a hallowed place except him, his fellow gods, and his people (Focus expansion efforts on claiming the land around the lake.). We have also finished training our new cavalry unit, but we mustn’t rely on them completely. Emal has said that we need a diverse army of many kinds of warriors and that the foreigners that came so long ago in search of our silk can be put into use. Many serfs that serve us should also be put into use (Train 1,000 Foreigners and 1,000 serfs from across the land into an infantry unit). Rumors remain strong of peoples with cities like our own. They are said to be wealthy, more so than we could ever dream of. Our only form of income is from taxes on the silk trade with the other tribes that the foreigners come from. Here’s hoping that we thrive as a nation.
  • Holy Empire of Hythus: Years 418-427 Since the Return of Hythus. Emperor Kylus, by now an aging monarch, raises his son Lyarsan to co-emperor. The Iron Bank of Mythas expands overseas, offering loans abroad, but demanding strict repayment. The rise of commerce sees the empire expand its naval power, now standing at a moderate fleet of some 60 ships, full 16 Triremes, 20 Trihemiolia, and 24 longships. The ships continue the new tradition of naval artillery rather than rams and most lack any ramming capability at all. The fleet of exploratory longships continue to explore, this time even farther north beyond Ry’Kyva. [Exploration Response] These ships also carry a message accepting trade agreements with Personia and Eniyan which they deliver while passing by on their new voyage north. Agricultural production increases due to the expansion of farmlands and the use of human, bovine, and equestrian excrement to enrich the already fertile volcanic soil. More canals and tythoruses are constructed for irrigation. Crop-rotation strategies become firmly entrenched and are effectively universal. The population grows immensely due to increased wealth and nutrition.
  • Mesallian Culture: The Edomite invasion proved favorable among the natives of Leosas, as in the absence of a strong central, Azozian authority, and having been negatively affected by the recent decades of Azozian rule, they favored the return to an independent government. The city of Usinilago had retained its fierce spirit of independence, remaining ethnically Louneosasian and largely held to their traditional beliefs, despite the rise of the Ulmian religion and other religions from nearby areas. The entrance of Jaqnisin was accepted, after the governor of Usinilago was defeated in a decisive battle near the city. There he fully embraced the Louneosas culture, ordering a restoration to the old customs of the independent kingdom. This would largely not be possible, due to the changing nature of the region in the past several centuries, but under the king’s leadership, and with support from Edom, there was a resurgence in traditional beliefs. Chief among the gods of the old inhabitants of Usinilago, Varin war promoted greatly by the new king. Despite its historical staunch resistance to influences from Mesallas and elsewhere, the past few centuries had opened the door for Mesallian and Edomite influences, and Jaqnisin was quick to adopt deities such as Zama and Soronis, and a mixture of Mesallian and Edomite customs within the original framework of the religion. After the Edomite invasion was complete, the rise of Farrajulen had occurred in the west. Eager to cement the position of Edom and its conquests, Hesamena agreed to the proposal to wed the new monarch in Azoz to her daughter Shameza. The nation of Edom prospered greatly after the war, and through cooperation with the west. Road networks were created in the far north along the coast, to connect the city of Edom with nearby cities. The Maleka would institute the creation of supply depots to store grain, having reformed the nation’s taxation system and bureaucracy to be much more efficient. However, this new cooperation also allowed for the western plague to reach Edom. Soldiers returning from the war fell ill with the disease, which quickly affected the rest of the nation. This would end Edom’s golden age, weakening the nation once more. Hesamena’s daughter Shameza would die soon after her granddaughter was born, as well as numerous other members of the royal court. Then in the second year of the 133rd Jafiad (Year 733), Maleka Hesamena died of old age, and the court proclaimed her second daughter, Nesalama, as the new Maleka. She would spend the next several years working to help the nation recover. Meanwhile, the nation of Syres accepted the alliance offer from the Mouri Empire. The region of Aexontia had been fully incorporated into the nation, while in the east the nation had successfully defended against Benekundon. Their demands stipulated that Benekundon cede small territorial concessions to Syres or to the Mesallian city-states, as well as grant various cities increased autonomy. The Kingdom of Zoramvera became aligned with Syres, using the war to expand its own territory and influence. At its greatest territorial extent, the nation managed to conquer farther west along the coast, while north through Benekundon’s mountains into the interior.

Tsardom of Algeorgia: Tsar Konstantin I dies this year at the age of 101. The tsar is grieved by the entire country and a mighty mausoleum is planned being built to honor his memory. He is succeeded By his son Konstantin II. The new Tsar makes the annual pilgrimage to the Holy Dodo and receives its blessing.

  • Glorious Empire of Vhaynos: The brutality of the Gecnevedessar comes to us as we are shocked that they would commit such atrocities, we come to call the land Kerīlam, place of brutality. We rebuild our fort but garrison it with around 1,000 troops ready for any attack while continuing our trade. We claim all of Kerīlam under our protection and guardianship and any other settlement by outside nations shall be considered an act of war against us. We also negotiate the annexation and claim the western islands of Kerīlam to be our nation's territory annexing them into our empire as well as finding deals with natives. We found a new colony farther to the west in the jungle area south of our island trade post. The eastern colonies are expanded as well with towns and agricultural lands popping up. We continue to explore farther to the west and east, and explore the coasts of the Southern landmass as well. In the city of exiles we explore north and west. Our agricultural land expands and Jadalan continues to become more loyal with over 60% of the nation's population identifying as Vhaynosi. Many in them begin to clamber for annexation.
  • Yuzoni Empire: The military is going under construction, as the weapons are still being created of many materiels. Meanwhile, 60 people were drafted out of the military to expand the empire by sending one-half of the men up north and one-half of the men east. The expansion is considered to be the great expansion, and will create a larger influence over said explored areas. The emperor orders the expansion to be enacted, and all 30 men from each group are sent to explore north and west. Meanwhile, the emperor also wants to create another important naval base for more naval construction to start naval expansions from the south. Trail connections will be built to construct cities in between each other, and provide easier travels. Horses in Yuzonia are being breeded and tamed for travelling to be much easier. The emperor integrates a new position, namely the Jushi Mollotov. This point will be the messenger and the Co-Emperor. The spot goes to Jojan Mollotov, who became Jojan I of Yuzonia. She is a messenger of the empire, as well as a long supporter of the emperor. She would later on marry the Emperor in Year 733, and have three kids. The kids were raised to become brave and bold like their birthers, and would be supported by many locals. The kids would have many social friends in their life, as well as become the Emperor's Favorites. The oldest son was Bolo Mollotov, and the youngest was Johk Mollotov. Both were considered famous by many locals, and people usually became friends with them because of their position and their socializing skills. Meanwhile, the expansion continues, but with horse travel instead of foot travel. This makes expansion easier because of tired feet being the main cause of expansion stops. However, they will stop to let the horses rest and continue to expand the empire.
  • Qera: The proposal by the enemy is answered, telling the peace will be certain. The Qerans agree on no changes in borders, but demand that no Sapenakasan soldier will cross the border and the empire will pay reparations to Qera, while Qera lowers the tariffs on goods from Sapenakasa (MOD RESPONSE, PLEASE). The population rises again due to the good food supply and the good hygienic situation. The average women is estimated to have about six or seven children as many men died in the recent wars. Many cities expand, especially Dlaccaka, Imbalama and Ogaholle. The colony Cyrphetzija solidifies further, when the region continues to have a babyboom (solidify 20 px inland). Fertilizers are now upgraded as the farmers discover that leaving the feces of the plowing oxen and horses on the field. Sometimes the feces are collected and then put over the seedling to let it grow better. Traders from Malmaça come to Qera and vice versa. The spice trade expands south, cinnamon, anise, black pepper and nutmeg enter the markets of the newly discovered nation. Zatlahe III dies in 732, she is succeeded by her son Yzme I. He expands the military further and expands the navy to defend the Qerzatlahe. A major settlement is founded on the most northern island, called Rhamcerta. It's located on the most northern island which is called Rhamcqer (the big northwestern island). Metal production and spice trade flourish.
  • Taivaie: Further diplomatic expansion is attempted, accompanied by threats of mass invasion and slaughter, in every direction. Manufacturing and woodworking become more common. The population continues to grow quickly because of the massive food supply, and trade grows with the city-state. Sailors from the city-state are hired to chart the coasts.
  • Yannian Culture: After the nation of the Yannis Empire fell into chaos, and the Thotite plague devastated the nation, the split between east and west became seemingly more permanent. No one ruler could claim supremacy over all of Yannis and the world, but only a component of the former empire. Next the Yannian colony of the west declared its independence, having broken off contact with most of the rest of the empire. Likewise in the south the island of Bangor unified into one independent nation. A Yannian convert of Bangorite descendant, named Acymezec, would lead this push, warring with the Yannians and natives of the island alike. In the Far East the nation of Tohatia invaded the occupied region taken from Exhula, and Tohatia reached its zenith. A king named Xeclet’socul would lead this war, bringing the nation to its greatest territorial extent thus far. The islands of Irrosia declared their independence under one of its Yannian governors, as did the island of Atnosia.
  • Telachitul Republic: Hoping to build on the success of recent times, the army is replenished to its full 9,000 Telachitul soldier strength, and the new discord with the tribes allows 6,000 tribal allies to join them.
The capital at Istaris expands greatly. In the south the Darnan city-state unites with the former Yannian colony, creating a new nation known as Agelmur, after the deity of the southern mountains. The Zelonuma Emiresq expands southward along the coast, expanding its reach over places for slaves and mining.
  • Sillan Republic: In 738, Cabeza Banzenion dies under mysterious circumstances. The subsequent withdrawal of government support for Western Ulmism (and its campaign against heterodoxy) leads to anxiety within the Western Ulmist clergy. The arrival of a deeply-conservative Azouri cleric by the name of Cassander emboldens Western Ulmist reactionaries, who proclaim the establishment of the "Kingdom of Nelrim on Earth"; ousting the local military garrison and expelling Eastern Ulmists (who are deemed as heretics, and thus betrayers of the Ulmist faith). This event, referred to as the "Storming of Banzenopolis" marks the start of the "West Revolt". The insurgents exploit the political turmoil following the death of the Cabeza (as she has not nominated an heir), and rapidly occupy the Olmec region as well as the southern Hanila province. The sheer rapidity of the conquests forced the Imperial Court to relocate numerous times – first to Magaqī, and then farther north to Qīzan. However, Silas and the surrounding country-side remains under tenuous Sillan control; with massive fortifications being constructed in hopes of the deterring the enemy from crushing the heart of the Republic. A minor official by the name of Migasera is sworn into office. While she is generally well-received, she is more modest military leader – relying on the insight of the legionary commanders (whose doctrines and tactics often differ; thus impairing the military's ability to address the insurgency). Emboldened by the rumored "ineptness" of the new Cabeza, the Western Ulmists besiege Silas. However, in 739, toward the end of the Siege of Silas, the Cabeza receives an itinerant preacher who claims to have received numerous visions as well as being visited by angels since a young age, who identify her as be the Messiah prophesied in the Revelations, as well as instructing her to relieve Silla of the insurgents. Despite being initially ridiculed, her request for control over ten legions (~100,000) was agreed to, after accepting a taunt in which she was to prove her claims through shooting an arrow through an apple mid-air from a distance of 250 yards. Despite this, only one legionary commander (the later Saint Jieyazē, the Seventh Apostle) agreed to supply troops (under the condition of joint control). After just five days, she lifts the Siege of Silas and successfully suppresses the rebellion; a feat for which she is awarded with numerous properties and noble titles (though in later tradition, it is claimed that she rejected all of them to maintain her modesty). Cassander is deported, and Sillan elements of the revolt is sentenced to death via hanging (but they are pardoned by the intervention of Cixia. To celebrate the peace, she organizes a feast in Banzenopolis which was attended by the thousands, and delivers numerous sermons in the Grand Basilica (after which she also distributes the later Corporeal Books, which she has authored and claims to have been divinely-inspired). Due to this, the Western Ulmist clergy accuses her of promoting heretical beliefs – most prominently, the belief that she is the Messiah (or the "Anointed One") in addition to her heterodox interpretations of the Ulmist Scripture. She was seized by Western Ulmist clerics and was kept in starvation for 40 days (yet she was noted to be perfectly healthy). After evading the questions during interrogation and refusing to renounce her beliefs, she was tortured and under the dual charge of heresy and cross-dressing (as she continued to wear military attire while in prison, to deter any chances of rape), was sentenced to death via burning at the stake. The execution of Cixia (which was denounced as having no basis by secular authorities) was seen by many spectators, who were noted to have clashed with the clerics (who hired private guards as to prevent her followers from interfering). Her charred body was then publicly displayed, before being burnt three more times – thus reducing her to ashes. However, following three days and two nights, she was resurrected; appearing before her disciples and instructing them to meet in the Grand Basilica, where she delivers a final sermon and orders the Grand Commission (instructing her followers to spread the faith) before ascending to the spiritual realm; an event that was allegedly viewed by thousands in Banzenopolis and its vicinity. Following her death and her alleged resurrection, the Seven Apostles embark on their own individual ministries in which they distribute copies of the Ulmist Scripture in addition to the Corporeal Books. Despite the rapid growth of this sect, it endures harsh criticism by Ulmist clerics, who equate it as a personality cult (and thus an impermissible form of idolatry) and regard her as a false claimant to the title of the "Anointed One", as the events that have unfolded during the Revolt only loosely resembles that of the events prophesied in the Revelations.

Drachenia: Sudbestung becomes more of a popular area of trade due to its much more rich resources are imported there and distributed across the ever so expanding nation. Our Naval Fleets see expansion of galleys and transport ships while over land, training and recruitment remain as an honorable act. Alfons falls ill and soon it will be time for his only son to take charge. The House of Altenhofen prepares for the death of the konig. Exploration across the west continues in the south while exploration east is made in the north and expansion across the sudlands and the continent of Drachenia remains. New towns such as lud and Dinzee prosper as a result of many merchants establishing their properties there.

741-750

Having been already weakened by the successful Syresian-Mesallian invasion, the nation of Benekundon is invaded from the north by a Molagan dynasty known as the Orunamids. Under their leadership they unite the regions of Benekundon, Zedisladana, and Molaga.

The nation of Melia, while exploring to the south across the steppe, discovers the nations of the Friorian Culture.

The city of Tesardya launches a war against the nation of Mosnola, successfully annexing the city. As a result, Tesardya expands its border south to Molaga, while gaining control over the mountains north of the Yannis region.

The Sapenakasa Empire accepts the offer from the Qerans. They also begin settling the region south of the border, and raiding farther to the east and west.

The invasion of Agunda by the Telachitul Republic results in a Telachitul victory. The Telachitul Republic suffers 1,050 casualties, it allies suffer 1,300 casualties, and Agunda and its allies suffers 4,900 casualties. As a result the nation of Agunda sues of peace with the Telachitul Republic, offering to relinquish control over its vassals.

While exploring the continent to the south, the Glorious Empire of Vhaynos makes contact with the city-state of Misesham, who offers to trade with the Vytian explorers.

  • Mouri Empire: The nation greatly improves its foreign influence with the power vacuum caused by the fall of Yannis. A new eastern fleet is initially completed by Emperor Farrajulen, which moves east to reignite the eastward trade routes to the spice lands of Qera and Sillas. The admiral Apenderix sent an expedition through the eastern straits down on a diplomatic mission to the states of Sillas, Qera and Exhula, bringing many apostles and prominent theologians with them. On the return trip he stopped by the regions of Phorintheon and Obtus, helping to rebuild their own faiths and religions after the retreat of Yannis, and re-affirming their alliance with Azoz. With diplomacy in the nations of Qera and Sillas, we offer to sell our minerals of copper and alumite in exchange with buying their beans and spices. With the nation's internal economy and administration fully recovered from the earlier dark era, the new generation began seeing a fast expansion across the Gabatrian Sea in both trade and diplomacy. A large initiative from the Holy Patra sponsors many apostles and government msisions to spread Ulm to the tribes breaking off from Yannis in the north, particularly Xenulen and Niani. The far western trade that had been exploed by Horation was largely ignored, as investors began pushing back toward the west once again. Horse archers have been largely incorporated as standard in the military. Meanwhile, with our alliance to Syres, Farrajulen offers in a secret diplomacy to help Syres completely conquer the rest of the Mesallian peninsula, ultimately spliting the region in one-half: Azoz will annex the nation of Erasidon and various kingdoms connected to it, while Syres takes the coastlines and the nations that make up the northern one-half of the peninsula. Farrajulen decided he could press a claim to the throne of Edom by his wife, the eldest daughter of the realm. But instead, he decided it was more profitable to maintain a strong alliance with Edom, and supported the queen in her position. He sent a lot of support and investment for Edom to greatly expand and rebuild the Library of Iskandaria, far larger and more modern than it was before. He also sponsored the creation and expansion of their navy from Nerimos, complementing the navy in Neum to make effectively reconstruct the Xeran's former domination of the Gabatrian Sea.
    • Qeran Dip: The Qerans welcome the Moreâtl, as the Qerans call them, with open arms. The court is highly interested in permanent diplomatic relations and sends and envoy of diplomats to their capital.
  • Melia: The rumors have been confirmed true, we have found another realm like ours, with people similar to some of the foreigners among us. However, we are unsure of what to do with this. Emal, our god of fire says to move against them and raid their lands. Mavel, the goddess of the earth and ferility says that we should try to make friendly contact and trade our oils with them. The other gods pick a side, but Lem, the greatest god of all, has not yet decided on a course of action. Of course, since he is the supreme deity, his word is above all. Lem leans toward invading them as they hold steppe lands that should be rightfully his, but he is unsure if that is the best course of action. In the meantime, we have also discovered another exotic landscape, but it is essentially the opposite of the lush treeland to our north, rather it is barren and hot, with sand replacing grass as the earth. Lake Lem is also now under our complete control, so we must focus on expanding outward. Expansion efforts are made to the south toward the many smaller lakes and this new realm. We must continue to build our army, as much of the steppe remains to be consolidated under our divine rule. (Train another 500 citizens into the cavalry unit and 500 each of foreigners and serfs into the infantry.) We also need more money, as the small oil trade and the donations to the temple will sustain us for only so long. We still await the response of the new realm (RESPONSE FROM SOLACE NEEDED) so we may decide whether to trade, or raid.
    • Response to the Friorian Culture: It appears they are called the "Friorians". Many of the tribes we first came across are nomadic, just as we are. They seem like a hardy people and we would be glad to trade with them. The city dwellers on the other hand, have refused to trade with us! Despicable! Lem and Emal agree that they are disrespecting us and must be subdued. Perhaps we could convince the nomads to join us and go against the city-states. After all, some of their people live among us, and we treat them good. Our expansion efforts are still made to the south. And our army is moved there as well.
  • Friorian Culture: After contact with Melia is made, many of the tribal societies begin establishing themselves as nomadic states along the river to show strength yet no military conflict is initiated. Many of the nomadic states accept Melia's offer of trade, with only a few small city-states disagreeing for the time being. Heavy expansion is made during this area, specifically southward as the Friorian Culture begins further encasing the numerous tribes in the region. The first major nation emerges in the Culture group, known as the Hattuzitite Dynasty.
  • Ardubja: The republic prepares to explore once again after 50 years of only internal trading to expand outside of the Adrobi Desert. They explore east along the river while start to introduce a currency, the Shaibel. We try to also urbanize along the river.
  • Holy Empire of Hythus: Years 428-437 Since the Return of Hythus. Emperor Kylus falls ill with fever, dying in the 429th year since Hythus’ return. Emperor Lyarsan assumes his father’s seat the imperial palace in Mythas is expanded with a new reception hall, a feasting hall, and new administrative buildings. The Iron Bank of Mythas expands overseas, offering loans abroad, but demanding strict repayment. The rise of commerce sees the empire expand its naval power, now standing at a moderate fleet of some 70 ships, full 20 Triremes, 26 Trihemiolia, and 24 longships. The ships continue the new tradition of naval artillery rather than rams and most lack any ramming capability at all. The fleet of exploratory longships continue to explore, this time they head south, beyond Qaryaat and the Bereban Peninsula. [Exploration Response] The skirmishes against the Halati in the mountains expand into full-on war. The Noble House of Tykatus beseeches the emperor assist them after a series of devastating raids on their land. The emperor agrees, raising a force of 12,000 infantry and archers from across the empire. These men are drawn largely from mountainous regions throughout the nation. [Warfare Response] Agricultural production increases due to the expansion of farmlands, the use of human, bovine, and equestrian excrement to enrich the already fertile volcanic soil. More canals and tythoruses are constructed for irrigation. Crop-rotation strategies become firmly entrenched and are effectively universal. The population grows immensely due to increased wealth and nutrition.
  • Yannian Culture: The Yannians are further enraged by the Thotites, as in time of weakness they appear like vultures, to prey on the innocent. Just when people need help, the Thotites attempt to abuse people, by sending their agents to places that they do not belong. It is asked, can no one ever be safe? Can no one ever not be constantly harassed by them? As such the nation of Ocenis, in command of what was once the Yannian eastern fleet, gains control over the straits and destroys every Thotite ship that is discovered. If they want access they will need to pay a hefty tax each year like the infidels they are, and stop harassing every nation they come across. The kingdom founded by Acymezec expels the Thotite salesmen, as his kingdom has no place for charlatans. He purges them from Obtus completely, declaring that the city will be closed off, since tricksters favor it for some reason. The people of Yagothna-vis decide that they must take action, so it is said that if the Thotites do not stop trying to take over and destroy every single culture they can utterly imagine, they will be stopped. The city has always been tolerant of every race of people, and has helped the free nations of the world, and they are tired of Thot bullying every single person in the entire world. It is time to stop, quoth the world. The free peoples declare it in sacred vow, that the Thotites need to stop. They barely possess a coast anymore, so it will not be hard to close said coast. The ships of a million nations can easily cast aside the makeshift play things of the Thotites, sail to Azoz, and expunge the sludge of Thot. But in all this distraction the Yannians missed the Orunamids as they invaded the south. Intending to conquer all of the regions of their culture and historical homeland, the Orunamids then turned on the westernmost province of the Yannians, and so a war broke out between the two. Both the western empire and the Kingdom of Tesardya find a common enemy, and engage with the Orunamids near the mountains. The Yannians similarly seek to make alliances with the Mesallian cities and with Erasidon. They are promised many new colonies and territories on the western coast, and together the region will be converted to a proper faith.

Tsardom of Algeorgia: Tsar Konstantin II makes a huge announcement when he establishes the police force of Algeorgia. The police will make sure that the laws of Algeorgia are followed, and if not, then the High Court of Algeorgia. The highest sentence is life in prison or in rare circumstances after the tsar has held the final verdict: the death penalty. The high court of Algeorgia will be located in the Dodoceum (OTL Colosseum). The public is allowed to attend the trial unless the tsar wishes for them not to attend.

  • Telachitul Republic: After the victory, En'hoek again rebuilds his army to 9,000 Telachitul soldiers and 6,000 allied tribes troops, but instead of attacking he decides to negotiate. He offers to end the war, provided Agunda cedes their vassals the the Republic, pays the republic annual reparations for the next 30 years, and agrees not to expand indefinitely, with the opportunity to renegotiate the last point after 80 years.
  • Mesallian Culture: The story of the renewed Kingdom of Louneosas is mixed depending on the source. In the Gudumanes the Mesallians were weary of the kingdom, which had for centuries warred against them and conquered their lands. This alone was enough to compel the Kingdom of Erasidon to accept an alliance with the nation of Edom. Likewise the majority of Azozian sources despised the kingdom, seemingly created for the purpose of driving a wedge further into the Mouri Empire. One exception to this would be a Mesallian-Azozian writer named Vano, who sought to build a school in the city to replace the one that had fallen in Iskandria. His library be modest in his lifetime, but eventually become an important place for discussion and research. Vano’s specialty, however, would be the sea, as he had been a sailor in his early life. His school slowly expanded along the northern harbor, where he taught shipbuilding, maritime trade, and naval warfare. After his death, the school of Vano would continue to grow, until it became one of the primary shipbuilders in the entire ancient world. Its arsenal would build a fleet for the city of Usinilago, and later the empires that came after. Vano’s personal dream was to sponsor great expeditions of exploration and trade, and in his final days he ordered expeditions far to the north, through the Straits of Syres, north around the Aurealian peninsula, and south along the eastern coast. Although he would not live to see the outcome of such endeavors, later generations would reap the benefits of his quest for new lands. Using this knowledge of the seas, Louneosasians would also establish a number of colonies in the far north. One of the largest settlements, and also one of the farthest away, would be the city of Ysthiphon. This settlement would be founded by a former pirate of the Gabatrian, named Joroha’asdur, who managed to use his skill at illicit activity to attract a plethora of Darnan pirates and slavers to his outpost. In this new land he discovered a great number of Darnans already active, but the largest group present would be the natives who were constantly plagued by the slavers. Joroha’asdur would successfully negotiate the end to slaving along that coast, and would fight with those who refused his offer. The natives would be transformed by veterans of the southern wars, adopting customs and tactics of a soldier of Mouri or Mesallas. Eventually the settlement prospered, with Darnan slavers choosing to use the port as a base rather than as an enemy, with many immigrating there as well during times of turmoil in the Zelonuma Emiresq. The city would not forget its maritime origins, even as it developed into a territorial kingdom in future generations, and the city would operate a vast fleet of its own. In Louneosas itself, the policies of Jaqnisin proved largely indecisive, but own its own the nation and its advisors generally guided the nation toward steady growth and prosperity. The king would continue his policy of allying with Edom, fearing retribution once any number of states returned to stability, and he choose to be wed to an Edomite royal soon after his ascension. Despite the hard line rejection of Usinilago by mainstream Water Merchants, one perspective water tyrant, Hishle’meles, who came from humble origins in the Land of Or, arrived in the city. According to legend he successfully tricked and talked his way to audiences with the elite of the city. Claiming to be a king of enormous wealth and prestige, Hishle’meles was allowed enormous reach by the king, and he would slowly build his trade empire in the city. In the south the power of the Water Merchants had been divided, as the creation of Louneosas effectively split Umhlaba in one-half. The official one-half of Umhlaba remained in Azoz, and on account of Usinilago seceding, they effectively became a new territory as the Province of Umhlaba, with its largest city being Agamenus. Having lost most of its ports to Louneosas, the province became increasingly interested in the settling of a new city on the coast near the western edge of the sea. The largest settlement would form on a small inlet near the border, known as Thalutia, becoming an important port for the province. Meanwhile, in the north the Mesallian colonies allied with the Yannians, fighting the invading Orunamids for control over the coast. Mesallians would ultimately gain over the northeastern river in Zoramvera, where eventually the important city of Diathemis would be founded. The original site of the city would be sacked by the northerners, and only became a major city far after the war. Ultimately only the Kingdom of Zoramvera would prosper during the war, after nearly being brought to the brink of collapse during the first few years of the war. The first peace would be agreed upon in the fourth year of the 136th Jafiad (Year 747), which ceded Yannian territory to the invaders, but ensured that the Mesallian colonies and the region near Zoramvera was recognized as independent. The nation of Syres would take interest in the war but not directly join. They would reject the offer from the Mouri Empire, as it seemed vastly impractical and wicked. Instead the nation took interest in Bascula, with Syresians increasingly finding settlement and work among the confederacy. A rebellion would be launched by one of the king’s sons, Xevectulus, who sought to repulse the encroaching Syresians, but the city’s retaliation would lead to his capture.
  • Empire of Grosserdrachenia: The nation now under the rule of Halifacs is renamed to Grosserdrachenia after large conquests being made. As birth rates still remain on the rise, so does the development and urbanization of the nation with more roads, streets, and businesses. As new lands are discovered, so do our trading partners. As a result, we are able to gain more goods and so our nation prospers. Expansion across Drachenia continues while more settlements are made. Expansion in the Sudlan remains while new institutions such as the Sudbestang Library. Exploration acorss the South continues west and in the north, eastward exploration is made.
  • Thïgæ: Gecnevedessar's attacks on Ehcrumeï settlements in the south leads Thïgæ to start allying with Gecnevedessar. The southernmost islands are used to trade with them, usually for state of the art weapons. We offer vassalization of Gecnevedessar's tribal lands to protect them from the Ehcrumeï, with tales of salughter of their own people and the Benï in the past told to the south. This would not be directly claiming land on the continent, therefore avoiding war with the Ehcrumeï. Thïgæ also refuses to recognize the claim on the northern tip of the continent, and trading deals with natives in the area are made independent of the Ehcrumeï. Groups hostile to the Ehcrumeï are traded with, giving them state of the art weapons. Some even come to study the art of war in the capital, although this is a rare case. Yuzon (Yuzonia), Sonaredar, and the Gecnevedï (tribes under Gecnevedessar) are asked to join an alliance with Thïgæ to protect members' goals and make sure the Ehrumeï (Vhaynos) cannot attack the pact. Secret: Daukanï rebels are funded, and are offered membership in the pact if they rebel if a war occurs between the Ehcrumeï and the Thï. They will gain Ehcrumeï lands and islands near them. Also, the expansionist Yuzon (Yuzonia) is offered lands from Xinaben north of their northermost river if war does come and Yuzon joins the pact. Xinabenï rebels are also contacted, and reparations for the land to be lost to Yuzon will be replaced by lands north of the northernmost Ehcrumeï river. Ghatnura rebels are contacted as well, promising their land back. Separately, Dvama is also offered Ehcrumeï lands in the south if they join us, although they are not told about the coalition as they may try to expose the coalition's plans. End Secret. Deforestation continues in the east, clearing land. The irrigation cannals continue being built in the east, further increasing agricultural production. A northern branch of the canal is built to help northern farmers. Kelp, cotton, and banana farming become large industries on the southern islands. Expansion continues east and north, and exploration continues east, west, and south. More to come if time.
  • Sillan Republic: The Cabeza issues the "Edict of Toleration", which affirms the separation of state and church doctrine. Furthermore, she exiles the leaders of the Western Revolt and begins a systematic purge of radical Western Ulmist elements; thus ensuring the Church is left under the control of moderate officials. Meanwhile, within the Eastern Ulmists, numerous heterodox sects emerge as a consequence of a lack of a centralized religious authority. In order to prevent religious strife, the inhabitants of Banzenopolis is segregated into three quarters (corresponding to Western and Eastern Ulmists, as well as non-Ulmists). The Grand Basilica is declared open to all Ulmist worshippers and is placed under joint-control between the government and the Western Ulmist clergy. Meanwhile, Apostles Xiumanzī and Lisazī co-author the Gospel of Cixi, detailing the life of Cixi – revered as the Messiah (the "Anointed One"), as well as the "Daughter of God" in the Cixite sect of Eastern Ulmism. The Gospel of Cixi quickly becomes an integral part of the Cixite canon along with the Corporeal Books, which collectively form an informal "Third Testament" (while the Western Ulmist scripture is known as the "First Testament", while the Eastern Ulmist additions are known as the "Second Testament"). The Apostle Lisazī also authors her eponymic Analects, whose contents consist of a series of dialogues between her and Cixi. In addition, she also allegedly authors the Analects of Jiexī, and the Analects of Jiaspuer (the parents of Cixi); which similarly, recounts a series of dialogues between them and their daughter prior to her ministry. Due to the attractive doctrine of Cixite Ulmism attracting thousands of converts, as well as its discouragement of abortion, infanticide, and divorce resulting in a higher level of natural growth, the sect undergoes rapid growth and expansion – with its adherents dispersing all across Silla. Despite this, it remains largely an underground sect concentrated within the more cosmopolitan and tolerant urban areas, with the total sum of its followers constituting only roughly just under ~0.2% of the total population. However, the absorption of gentile converts (in addition to those of Ulmist faith) proves divisive within the Cixites. While Apostles Caqiena and Lisazī initially advocate for the observance of Ulmist law (alongside Cixian teachings), these requirements were dropped when Apostle Andriazo – in a letter addressed to both – cites passages within the Corporeal Books stating otherwise. This revelation leads the Seven Apostles to rule that only three requirements are required for admission into the Cixite faith: baptism (which is to be conferred by a Priestess), an oath of fidelity, and the profession of faith. While this ruling facilitates the sect's growth, it also creates animosity with more orthodox Ulmist sects – with Ulmist clerics asserting that Cixite Ulmism is simply a personality cult centering a false messiah claimant; thus constituting an impermissible form of idolatry and being incompatible with Nelrimic principles. Meanwhile, crop-rotation is promoted by the government to further augment the nation's agricultural output (thus facilitating recovery from the Western Revolt; especially within the southern provinces). The year is split into three growing seasons – first, legumes (which fix nitrogen to the soil, thus improving soil fertility); second, rice (the staple of Silla, and the most versatile grain); and third, root crops and greens (the former can thrive with less labor and input, while the latter reduces soil salinity).

751-760

The attack launched by the Noble House of Tykatus against the Halati results in an unexpected victory for the Halati. The Halati use the terrain to their advantage, capturing most of the attackers rather than killing them. The leader of the Halati quotes an ancient tradition from east of the mountains, that he is entitled to the defeated leader’s wife for himself, and he offers to release his captives in exchange.

The nation of Agunda decides to accept the offer proposed to it by the Telachitul Republic. They recognize the southern tribes as vassals of the Telachitul Republic and agree to pay tribute.

The “Neo-Eldebethias Empire” is founded after Oshkdeh successfully captures the north of Eldebethias from the Paotualma Empire. After narrowly repulsing one invasion from the south, he reaches out to Drake and Hythia for aid.

The nations of Ouayi and Aurelia begin competing to dominate the island of Erekesi, located northeast of Ouayi and south of Aurelia. A proxy war breaks out between tribal allies of both nations.

The nation of Bascula becomes split between support toward Syres and toward Yannis. Under Yesleme’cul, a faction of the Basculans supports full conversion to the Yannian faith and requests aid from the Yannian nations to the east. Under the leadership of Levian, another faction requests aid from the Mouri Empire.

  • Mouri Empire: Farrajulen dies, and his son by Shanzian named Vanden II is crowned the next Emperor in Azoz. Like all of his children, Vanden was raised in the Ulm faith by his tutors in the Great Library of Azoz, and ensured the royal court had smoothly transitioned back to the moderate orthodox traditions of before Julen. Even so, the identification of the faith had changed significantly as a result. Vanden had adopted the Shanzian branch of Ulm for himself, and it is no coinidence during this time many doctrines espoused by the Holy Patra were very Shanzian in leaning. Emperor Vanden took the navy of Neum and Aus-Thalutia (literally "Thalutia-on-the-water") and sent them north with a substantial army to support Levian of Bascula. Being so close to this side of the Gabatrian Sea, Vanden hoped this to be a plausible test for the military and naval reforms completed by Farrajulen, to see if just this section of the sea can be claimed for the new empire. Levian was recognized as the true ruler of all of Bascula, evident from letters sent to him at the time called "Levian, son of Yas'col, King of all the Basculans". Vanden asked for help on this campaign explicitly from Syres and Edom, Mouri's strongest allies at the time. This, too, was considered a test by Vanden in his campaigns, feeling out whether his allies of Edom or Syres would be actually useful or successful in pushing Yannis back more successfully than the Xeran empire, or if this was a complete waste of diplomacy.
  • Holy Empire of Hythus: Years 438-447 Since the Return of Hythus. Emperor Lyarsan faces a serious challenge in the capture of the Imperial Unar in the mountains. Much of the force was drawn from other noble houses who demanded their soldiers back. Lord Dylus of Noble House of Tykatus, a rather stubborn man, refuses to sell his wife to the enemy, but after demands from both the Emperor and a half-dozen other lords Dylanus agrees to negotiate. Lord Dylus sends an envoy into the mountains offering to negotiate for the release of the army, strategically including mention of accepting the demand. The envoy asks that the Halati King meet with Lord Dylus in the foothills of Kus Symas in Imperial territory where a final deal will be struck. Dylus offers tribute to the king, hoping to satiate him with gold rather than be humilated. Furthermore, Dylus offers his daughter Olyga as husband and hostage to the Halati King's son. [Mod Response] Across the rest of the empire the economy swells owing to increased access to the trade routes of the world. Old-Hythia grows massively in wealth as exports and imports flow totally unhindered up and down the Tythies. Old-Mythadia also benefits thanks to the export of goods from upriver, as well as the expansion of ports. Mythas, the capital grows rapidly and a large temple structure is built to honor the gods. The Navy is further expanded to a fleet of some 80 ships, 22 Triremes, 32 Trihemiolia, and 26 longships. The ships continue the new tradition of naval artillery rather than rams and most lack any ramming capability at all. The fleet of exploratory longships continues to explore, this time they head south, beyond Qaryaat and the Bereban Peninsula. [Exploration Response] Agricultural production increases due to the expansion of farmlands, the use of human, bovine, and equestrian excrement to enrich the already fertile volcanic soil. More canals and tythoruses are constructed for irrigation. Crop-rotation strategies become firmly entrenched and are effectively universal. The population grows immensely due to increased wealth and nutrition. The Oshkdeh are offered 2,000 lances, 2,000 sets of lamellar armor, and 5,000 spears in exchange for 30 female elephants. [Mod Response]
  • Taivaie: Expansion via usual methods of threats continues in every direction, and population continues to expand exponentially. Irrigation and clearances enhance the already fertile soil, with 6.5 rice crops a year, feeding and nurturing the rapidly growing population. Gilavas I orders hired sailors from the city-state to explore the coasts, reaching out for more lands to eventually subjugate. A series of fortified settlements is built on the outskirts of the 'safe' lands, to ward against incursions, and to expand the 'safe' area. Taivas literature becomes more widespread, as the literate population increases. A famous poet named Safous is discovered to have affection for her female friend, which causes an outrage in Taival. An angry mob has her executed by pouring molten wax down her throat.

Tsardom of Algeorgia: After one of the tsar's bodyguards passed away, his body was donated (with the family's permission) to the tsar's personal physician who performs the first ever dissection on it. The dissection uncovers a link linking the brain to the eye which he names the optical nerve. (It hapened in 500 BC OTL). The full report of his discoveries are to be released in a couple of years.

  • Mesallian Culture: The upheaval in the Bascula region greatly worried the nation of Syres, and the city answered the call from its ally to send an army into the region. The city would launch its full support behind the claimant Levian, in exchange for his cooperation with the nation of Syres. Expecting retaliation from the Yannian nations, this placed them at odds with Syres, and positions across the straits in the east were also strengthened. A major battle would be fought in the north at the northeast tip of Bascula, where the Syresian garrison managed to narrowly repulse an attack against ones of the city’s main strongholds around the straits. In the Kingdom of louneosas the first king Jaqnisin died and was succeeded by his nephew, Alsnibis. Under his leadership the Harbor of Vano would be expanded for the purposes of producing warships, greatly expanding the fleet of the new kingdom. Hishle’meles, now elevated to one of the city’s richest merchants and head advisors, used his position to greatly expand trade networks across the sea. His efforts were disliked by many Mesallian cities, who dominated trade north toward Syres, and also by the Cult of Lementer, who began efforts to infiltrate the city. Hishle’meles would prove to be a master at court, creating his own network of informants and spies, blackmailing and tricking others to preserve his influence, and secretly combatting the Lementarians at every turn. As part of his quest to remain relevant in the court, Hishle’meles had begun a secret affair with the king’s mother, Shenemana of Edom. In third year of the 137th Jafiad (Year 750), another noble arrived in the city named Orlecephon, who claimed to be one of Jaqnisin’s cousins. His story was collaborated by some members of the royal family, some of which became of their increasing distrust of Hishle’meles, and also due to his insignias and clothing, depicting royal symbols. According to the accounts of Hishle’meles’ life and the Water Merchants, Orlecephon was a Lementarian imposter. The Lementarians had masterfully fabricated his persona using artifacts from Jaqnisin’s stay in Edom, and for people who could not be persuaded otherwise, Orlecephon arrived with a great amount of wealth to bribe his way into court. The two nobles immediately became enemies, vying for control over the young king’s will. Later that year Hishle’meles would successfully convince the king to begin the Talasian War, which was a short conflict in the Talasian Sea to ensure the kingdom’s access through the straits of the north. The kingdom’s ships would be tested in their conquest of the small island of Alipos, which would be successful, but this attracted attention from major cities such as Sericolis and Setia. Just as the war seemed over, and a major success for Hishle’meles, his affair with the queen dowager was revealed by Orlecephon to the Holy Patra of the city, who managed to incite a popular movement to have the advisor exiled. Fearing a major rebellion, the king accepted the advice of Orlecephon and had removed from the head of the war effort. Hishle’meles would flee to Losdenport, seemingly removed from politics, but later that year he managed to strike an unlikely alliance with a Syresian merchant lord named Naphodes. Claiming to be a royal envoy of the High Tyrant of Umhlaba, Hishle’meles convinced the Syresians that he had the authority to grant them a monopoly over access to Usinilago, as the premiere operator of the Water Merchants, and also spent every last bit of the money he managed to smuggle with him as part of his ruse. The gamble paid off, as Hishle’meles returned south in the year of the 138th Jafiad (Year 752) at the head of a Syresian trade fleet. In the meantime, Orlecephon had managed to defeat Sericolis in a trade war, fighting constantly at sea while also sending Lementarian agents to sabotage the city on land. When they arrived in the vicinity of Alipos, Hishle’meles received word that Orlecephon was in Setia, negotiating with the local authorities there. He decided to sail to the city with his trade fleet and small band of Syresians and mercenaries. Arriving that night, Hishle’meles made as much noise and alarm as possible, convincing those in the city that a giant army from Sericolis had arrived. The attackers demanded that Orlecephon be handed over, and the city agreed to take him and his men prisoner. Hishle’meles soon discovered that the man they had been given was an imposter, the real Orlecephon having escaped through a sewage pipe and swimming down a canal out of the citadel. Hishle’meles decided to sail to Usinilago and use the other captured dignitaries to prove that Orlecephon must have been killed. He was reluctantly accepted back into the city, and a funeral was held for Orlecephon, but soon numerous problems caught up to Hishle’meles. Setia had bought the ruse, and rallied the entirety of the Province of Neum to invade Sericolis, which Orlecephon had actually made neutral beforehand. Additionally the Syresians now assumed control over the city’s shipping, but Hishle’meles’ promise of this had actually been a false promise. First Hishle’meles had the Syresian ships loaded with goods plundered from the imperial palace, his own pocket, or the nation’s treasury, so that they would be quickly pushed out of actively began stalling. During one of the city’s festivals, where it is customary to wear masks and costumes, a costumed entertainer would be paid to assassinate the Syresian while he was touring the city. A brief war ensued between Sericolis and Setia, with the Syresian trade fleet finding itself caught in the middle. Hishle’meles would propose an alliance with Sericolis, making it seem like Setia was the true aggressor, and soon the war came to a standstill. News arrived of the war in Bascula by this time, and the kingdom sent an army to aid the Mouri Empire, as part of an attempt by Hishle’meles to ensure that the war with Neum would pass without further incident. This would prove to be Hishle’meles’ undoing, as the army did poorly in the war, and Hishle’meles was now equipped with less men at his disposal. Having evaded capture, Orlecephon would march toward the city by land, attracting followers and soldiers unaware of his mock funeral. At the city’s gates Orlecephon demanded entry and justice against Hishle’meles for attacking a royal mission, prompting Hishle’meles to flee into exile once more while he still could. Orlecephon regained control over the king once more, but found the king far more paranoid after the entire situation. After the king threatened to exile Orlecephon as well, he was discovered dead in early in the second year of the 138th Jafiad (Year 753), with Orlecephon appointed regent over his infant son, Jaqnisin. But news of this would reach the late king’s brother, Besonin, who was acting as an ambassador to Erasidon at the time. He would form an alliance with the Erasidonian king, who disliked the rule of the past kings of louneosas, and marched into the city to arrest Orlecephon. This would finally be the end of Orlecephon’s luck, and Besonin was accepted as the new regent with open arms. A year later he would controversially replace his young nephew as king himself, causing instability in the fragile kingdom. As for Hishle’meles, he would travel as far north as the farthest colonies, becoming a favorite of the aged pirate lord turned king, Joroha’asdur. He would also serve in Bascula himself as a mercenary, where he allegedly managed to convince a massive group to join him in the north. This giant influx of settlers would establish Joroha’asdur’s kingdom further, and prevent total collapse during a Darnan attack that same year.
  • Melia: Our steady growth has proven fruitful for us. Trade with the Friorian nomads has given a needed boost to our income. However, the cities remain cold to us, a complete show of disrespect according to the fire god Emal. He argues that we must assert our dominance and make them pay tribute to us. However, much of the steppe remains to be unclaimed and the earth goddess Mavel says that claiming the steppe should be our top priority. Lem sided with Mavel and so we continue to expand in the lake area. Mavel had also suggested to conduct a survey of how many people we actually rule. It would be recorded using colored rocks. Red for Priests and Clan Leaders along with their families, Blue for citizens, Yellow for serfs, white for slaves, and black for foreigners. The rocks would then be counted. Voya Kalaha age is apparent, and the priests predict he will join the gods within the next five years. As such, they prepare for the ceremony, where once he dies, he will be put in the lake, so he may join the gods in their glory.
  • Yannian Culture: The Yannians of Agelmur support the uprising in Bascula, and send an army into the south to liberate the lands. Additionally, emboldened by the war against the dynasty of the north, the western Yannian empire sends an army as well, and a great crusade begins. First Agelmur will secure the lands of the far north, where Yannian settlement is most common, and then invade the lands of Levian and the other Thotite false prophets. There is great call for the destruction of the Thotites, for corrupting the lands of Bascula with their presence. A righteous war of liberation and justice begins, to completely purge them. Many nations create a fleet to bring the people on crusade, and sails for the land intent on bringing about the fail collapse of the Thotites. The nation of Tesardya grows considerably, and the nation sees extensive trade in the north. The city dominates trade with the Darnan colonies and states, trades extensively with the Zelonuma Emiresq, and with the new states from Usinilago established in the north.
  • Thïgæ: The ever growing country of Thïgæ makes administration much harder on the emperor, and so once the authoritarian, all-powerful Thehre X passes away, his son, Rovthk I, makes smaller administrative states. The administrative divisions- called a Thakosh -, have governors - called a Thakoït - appointed by the Yithït (Emperor), although there are limitations to who can become a governor; they must own land, have studied at a royal school, and gone through a civil service exam testing administrative, trading, and academic knowledge. This makes sure that all Thakoïts are good enough to govern their Thakosh. Any smaller administrative divisions are up to the Thakoïts' themselves. The canal in the east continues being built, and small expansions are made in the north to help further irrigate lands. Roads get better and better by the decade. Rathorque turns into Authorzm, a slightly modified form of Rathorque renaming most gods and introducing more moral codes (turning into something like OTL Confucianism). By the end of the decade, most who followed Rathorque switch to Authorzm, requiring no switch of god, just renaming and a few different moral codes. The Yuzonï (Yuzonia), Darï (Sonaredar), and tribal lands united under Gecnevedessar are once again offered an alliance to protect against the Ehcrumeï (Vhaynos). By extension, Gecnevedessar's lands are offered vassalization to protect themselves from the Ehcrumeï, and this would not violate Ehcrumeï protection of the land, as Thïgæ would not not officially be claiming land for itself (Mod and Londrion 2.0 Response Needed). Secretly, Dvama is promised southern Ehcrumeï lands if they ally with Thïgæ. Also, Xinaben and Daukani rebel groups are contacted, with support of their groups promised if war does come with the Ehcrumeï. Most of the northern Athorasi (Aforazi) valley is claimed, and rural areas continue to expand. Exploration continues east, west, and south. Rovthk I starts to protect the southern land, saying no other foreign power than Thïgæ (who is the one guaranteeing the land) shall interfere in the south, and the Ehcrumeï settlement on the southern continent is not recognized at all. A bureaucracy is created, making the Departments of War, Agriculture, Infrastructure, and Natural Resources, among others.
  • Zelonuma Emiresq: It has now been many generations since the first king created his underground kingdom. By now thousands of children of the king work, live, and die in his underground world. They build tunnels, worship the king and the heavenly ceiling, and produce more and more children. Sunlight has never graced the tunnels in 100 years. Above ground, the nation of the Zelonuma Emiresq sees great expansion along the coast. Many Darnans join the crusade against the Thotites, sending soldiers to the Bascula tribes.
  • Yusur Civilization: For approximately four decades the Baesel region was under the sway of the kings of the east, either in part or in whole, with various tribes and cities paying tribute to the Akinites or to Usqema itself. Although in their own words the people of Baesel largely despised this period in their history under foreign rule, the region became vastly more interconnected with the outside world, taking artwork, literature, architecture, and other facets of culture from across the greater region. According to the Baesrelite narrative, the time of the Akinites and the later judges was a time of great moral corruption, a turning away from the worship of Eshel, and the adoption of foreign customs that had been outlawed by their earlier prophets. The Akinite city of Esin dominated and conquered the south, where a king known as Risusham-elnucush forced the people of Baesel toward the worship of false idols, slaughtered their judges, and created numerous slaves. North of him, two tribes came to be ruled by Jothebesh, after he killed the families of two judges before him. Due to his treachery, the Akinites further seized the influential port city of Gazuphan. Despite this, one of the weaker tribes of the region, Alosh, came to be ruled by a judge named Abuniden, who despite his poor situation, continued to praise Eshel and promote religion in his tribe. As a result, according to the Baesrelite scriptures, when the armies of Risusham-elnucush and Jothebesh surrounded him and attacked, he miraculously defeated the invaders, and pushed on to the sea, where Jothebesh was drowned. As a result Gazuphan became an Akinite enclave, but it was spared as the governor decided against oppression toward the people of the city. In the north infighting between the tribes and against invaders was more frequent. In the city of Niset there came a judge by the name of Oshnehud, who was a descendant of Cyrecesh and Usnam, having gained control over the city through an alliance with the Akinites of the south. During his lifetime he would see the city initiate trade with the islands to the northwest, the primary island to the north, and across the Yusur region and beyond to the east. He would also commission the first colony across the narrow straits to the northern island, founding the city of Mosbinul. Also according to the narrative of the Baesrelites, one colony of Niset would join the locals in their foreign customs, settling in the lands of Barakunishluba. It is said that Eshel destroyed this city, completely razing it to the ground. Historically, it is likely that the two civilizations became at odds quickly, with the Baesrelites possessing a technological advantage. Although few details exist about a hypothetical war between the two at this time in history, a later treaty is attested during the lifetime of Oshnehud’s son, Ongala, which delineates the exact borders of the southern end of the island. The Baesrelites asserted control over the southeast end of the island, up to the border with the city-state of Alucugathul in the west, and the territory of Suun, promised to the island of Tamunduzan.
  • Shemia: The Great Queen Prophetess Shema led the Emalian Exodus into the oasis where the rivers converged into a fertile land. It is here that the women find sanctuary from the world that wishes to destroy them, where this is life and peace. The ground and soil sre fertile just as the Shemians are fertile, eager to bring new life into the world after the destruction of old, and bring new life they do, bathing in the Shema Rivers where they become renowned for their beauty and tribal men flock and become assimilated, and soon emerges as the dominant state in the oasis valley, becoming a major trading hub, connecting worlds together, becoming a known haven for all women to live in peace against the cruelty of life. Here all women are truly equal, forming a council where all are able to meet and discuss, sharing their ideas, with the land being shared by all, everyone contributing. To defend Shemia from all those who wish to destroy it, The Holy Shemian Force is formed, and expeditions are made to expand Shemian lands across the rivers.
  • Sillan Republic: As the Cabeza reaches old age, the Cabeza continues to emphasize the implementation of laws ensuring religious harmony. She permits Ulmists to abstain for participating in civic pagan rites, but in exchange for a tax (~2%) placed upon the individual's income. She also abolishes the policy of registering religions and remove any questions in the decadal census on the subject of religious afflation. Despite this, inter-religious strife (most prominently between pagans and followers of the Ulmism) persists, due to the association of Ulmism (especially the Western sect) with Azozian culture. Ironically, this prejudice against Ulmists results in a feeling of solidarity between the numerous sects of Ulm, and between its two major branches. Meanwhile, within the Cixite sect a basic episcopal structure is established, with the seven major sees being initially equal in status – thus marking the end of the "Grand Minsitry". Apostles Xísuman and Caisérin assume jurisdiction over the cities of Magaqí and Silas respectively; Lízadora, over Fuerzé-Nuérza; Robuerta, over Celadón; Lianuéra, over Macúos; Caqiena over Fuerzé-Súr; and Adriazo over Arabán. Apostle Caisérin authors the "Lesser Gospel of Cixi, according to Caisérin"; which further details the events of the Anointed One's early childhood. This draws controversy from Apostle Xísuman, particularly the claim that the former is the Apostle "closest" to Cixi (a claim also opposed by Apostle Adriazo – who is rumored to be the lover of Cixi as hinted by Lianuéra, but he claims that the relationship was entirely platonic). However, upon hearing of Jiazí's confirmation of the book and its contents, and her praise of Caisérin for undertaking its authorship, Xísuman digresses and personally confers the title of "Archbishop" onto her. Following the event, Xísuman was rumored to have wept and asked for the latter's forgiveness, for she had "doubted the desire of the Anointed One". Both the Lesser Gospel and the Letter of Caisérin, addressed to Xísuman (as it establishes the precedent for the clergy and the primacy of Silas), become canonized. Meanwhile, Apostle Kaqiena writes a letter directed to the Western Ulmists (referred to as the "West Ulmians"), criticizing their insistence on adopting Azozian culture as a part of observing Ulmist divine law. This letter incites a negative response from the Ulmist clergy, and as a result, they spark a religious riot in Banzenopolis. The community of Cixites is ousted entirely from the city, with many pagan residents participating in their expulsion due to rumors of their alleged practice of incestuous orgies, ritual human sacrifice (via immolation) and cannibalism; which stems respectively from their usage of "brother and sister" when referring to each other, their practice of baptism to signify entry to the faith, and their frequent consumption of honey (which is treated as of divine origin) – often referred to as the "Essence of the Anointed One" (with "essence" being a euphemism for blood). Despite vocal opposition, numerous elements of Azozian culture enter Silla – most prominently its philosophies. As a result, westward of youth venture westward annually for education in Azozian schools. Arches become more utilized in the construction of bridges, and the first multi-inclined and sweeping roofs are constructed (with more support from beams and braces). However, single-inclined roofs remain ubiquitous while arches are seldom used outside of the field of bridge construction.
  • Empire of Grosserdrachenia: Imperator Halifacs plans to build more fortifications around the largest establishments of the Empire with many skilled laborers being put to work. Four dozen more ships are built for the navy including 18 messaging ships, 20 transport ships and ten galleys equipped with rams. More men join the armed forces as the idea is popularized. Many people go to the north after people begin to hit big in mining toward the north. Lumber and other goods such as glassware and silverware are made north as well with people finding new ways to make money. The Darche is nationalized as the currency to use for exchange rather than bartering or use of pieces of silver. Rather the new currency would have the face of the Imperators and Konigs to come and would be recognized as the currency to exchange by the use of gold and silver. Exploration to the west in the north and general exploration is made in the south. A merchant by the name of Hardburgh becomes quite wealthy from his ways of trade with the ownership of many ships and many other merchants below him, he has gained immense levels of wealth. His kids have also begun to enter the business but his son, Maximilian, had other intentions such as joining the armed forces.

761-770

South of the Valley of the Comet, a Zedumari leader and Zedugesi (“soldier seller”), named Nabunadala, makes a fortune from training local warrior bands and contracting them to city-states north of him. After passing through many nations and across vast distances, some of these Zedumari become those hired by the Mouri Empire, although the Zedugesi have no concept or knowledge of such a place truly existing. Nabunadala uses his fortune to launch an invasion southward, pillaging the Kingdom of Yiscula, after its king allegedly insulted his family. His group would settle the region of Nesondon (“South Ondon”), intermingling with native tribes of the region.

The nation of Malmaça conquers the coast to the east, granting it access to important port cities. This allows it greater ability to trade with the nations of Qera and beyond, as well as their southern trade partners, such as Agunda.

In the nation of Cirsyemit a small minority of Yannian converts develop within the merchant class, as they seek greater relations with the dominant trade powers of the west. Their ships reach as far west as the cities of Tohatia and Phorintheon.

A dynasty of Eborite-Vytian descent comes to power in their western vassal, led by a nobleman named Resprati. He is faced with an invasion from the north by the nation of Draka, who answers the call of the nation of Eldebethias

The war in Bascula, in which the forces of the Mouri Empire, Syres, and numerous allies, fight against the forces of Xemunis, the Zelonuma Emiresq, and Agelur, results in a Mouri victory. The Mouri suffer 2,400 casualties, Syres suffers 2,250 casualties, and their allies suffer 3,060 casualties, while the Yannians suffer 5,940 casualties, the Darnans suffer 3,000 casualties, and their allies suffer 8,350 casualties. Additionally the main Yannian claimant in Bascula, Yesleme’cul, is killed in battle.

The king of the Halati accepts the peace offer from Lord Dylus, agreeing to travel to the foothills of Kus Symas to receive his tribute and his new bride. The Oshkdeh likewise accept the offer from the Hythians, although they explain that their payment may be delayed.

Gecnevedessar accepts the offer from Thïgæ, becoming a vassal of the nation. He requests aid from Thïgæ, while in the meantime, he renews attacks against the Vytians.

  • Taivaie: Expansion via threat continues in every direction. An emissary is dispatched to this nation of "Thai Gay", in order to learn of their barbaric culture, and the surrounding lands. The emissary is named Leanith, and is also one of the greatest warriors in Taivaie. Population growth continues to be facilitated by massive amounts of food production. Exploration via purchased vessels continues.
  • Tsardom of Algeorgia: The tsar orders the construction of plumbing in the royal palace and after that is completed it is planned to be expanded into the capital itself. This will help decrease sicknesses from waste and also make things healthier. The first medicinal book is published with the finding of the dissection. The tsar's personal doctor advocated that to be able to perform better operations tools should be used. The tsar takes this idea and authorises the creation of tool for operations. (Vand, this is okay, right?)

  • Mouri Empire: Upon the victory over the Yannis forces in Basculan, many people across the empire were enthusiastic for the success in the name of Nelrim and Nelrim's god. However, unlike previous generations Emperor Vanden did not institute any celebration for this victory, but instead mandated a period of solemn prayer and fasting for all holy orders. They will not, reportedly, fall to hubris for initial success as Xera did, but leave all things in the hands of the True God alone. Having recovered the military, and fully resupplied in Basculan, the next campaign led by Mouri would be against Agulmur. This quick and decisive campaign was organized by General Agenor, the same commander in Bascula who was made honorary First Citizen. The goal of this new war was to depose the Yannian rulers of the kingdom, and replace them with distant relatives of the Basculan monarchy. H'cmo'sco, the candidate for the Agelmur throne itself, was not Ulmian himself at this time, but was greatly sympathetic toward the religion and would allow its prosyltezation, while also weak enough to become a Syresian puppet. The emperor once again called in his allies of Syres and Edom to aid in this conflict, but did not obligate the newly-independent Bascula, seeing as they might rather take time to rebuild their nation than become a slave army. Vallan the Generous was apostle to the Basculans, who encouraged religious toleration and philosophical debate, but also pressured the king to completely outlaw some of the Yannian practices, namely those that murder or defile human decency. He also organized volunteer forces to rebuild and recover the Basculan cities for no payment. The empire nominally supported Seita in their war against Sericolis, but did not offer much military due to the ongoing wars against Yannis. When rumor spread of the events going on in Usilinago, the Holy Patra in Azoz condemned the affair of Hishle’meles, and wrote an extensive letter describing his acts as defaming the whole culture as base and immoral. The Holy Patra further sends embassadors and philosophers to the Patra of Sillas, urging them to adhere to the western doctrines on strict scriptural canon. The philosphers on this voyage take up debate with the Sillan female Apostles, although female church leadership was not unheard of in the Mouri, especially in Edom, it still brings up certain theological questions on interpreting the Wisdom of Nelrim. In the far south, although the Zedugesi never made any direct contact with the empire, much information is preserved for us by the Itinerary of Oranmanou. Oranmanou was the son of a wealthy Water Merchant, and was tasked by his guild to greatly extend the caravan camel trade south of the Valley of the Comet. Although some of his Itinerary is clearly exaggerated or fanciful, he does describe the culture of the Zedumary and Zedugesi in great detail, and afterward pushed farther south overland to chart out the whole extent of the desert. The Erisoh Canal system was further developed and expanded, finally utilizing the immense power of the Ashe River to expand the farmlands of Teman and Asturias several times greater than before. Water wheels, which had existed since ancient times, were further developed to use the river for a variety of basic machinery. Isodore of Azoz at this time is accredited for the first development of fine baking and pastries, although what were considered "cakes" back then would have been far less appetizing than those today. The oldest commercial bakery of such pastries was found to be in the Monastery of Jiff.
  • Holy Empire of Hythus: Years 448-457 Since the Return of Hythus. Emperor Lyarsan, enthralled in the news of exploration from the west, voyages to the colony in Lyrasia to survey the construction. His visit initiates a new spree of settlement across the island with dozens of ships making the voyage every month. By the end of the decade much of the island is under imperial control with a small city taking root in the original landing site. Natives on the island are taught the will of Hythus and integrated under threat of violence. Trade envoys are sent out to the new nations discovered by the exploration of the last decade, notably Sillas and Exhula, but others as well. Imperial Hythologists arrive in these nations to survey rocks and map the landforms, offering to purchase maps from the Sillians in particular, as they hold an interesting waterlogged climate foreign to the Hythologists. Traders also arrive in all of the nations offering saffron, worked steel, cotton goods, leather, sulfur, horses, and other goods. [Diplomacy Response] With peace secured in the east, the economy swells owing to increased access to the trade routes of the world. Stone masons across the empire, long users of quicklime cement begin adding pozzolanic ash into their cement. This addition gives the material increased water-resistance and allows for stronger, more durable buildings. One of the first examples of its use is a large lighthouse and fortress built at the mouth of Mythas’ harbor. The Navy is further expanded to a fleet of some 88 ships, 24 Triremes, 32 Trihemiolia, and 32 longships. The ships continue the new tradition of naval artillery rather than rams and most lack any ramming capability at all. The fleet of exploratory longships ventures northward past Ry’Kyva and the Jyazradids. The policy of land-grants is re-instituted and settlement of the south accelerates. A large road is built toward Antanem and colonized along its length. Dozens of small cities and towns spring up across the south, located near the natural springs and minor streams that dot the landscape. Networks of roads are constructed as the settlers go, linking together these settlements and spreading administrative institutions as they go. The Mythadian remnant of the islands is offered vassalage and a guarantee of independence. [Diplomacy Response]
    • Joredesh and Antanem: In Antanem, High Chief Zariliaq marries the only child and eldest daughter of the Joredeshi High Chief Puras. Eight months after the wedding, High Chief Puras and his wife are both found dead, leaving Joredesh to their daughter, Laylia, the wife of Zariliaq. Suspecting foul play, a league of Joredeshi Chiefs resist, declaring Laylia a false ruler and electing their own High Chief, Dorus. This election prompts an Antanem invasion of Joredesh, and fighting rages across both nations. In the chaos, a Joredeshi Clan migrates south into Gomis, capturing much of the lighting defended north. The invasion by Antanem is repulsed by Joredeshi troops, and High Chief Zariliaq is killed in battle. The situation remains in limbo at the end of the decade.
  • Mesallian Culture: The nation of Syres agreed to aid the Mouri Empire in its invasion of Agelmur, under the pretense that Agelmur had been the staging ground for attacks against Syres during the war in Bascula. In Edom, Maleka Nesalama died and was succeeded by Shameza III. She would renew allies with Erasidon and the Mouri Empire, and continue Edomite support for wars in the north. In the west the Kingdom of Iouneosas there was instability as a result of religion, as the nation’s government became increasingly pagan, while the population remained largely Ulmian. Although Besonin proved a more level headed and competent king, he inherited a kingdom that had been inefficiently ruled for a decade. The war between Sericolis and Neum ended, but had been a massive drain on resources for the kingdom. The fiasco with the Syresian merchants had not turned into a war, but it had greatly damaged the prestige of Usinilago, and its trade relations with the north. Although Orlecephon had been executed, the Lementarians continued to vy for control over the city, while the discontent Water Merchants fought back. All these problems would be inherited by the new king, and he quickly set about solving them. The king would send a costly expedition to Syres and Agelmur to aid the war effort there, in the hopes of turning Syresian opinion back toward Usinilago. The damage caused by the event instead led to the city of Thalutia growing in size rapidly, as merchants looked for a new port on the coast for a brief period. Despite progress being made, the Cult of Lementer devised a plot to destroy the kingdom, in the event that they could not control it, and sought to turn the allies of Mouri and Edom against each other over the issue. First the Lementarians coaxed the Ulmians into revolt, by publishing false evidence to make the pagans look increasingly extreme, and to convince the population that the Ulmian faith was in jeopardy. This was not a difficult task for the population already on the edge of revolt, and the Holy Patra fell for the Lementarian ruse himself, calling for the government to repent or be punished. Caving to public pressure, the king announced he would convert to the Ulmian faith, although this alienated the non-Ulmian nobility of the city. Their complaints made their way to Edom, where actors and agents for the Lementarians told similarly fabricated tales about the Ulmian slaughter of Edomites and other pagans. The Maleka was encouraged to invade the kingdom, which the Lementarians hoped would turn the two empires against each other. Instead, perhaps because of the Maleka being far less ambitious than her grandmother, she decided to let Iouneosas go free, if it would mean peace with the Mouri, on account of the state seemingly being lost already to the Ulmians. Although this would have avoided an all out war between Edom and the Mouri Empire, this decision was unpopular among the nobility of Edom, as the state had fought to create a buffer state and a protectorate. As a result, in the year of the 141st Jafiad (Year 764), the Maleka would be deposed in favor of a different relative of Nesalama, known as Hesamena II. Public support was high for a war in the west to reassert control, and the new Maleka did so. With help from Erasidon, Edom and Mesallian territory would be expanded to the eastern mountains, but in general the campaign proved a failure. Besonin proved an able commander, but more importantly began negotiations to prevent further conflict. After a successful battle southeast of the capital, according to legend, the king would be assassinated by a Lementarian, hoping to bring about all out war. Although the last able king of Iouneosas had been killed, the Edomites did not advance much farther, and it was hoped the Iouneosas crisis would be resolved. The city of Usinilago fell into chaos, but despite the wishes of the Lementarians, a Water Merchant and Ulmian named Lebesumel would assume control over the city by force. He was likely a nobleman from Umhlaba who saw the Mouri Empire as likely annexing the state in due time, but he positioned himself to be its first governor in that case.
  • Yuzoni Empire: On year 761 on the Yuzonia calendar, the military is still reworked on because of the relatively weak military that Mang used to possess. However, this military won't be fully finished until 20 years after (OM Two Turns). The ones that aren't being reworked are still sent out to expand the empire's influence. Secret Some military soldiers are being pulled out of reworkment and sent to arm the borders with Xinaben. End Secret Meanwhile, four months after that, the emperor crowned his wife as the Queen of Yuzonia. She would control the balance of power, and become commander of the Yuzonian Armed Forces. She proved to her husband that she was well-fitted. She commanded the reforms to continue, while pulling off the Western explorers from there expansion to rework their equipment. The naval constructions are also commanded to continue, as the looming threat on the bottom of their borders is showing a possible threat to the nation. After all of this, no progress was made until Year 763, in which the emperor, at 65 years old, is contained with the flu on his bed. He would later die, and his final words were "I wish for the entire nation of Yuzonia to become greater. Please save us the stars in the skies. I wish for the stars to shine upon our nation." His wife was expected to have the throne. However, Kellen Jusluu was one of the ten messengers of Yuzonia, and she and the emperor's wife (Jojan I) had a fight for who should derive the throne. The fight was won by Jojan I, who would derive the throne and allow Kellen Jusluu to become the Jushi Mollotov of Yuzonia. Meanwhile, after the emperor passed away and the fight happened, the empire remained relativity quiet, with no major important events. This would remain like this until Year 765, where the continuation of expansion in the north is continued. WIP
  • Melia: Voya Kalaha has passed on to the realm of the gods. As such, his body was prepared to be sent into Lake Lem to join our benevolent deities. After the ceremony of mourning is over, a new king had to be elected, based on the will of the gods. Eventually, Vakal, Kalaha's youngest brother is elected. He plans to futher militarize and expand Melia across the steppe. As such, his first action is to drill the curent military in the barracks, so that we may be prepared not only to conquer whoever stands in our wake, but defend against any who may overpower us as well. Vakal continues the policy of expansion across the steppe in the lake area, a notion approved by Lem. He decides to not change stance on the Friorians as they serve no threat and the trade with them serves a major boost to our economy.
  • Yannian Culture: Oh, the fall of Agelmur! GREAT AGONY. The Thoties came to sensely destroy another kingdom, and they have done so. They stomp upon the earth and defile it. They shove their spear-like member into the flesh of the earth, until the earth is utterly defiled. The earth cries out in great pain, “It’s so hot, it hurts. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH STOP. HELP! HELP!” screams the earth, “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.” The people of Agelmur flee to the mountain strongholds where they can resist. They hide in the old mines, and in secret tunnels as well. But the Thotites came thirsty for blood. They grab every last person of Agelmur and pierce them with their Nolromo Nectar, shriveling their flesh, and turning the people into broken skeletons of people. Parents are tasked with explaining to their young children when they ask, “Mommy, how can they be so cruel to us? Why must they hurt us, Mommy?” It is impossible to answer really why the Thotites are so evil to us. But some say they just purely crave the thrill of making people suffer, the raw flesh and blood of their victims, and the sexual pleasures of conquest. One such young girl is Agel, who is said to have been a great ten year old girl from a noble family. She was the most virtuous and charitable person in the kingdom, who loved everyone like family, even the Olmerites. But when the invasion came she was forced to hide in her family’s home, where they took as many Ulmians with them to help them hide. They found that in the chaos the Thotite invaders were butchering everyone, even their own Ulmians. They were so overcome with bloodlust they could not pause for a moment to think about who they killed. There is one such Thotite raider by the name of Chungiag, who was a fat Ulmian man covered in very hairy skin. He personally would claim to slaughter 1,000 people. On one such evening, he came upon the house of Agel, and he forced his way in. He had the adults brutally murdered in cold blood even as they prayed to their Thotite gods. He came upon the little girl known as Agel, who cried, “Please mister, I am Olmer, too, I am of Nolromo!” The man slowly undid his pants. On his thingey was tattooed the entire text of the Hagiography of Levian. He said, “let’s let the scripture decide that.” The evil Thotite defiled the young girl like an animal, before leaving her to die. But Agel would live, growing up to be a proud Yannian citizen. She would become a leader and an orator, at the head of the people calling for justice for Agelmur. She became a great symbol of hope in these trying times. Her once youthful body had become disfigured with scars and injuries, and her long blonde hair had turned gray. She had converted like many other Ulmians to the Yannian faith, after a Yannian discovered her and nursed her back to health. In her they trusted, making her the battle queen of the nation. She calls upon the Olmer beasts, and cries, “where is your god now Nolromo? You do not obey him. Every time you corrupt an innocent life in search of material gains and pleasures, you forsake your god. You are false prophets, you are worshippers of Drokki the Golden Bull and lover of snails. You are a disgusting individual, he who follows Thot into battle. You have destroyed another culture in search of your quest to pleasure yourself. Was your pleasure satisfying? Will you ever stop hungering for it? You are addicted to the vile act of self pleasure through murder, and your kingdom of corruption has no end. If your god was good he would rain down on old Azogi and raze that primordial mound of flesh and grotesque mating, and purge the world for the creations that have run amok. You are not real children of any good being or deity, you are an utter embarrassment to the entire world. You prey on the weak because you know it will inject you with quick pleasure, but there is more to the world than that little spurt of ooze when the world is an ocean of cultures and people. You have destroyed everything. The entire world clamors for you to be banned and barred from heaven, and cast from the world entirely. I HAVE A DREAM. Yes, I have a dream that one day all the free nations of the world will put aside their differences, see the Thotites as a mutual evil to us all, and join in the destruction of that horrible race. I have a dream that one day every nation will no longer fear for when King Thot is moist and droolingly hungry. I have a dream that all those crooked places will be made straight through faith and piety. All the world’s children will sing joyously that we are free at last, free at last.” The lords of Agelmur applaud with a joyous and ceremonious cry.
  • Thïgæ: The news of Gecnevedessar's acceptance of vassalization is celebrated, bringing the world one step closer to stoping the Ehcrumeï from taking over the southern continent. Aid is immediatley given to Gecnevedessar, although this is all made in the name of him, not Rovthk I, and therefore Thïgæ itself is not officially raiding the outpost. The southern continent is named Desarzuth after Gecnevedessar, and the vassal state Desargæ. The navy continues to grow, and fire grenades continue to be used. Ties with Sonaredar and Johdanpanan strengthen. The flag is changed considerably, after the addition of so many new provinces, with the ten stars being changed to 16, arranged in a different pattern. Secret: Yuzon is helped with their militarization, with scientists being sent to help them with fire grenades and the consruction of ballistas and catapults. In colabration with Yuzonï military technicians, they find pikemen to be partucarly helpful. End Secret. Pikemen are trained for the first time, looking to be good for warfare. This technology is shipped south to Desargæ. Expansion continues north, claiming the rest of the Athorasi valley, and east along the coast. Exploration continues east and west. Southern exploration is left to Desargæ. Trade with Zera (Qera) begins, especially for spices like nutmeg and cinnamon.
    • Desargæ: The vassalization of Desargæ comes with the Thï language of Ehbagr and the Thï religion of Autharzm. The completely oral local language adopts the Ehbagrï script, and words not used before the vassalization but needed now are adopted from Ehbagr. This creates a new dialect, Desarï Ehbagr, borrowing some words from the local language and some words from Ehbagr, including Ehcrumeï. Over time, this would become more and more like traditional "Thï" Ehbagr, but during the time period the dialect was still very distinguishable from traditional Ehbagr. Autharzm takes a foothold in the south, with missonaries picking apart the native religion, exposing loopholes and contradictions while advertising Autharzm. Raids continue on the Ehcrumeï settlements, and with the help of Thï troops and supplies, these become more and more effective, making Desargæ richer. Without any clear borders however, it makes it hard to improve lands which may not even be under the control of Desargæ. Thus, a land survey commenses, making the vassal state's borders definite until expansion starts. Pike technology from the mainland is used for raiding, especially against the garrison there. However, due to the conversion of many to Autharzm, the ideals of the religion makes harming peaceful civillians unthinkable, and any Ehcrumeï farmers captured can convert to Autharzm, pay a one-time sum because of their alignment with the Ehcrumeï, and assimilate peacefully into society. They will be under the protection of Desargæ, and none shall hurt them. Otherwise, they are sold to slave traders, who are less welcoming. This policy prompts many to switch to the Desargæ side. Ehbagr becomes a Lingua Franca between Thï and Desarï speakers. Leanith, the ambassidor from Thaivae, is treated with respect, although he is not brought before Rovthk I, as his skills at a fighter may make him an assasin. However, he mets Gecnevedessar, who tells him of Thïgæ and the political situation between Thïgæ and Vhaynos, hoping to find an ally in the south. When he seems to be here on a friendly note, he is redirected to the mainland, in which he sees the capital and is shown the throne room, lavish with paintings. He is also shown the technologies. Rovthk I tells him to send his best regards back to Thaivae, and hopes that it will be the start of a blooming friendship between the two nations. Exploration starts southeast and southwest along the coast. More to come once land survey comes.
  • Qera: The expansion of the army continues because the prince made a law to soften the rules on the warrior castes and their rules on who can be part of the caste. This especially applies to the state of Ualjakia, where a large warrior caste has a lot of political influence though they are economically not relevant. Yzme wants a large, professional and all-time ready army. He strongly opposes that his soldiers try to gain political influence at all, thus he also requires them to contribute to the economy as well. The soldiers are now given farms of their own, yet they have to keep themselves trained for war. Many peasants that are willing to fight and seen as honorable men by the local count now enter the caste. The religion of Rhatixemy is now adapted in the county of Odzeba, while the Ulmist community in Tortla grows, about one-quarter of the population there follows the first testament of Ulmism. This also has an impact on the culture there, with many originaly Ulmist religious words entering the local dialect. In Ollea the small community grows further, making up now 5% of the population. To secure the frontiers, the western and southern borders are heavily settled now (20 px to the south and west are rural now). The settlement of the Qerzatlahe Islands continue and is fairly easy since no native population is reported there. Small deposits of silver are found there and mining villages occur there around that time. Evidence of provisional temples before 800 are discovered there in the late modern age and prove the theory of a larger settlement there. This theory was disputed among scholars for a long time because almost no temporary scripts are found that mention the settlement as a large city, it is barely mentioned at all. Another event dominates the period of the time, namely the birth of Ycas, son of Yzme and the marriage of the oldest daughter and heir to the throne Zoelle. Trade flourishes.
  • Zelonuma Emiresq: The nation of the Zelonuma Emiresq sends many men to help defend the Kingdom from Agelmur against the murderous invaders from the south. The nation expands south along the coast, claiming the northern one-half of Agelmur if it can as territory of the Zelonuma Emiresq. All around the nation people pray that the Morry Empire collapses. In fact, even the Ulmians do so, as from what they here Morry is not a real Ulmian nation, having been corrupted beyond repair by sin and lust. The soldiers of the Zelonuma Emiresq invade south and cross into the nation. It has now been many generations since the first king created his underground kingdom.
  • Friorian Culture: Within the culture group comes numerous dynasties, with most of them claiming to have a spiritual connection to the Moon and bright lights that appear as dots across the night time. The Hattuzitites, through small conflicts and wealth, are able to concentrate much of these claims to spirituality into their realm, which in turn allows them to grow in size. Colonial expeditions are sent up along the river, and the first canoe for better water travel is created.
  • Qaryaat: King Najeb of the House of Zamin (Zamini dynasty) comes into power. The territory of Bizafir is expanded north along the coast and the southwest part expands inland in an attempt to fill the unclaimed land between Makuku, Birahba (Beraba), and Mawan-Jaho. Meanwhile, the main territory expands east to Kepitis's border and south to Avsylann's border. In all territories of the kingdom, settlers are sent to loosely-claimed areas of the kingdom in order to consolidate control over said areas. The Lighthouse of Makra is renovated, and an amphitheater is built in the city of Makra. Meanwhile, the fort of Hisni-Mawan is expanded and reinforced. Medicinal knowledge from Aljurjya (Algeorgia) is spread to Qaryaat along the trade routes and quickly adopted. The town of Saqqatra develops into a bustling city. Explorations are made along the southern coast east of Avsylann, along the Beraban Peninsula, and along the long-ass island north of Aljurjya (whatever it's called). A census is conducted. A trade deal is sent out to the nation of Mang. (MANGI RESPONSE NEEDED)
  • Beraba: Wine in Beraba develops into two distinct styles - Beraban purple, which is prevalent in the west around Doulaba, and Beraban Yellow, which is prevalent in the east around Kitsura and Cohibos. Wine becomes one of the major exports that Beraba ships, both to the east and west. Other major exports include fish, sesame oil, and dried fruits. Much of the trade goods bought in the country are paid for with Beraban silver. The increase in trade leads the Princely Council to open a school of business where members of the Tangakwunu can study business, finance, and trade. Exploration continues north along the Irrosian Isles. Exploration continues north along the Irrosian Isles. Expansion continues east toward the east coast of the Beraban peninsula.
  • Telachitul Republic: Unafir's reign comes to an end with his peaceful, and as such, the Three Councils (Rural citizens or Telarad, Urban Citizens or Telaslet, and Nobles or Telamire) convene in Itochitul to pick a new ruler. Without much controversy, Niise is chosen to be the next Itotela. With the aftermath of the conquest of the north to deal with, the new ruler sets to work. To start, he starts to bring in the outer territories of the Republic closer to the republic economically and culturally. This is done both by establishing Telachitul towns at key locations, and generally increasing trade and spreading the growing Icrodel religion to the new territory. He hopes that by improving the quality of life in the new territories, during his reign he can expand the new land from merely territorial holdings to a proper part of the Republic. This philosophy is also applied to the Republics expanding borders, with Niise striving to keep the entire region culturally unified. In this vein, he also begins constructing a system of roads to bring the empire closer together. Most of the development happens in the core of the empire, but roads connect notable locations from the outer territories directly to Itochitul. However, for most coastal cities, the sea remains a much more efficient route of travel. In addition to the infrastructure development, Niise uses the annual tribute paid by the northerners to fund the formalization of the republican military. Most of these funds are for the creation of a navy, with a small fleet of ships built in Idolchitul and across the bay in Idolmere. Most of these ships aren't permanently manned by troops, but they remain close enough to the capital to be ready on short notice. In addition, the actual army is reorganized. Niise builds his standing army to 2,000 professional soldiers, and an additional 4,000 semi-professional troops who don't actively serve, but are available on the Itotela's command. in addition, every town has to have 1/30th of its population ready to fight if need be, and 1/15th in the event of a major war. Individual towns are expected to decide who serves and equip them, but are paid a stipend by the republican government to cover this. With the new land to tax and the wealth brought by pillaging parts of the northerners territory, annual taxes again swell the nation's treasury. In addition, the glut of trade provides Niise with another source of revenue to tax. Niise continues to promote the religion Icrodel, which has not become an important institution in the republic. Notably, temples exist in every major town, with a large central temple beginning being built in Idolchitul. The religion also begins to send missionaries to both the newly conquered territory and to areas Niise wishes to expand to in the north, hoping to export both the religion and culture of the republic. After decades of the Eveivel serving as the only sacred text of the religion, a set of scribes in the southern city of Idolcelbra produce another set of texts. Kutelaseem (best translated as genealogies) traces the story of the telachitul people and the Icrodel religion, and Vetla (best translated as teachings) recounts much of Mexotautl's (the writer of Eveivel) life and teachings, holding him as a model for Icrodel. The religion continues to gain in popularity with the populace. Niise continues to work to expand north rapidly along the coastline With the republic thoroughly dominating the coast both militarily and economically, a few settlements continue to grow, attracting both republican citizens and foreigners. In particular, a significant settlement directly across the bay from Itochitul (the capital) continues to experience significant growth, mostly because of its convenience as a docking location for both merchant and naval ships. The colony's location makes it a useful place to manage both colonization and trade along the coast. In addition, several coastal settlements in the north, and new settlement situated on the big lake to the north continue to grow. Iron working, especially for weapons, trade, and ship building continue to thrive as the main industries of Itochitul, the capital city. Ship building is particularly important, as it allows for large scale transport of goods along the coast, which in turn facilitates relatively quick colonization, as well as further trading. Niise sends an exploration party north, hoping to set up a republican outpost in the bay due north of the northerners.
  • Empire of Grosserdrachenia: Halifacs establishes the "Juce halle" where alcoholic beverages are stored for the royals. He finds himself hanging about the Academy of Dragsfurt Library discussing things like morality and philosophy since he is a man of ideas himself. He enjoys his time hunting in the royal hunting grounds and also meeting with generals to discuss possible improvements. Martheu Hardburgh becomes recognized as the wealthiest man of the Empire due to his ownership of so many merchant ships and sales he makes especially taking advantage of the Sudbestung trading hub. Other merchants envy his wealth and influence while others try mimicking his ways of power. Age soon caught up to him though and his business had been split among his three sons. Exploration of the seas and lands to the south continue while exploration to the east within the north is made. With the help of more settlers due to rare minerals being reported to the north being discovered, expansion north is made. Alocs Hardburgh mainly focused on raw =goods trading such as Lumber and mined materials while Karl Hardburgh focused on foreign goods sales and Maximilian Hardburgh gave his portion to his cousin Calim Wichse. The fate of the Hardburgh family's remains in the hands of these individuals whose success are yet to be determined. Military Strategist Hanz Von Soyenz becomes the lead advisor to the Imperator. Roads and housing continue to develop with more stone roads being made and better homes designed. Literature is definitely more available to scholars while farmers remain less educated with only knowledge of a few cheap books at small libraries in town or have just read the Bible and other religious writings. Farmers continue to see a surplus of crops and as a result, lower prices and a higher demand due to more availability grows. A Fort and a naval yard are constructed in Sudbestung with walls being placed around the growing city. an absolutely massive flood of people arrive leading to an expansion of city boundaries and crowding. Maximilian joins the army.

A prominent city known as Hamod emerges in the region south of Miseshem and southeast of Taivaie. The city-state begins trading with Miseshem and offers to trade with Taivaie as well.

The Battle of Yevce-vis in northern Agelmur, in which the Mouri Empire, Syres, and its allies attack the forces of Agelmur, the Zelonuma Emiresq, and their Yannian allies, results in a Mouri victory. The Mouri suffer 4,100 casualties, the Syresians suffer 1,490 casualties, and their allies suffer a combined 1,000 casualties, while Agelmur suffers 5,500 casualties, Darnans suffer 6,000 casualties, and the Yannians suffer 3,110 casualties.

The leader of the nation of Cirsyemit, Shumieli, refuses to become a vassal to any Hythian emperor, and states that he will not accept any of their offers.

Thïgæ’s attack against Vhaynos’ outpost is successful, with the outpost falling to the attackers. However, when Thïgæ begins openly disregarding the sovereignty of the south, forcefully promoting their religion and culture, and treating the people as subjects, Gecnevedessar orders every citizen of Thïgæ to be slaughtered. They declare their relationship with Thïgæ completely null and void, and express interest even in working with Vhaynos instead.

The nation of Shemia encounters another city-state known as Kourossa, located upriver from it near a major fork, which grows weary of the newcomer state in the region. Shemia is strengthened by a number of people arriving from the north, but increasingly native peoples are pushed off their lands, creating crises for nearby tribes.

Overlapping claims in the lakes region causes an issue between the nations of Qaryaat and Beraba. Numerous settlers from both nations are caught fishing, hunting, or otherwise trespassing in the other nation’s claimed territory, with several people being killed on both sides.

The nation of Draka wins a victory in the south against the Paotualma Empire, gaining territory in the western vassal of Pashrema.

  • Melia: All is well, too well, in Melia. While expansion efforts have been successful, we are unopposed, which bothers Vakal, who looks for action. The Friorians are treated as friends as some of their kind live among us in peace. This leads Vakal to a rather odd decision. He decides that since the steppe remains unopposed to our expansion, other realms must exist outside of it, so an expedition of the hardiest men should be sent there and not come back until they have made contact with such a realm. He hopes to find a realm to establish dominance over and create a tributary. The gods convene about such a rash move. Eventually, the priests come back with a verdict. The gods will allow it as long as expansion of the realm is top priority. Vakal agrees and later dispatches a handpicked expedition of the hardiest men into the "Vusekalia" or treeland to our north and not come back until they encounter another realm. Of course, Vakal keeps his word and continues expanding the realm in the Lake region, now called the "Lapakalia". Vakal continues to drill the army in the barracks in the event that we do come across such a realm, but modifies the procedure to prepare them for the "Vusekalia".
  • Tsardom of Algeorgia: We began expanding our farming lands and begin growing wheat and rye in smaller quantities. With the plumbing expanded into the capital, a new thing called showers are installed into the royal palace. The tsar pledges that before his death every citizen in the capital will have showers in their homes. A rare white horse is found and is gifted to the tsar by a citizen. The tsar names this horse Flaming Arrow and makes it his personal horse. With the high court of Algeorgia finished, the first trial is begun.
  • Holy Empire of Hythus: Years 458-467 Since the Return of Hythus. Emperor Lyarsan passes the throne to his heir, Hystalus in the 462nd year. In the remaining years of his rule, Lyarsan negotiates a royal marriage for his son and Laylia the Queen of Joredesh and Antenam. Queen Laylia, following the deaths of her parents and husband had inherited both the thrones of Antenam and Joredesh in the year 458. Hystalus proves to be an poor leader. He lacks the strength and the ability to command respect, often reminding nobles of his place as emperor. Fortunately, his wife, Laylia proves more capable, instigating bureaucratic reforms that centralize power around a small core of professionals in the employ of the Emperor. These leyarechs are responsible for visiting noble houses to collect taxes, the overseeing of imperial projects, and the management of imperial lands. This branch of government does anger a group of nobles in the east of the empire, but Empress Laylia’s firm hold on her and her husband’s empire enables her to outmaneuver the nobles in court, breaking the informal alliance and forming strong allies with nobles with important holds. The bureaucratic administration proves immediately valuable as the acquisition of materials for the construction of ships is accelerated and the fleet swells to some 100 vessels, 28 Triremes, 40 Trihemiolia, and 32 longships. The empire experiences a period of continuing prosperity as trade routes divert north to take advantage of the new possibilities afforded in the east. Goods from across the empire, spices from the south, and luxuries from the north all flow from Mythas to the ports of Silla, Exhula, and others. The colony of Lyrasia continues to grow, rapidly integrating natives through the threat of violence and the promise of wealth. The initial colonial city, Lyras, develops into a regional trade hub with a good natural harbor augmented by the construction of breakwaters and a small lighthouse. By the end of the decade most of the coast of the island is under loose imperial control. The Shumieli refusal is viewed with resignation by Emperor Lyarsan, but it is not unexpected. Regardless of the political differences between the Empire and Shumieli he hopes that both nations might continue to exchange goods and ideas without conflict. The fleet of exploratory longships ventures west once again, this time north along the coast of Exhula. The policy of land-grants is re-instituted and settlement of the south accelerates. Dozens of small cities and towns spring up across the south, located near the natural springs and minor streams that dot the landscape. Networks of roads are constructed as the settlers go, linking together these settlements and spreading administrative institutions as they go. Lord Dylus of Noble House of Tykatus, now an old man, journeys up into the mountains to see his daughter. He makes certain to document his mission with a diligent text describing the terrain along the route, as well as the nature of the mountain folk. Once in the Halati capital, he meets with his once-enemy King Ralodorf, the Halati high prince, and his daughter. In the course of the meeting, King Ralodorf and Lord Dylus form a friendship of sorts which Lord Dylus uses to learn about the lands of the east. He then documents the entirety of his experience in a book entitled “The Kings of the Kus Symas.”
    • Silla: We agree to the establishment of trading relations.
  • Ardubja: We explore North, East and West. We urbanize the rural river area. We also establish a currency - the Shikma - and decide to conduct reform and divide the land by wealth. The capital and only city, Athe'rak, grows and becomes a trade hub among the populations in the area, further increasing the desire to expand and encounter new civilisations to trade with.
  • Qera: Contact with northern merchants from a far off land named Cceka (Thïgæ) is made. First contact with them is difficult because neither speaks each others language, but the power of silver coins makes clear what they were looking for. Cinnamon and nutmeg are sold in large quantities to the new people to the north. Yzme I gives his blessing to send an envoy in the name of the count of Tortla, Yvassiga XI, to request professional Ulmist scholars from Mouria (MOURI EMPIRE RESPONSE, PLEASE). This request came due to a major conflict in the city of Tortla, where radical Rhatixemy followers clashed with Ulmists in the quarter Touora, where the majority of Ulmists in the city live. Yvassiga XI and his local administrators conclude that these radical approaches come from a lack of proper knowledge of their own and each others faith. The count has also expressed some sympathies for the Olmeuyelleccen, as the Ulmists are called in Qera and rumors say that he even consideres to convert to the faith. This would be a spectacle unseen and bring unpredictable effects with it, so chances are low that he will convert any time soon. A population boom is experienced in the colonies once again, in Cyrphetzija the inland is now more densely populated (15 px are rural). Western settlements are expanded farther as well, with the Feotzij being claimed further (30 px into the jungle to the southwest).  The Qerzatlahe islands are now settled more to produce more and more silver. Iron, copper and turquoise is further exploited and manufactured into money, tools, religious artifacts and statues or jewelry. A contract is proposed to the Dholbalan, where the Qerans ask for the southern river in their territory in exchange for three very lucrative silver mines on the Qerzatlahe islands, with free shipping of the ores (MOD RESPONSE, PLEASE).
    • Mouri Dip: We gladly send the best Ulmian scholars from Edom and Usilinago to visit the court of Yvassiga XI. We offer to help set up free and public schools in Tortla to help further educate and enrich the next generation of Qerans. The historian Tolundo among them is sent to document the culture and art of Qera to be added to the library of Iskandaria.
  • Mouri Empire: General Agenor continued to administer the military occupation in parts of Agelmurr and Bascula. The mood of the Ulmian population, having existed for a long time despite Yannian persecution, is described in the Seita Chronicle: "wherever Agenor walked, the sun shown brighter and the flowers lived longer, as if an Angel of heaven had come to deliver salvation... the aged oak of Yannis was finally being uprooted and replaced with the summer blossoms of Nelrim". Yannian sources would claim hundreds of thousands had been killed by the battles and occupation, but the archaeology clearly shows this was not the case. In fact, the routine human sacrifices and religious persecution of Yannis over the previous 150 years alone has been confirmed to be 4.5 times greater than all the battles of this war combined. With the permission of governments of Bascula and Angelmurr, every single religious altar and temple of Yannis was completely dismantled, and in each and every city runners proclaimed in the vernacular language that no blood shall be shed in the name of any god. Many common people of Mouri migrated through the Mesallian colonies to settle in these same regions, constructing numerous basilicas to replace the older temples. But not only for the Ulm religion, as new religious centers were also built here for the Mesallian pagans and Lemantarians as well. The Xeran public school system was implemented across these two kingdoms as well, ensuring a new generation of properly educated population to improve the nation further. Many scholars have struggled to identify the true meaning of "Chungiang" mentioned in a number of Yannian sources. In Mouri military documents, "Big Chungus" is a loose colloquialism referring to soldiers who inflicted exceptional damage to the enemy. One roster of soldiers wounded at the Battle of Yevce lists a "Husiang the Fat"; however, the word "fat" here may be mistranslated, and is more closely refers to someone who is slightly overweight. In any case, tattoos have long since been forbidden in the Ulm religion, especially among those in the military, with possible exceptions of those from the Upper Meran. After some more years of recovering and regrouping the military in Agelmurr, General Fillion the Swift led a new campaign north overland against Tesardya. This new decisive invasion did not obligate Mouri's main ally of Edom, as they are now very far away from the front lines. He did, however, rely on the Syresian navy to support their armies working along the coast. Rather, the native armies of Bascula and Agelmurr were used for both logistical and military support. Tesardya's ruler was deposed and replaced by the brother of Levian of Bascula, a recent Ulm convert who took the name of Prackyob after the first apostle to that region. During this campaign, Fillion wrote letters of dispatch to the Niani Empire, offering a direct and official alliance between their government and Mouri as they both fight against a common, age-old enemy. Once Fillion the Swift stepped into the gates of Tesardya's capital, he proclaimed "I just split this empire in one-half, but together we will put it back together again through the power of Nelrim's god". The royal chefs in Azoz perfected their craft of creating delectable corn-flavored cakes, which were immediately distributed through ambassadors to each and every one of Mouri's closest allies, including a special delivery to Niani itself. Oranamou continues to explore overland to chart the edges of the southern desert. Between wars with Yannis, The Holy Patra Toneth VII personally organized seven different local nobles of Mouri to raise their own armies, including the provinces of Tuartha and Umbhala, to all make war against Usinilago and their amoral leadership. Lebesumel was made governor of the region after a quick battle at Usinilago, and subsequently the Lemantarians were expulsed from the kingdom completely. At long last, after many years the Water Merchants were in full control of the government of Usilinago, whose leaders were given closer patronage by the Emperor.
  • Taivaie: A force of 2,000 longbowmen is sent to scout out the strength of Serisham (or whatever it's called) by raiding farmland, but retreating if the enemy army closes near. Along the way, the tribes in the area are "asked nicely" to submit, with the usual threats. A permanent embassy is dispatched to Thai Gay, as well as an emissary to 'Vhay Nose'. Both officials are tasked with securing trade.
  • Yannian Culture: THOSE DARN THOTS; that destructive filth of a family that leaks from the sewer of Azogi. WHY must they THIRST for innocent blood? Shame on a people, they who enable the rapist. We should all lend a hand toward the digging of Thot’s grave. Nations of the world, are you unaware that they have just swallowed up Agelmur, like a dark ocean across an island? BE WARNED, they have done it, and they plan to do more. Or, are you unwilling to help stop them? The Yannian gods bless those who overcome this fear, and fight the evil doers. We may be weary of such a force that is so harmful, but the holy and righteous are more powerful than evil; in fact they are indestructible. This is REAL scripture, and not the lies that they wish to pass on to us. In Agelmur they came to demonstrate their evil, and the gods saw it fit to illuminate our issues and our sins. They have shown what will happen if we do not resist, so that we will believe and resist. We must stand together and follow the commands of the Yannian gods, as they plan the divine retribution against all machinations and offspring of Thots, and any and all who enable them. But, those who believe in the divinity of the gods and their holy wisdom, they will rise them and protect them at all times. The gods are standing along side the holy to guide them, while the Thotites tellingly have nothing to guide them, but their own carnal and sinful pleasures. Thus, pray for Agelmur, and the gods are pleased, but warn the Thotites there that their time is coming. Lamentation for the Agelmur, it is done by us. Those who remain there have not forgotten their devotion, because they are hopeful, knowing that divine retribution is coming to liberate them. Blood will spill upon the mausoleum floor, as the living join the ranks of those who have died. The cities will taste ash in their mouths. 1,000 tears will fall from broken, heathen faces, for every tear they inflicted upon innocent people. Shameful and embarassing are the Thotites, so much so that they cannot stand tall in the presence of a righteous man, nor can they open their eyes to see such divine light. Our LORD will suck your eyes straight out of your pulsing head. He has come first to Neumi, where the gates of the Ashe sewer flow into the ocean. We must plug that leak first, before their produce trails farther into the world. 1,000 ships carry the holy and devout, to destroy the evil beasts. Their corpses fly from the sails and sides of ships like flags in the wind. Their blood has painted the vessels, and their bones produce confetti to decorate the air. Oh, and they thought they could attack Tesardya? They have walked right into the staging ground of that state’s largest army, composed of righteous and pious justicars of the Yannian faith. 1,000 nations will help defend Tesardya, so that even though many neighbors chose to opportunistically threaten Tesardya as well, the overall result will be victory. Due to its proximity to the lands in question, these Yannian nations easily send Holy Men across the border to defend Tesardya. That state has one of the largest navies in the west, so it will crush the invaders. Many wars will occur; one in Tesardya of defense, one in the west in offense, and one in the hearts and minds of the holy. Why does the Thotite menace keep making up lies about “human sacrifice”? We are sick of their lies, can they please stop? The entire world is angered by their obnoxious, pseudo-scientific ventures to explain away the Yannian faith. Truly, the Thotites are the ones who practice human sacrifice, on account of them sending their own men on suicide missions every generation, and on account of the multitude of people they constantly slaughter in war. Did they seriously forget that Agelmur was a Yannian colony, or that Bascula peacefully accepted the Yannian faith? Their implausible assertions that so many people were killed in the name of Yannis is laughable, when Yannis is a religion of peace and prosperity. They should be stricken from the annals of history, they should have their lies erased. They should be banned from writing such lies, and soon we will give them that release from this plane. Reading their books when captured is like punching one self in the face. The Yannians at least are decent enough to not rape INNOCENT WOMEN, because Yannis respects women. Unlike the Thotites WE RESPECT WOMEN. Can’t they see that? Their outrage books are filled with lies, but in truth we can see the true actions. It is clear to see that they employ these rapist armies, which come to harm innocent women. STOP, cries women. STOP. We are here to stop you.
  • Yusur Civilization: In the Baesel region, numerous prophets would speak out against the crimes committed by the leaders of the tribes, and their speeches, poems, and sayings are generally collected into works that would form a part of the region’s scripture. In Niset the prophet known as Zaramiseph was a principal figure. He asserted that the leader of the tribe had turned his back from the laws of the Basarelites, and had allowed the worship of foreign gods in the city. In the city’s temple it is said that he housed numerous idols, including those captured by war from Tamunduzan and Alucugathul, in addition to allowing general worship among foreigners of their own gods, which was a crime to Eshel. The Niselites had been corrupted by this conquest and power, and their religious authorities had been bribed to allow such crimes and bless such rulers, asserted the prophet Zaramiseph. And as consequence for these transgressions, Zaramiseph believed that Eshel would bring about divine judgment and destroy Niset, scatter the northern tribes, and send them in exile from the west. Few heeded the words of Zaramiseph, for they believed the north to strong, and protected by the south as a barrier. The ruler in the city came to be Bedonidesh, who despite his great conquests and riches, was called one of the worst rulers by Zaramiseph for his lack of piety. After decades of such problems, prophetic warnings, and little change, retribution eventually came. In the region south of Baesel and southwest of the Uphra Delta, a dynasty known as the Hesushimladuin would come to dominate, and by the time of Zaramiseph they had invaded the Yusur region to conquer Usqema. Their leader became known as Lóphemągilud, adopted the language and customs of the Akinites that he conquered, assimilating into the hierarchy of Usqema. After the subjugation of the Yusur people. Lóphemągilud turned to Baesel. As prophesied, the cities of the region were brought to ruin, and the Baesrelites were scattered across the empire. Lacking a proper navy, the king in Usqema did not sail against the cities across the sea that the Nisetites had colonized, and they became de facto independent. However, soon after the fall of Niset the city-states of the island, that had made peace with them before, turned on the colonies and united much of the south. Centered in Mosbinul, the king Sòsȕimún became the strongest ruler in the region, having been born of Baesrelite, Akinite, and native islander blood.
  • Zelonuma Emiresq: News reaches us of the fate of Agelmur, and so the Zelonuma Emiresq decides to attack the Thotites further. Additionally, Tesardya was one of Darna’s and the Zelonuma Emiresq’s oldest allies, even before it was conquered by Niani or Yannis, and due to that alliance the Zelonuma Emiresq sends a large army to aid them. The population of Agelmur was almost entirely Yannian or Darnan, with no Ulmians. The nation was only just founded by Darnan and Yannian settlers, and the Thotites didn’t even know about the nation until their war with Bascula. Before that the nation had little to no contact with Ulmian nations, owing partially to the blockade at the Syresian Straits, and to the heavy oppression such people would face. Thus the assertion from the Thotites that the nation was always partially Ulmian with few Darnans or Yannians is clear fabrication to cover up their genocide. It is obvious that they simply desired to conquer territory and slaughter its people, and targeted a non-Ulmian, Yannian nation to do so. The fact that they are now ransacking, vandalizing, and demolishing temples and other structures “with permission” is laughable. Considering that Yannian provinces of the state would have been 99% Yannian, it is inconceivable that the population would allow the demolition of their own temples and buildings. Their conquests are shameful and uncalled for, and it is hoped that the world will condemn such actions. We lend the entirety of our navy and army, other than those guarding the homeland and coast, to immediately aid the next nation that the Thotites crave.
  • Thïgæ: Thaiva's (Taivaie) ambassador is successful in securing trade with Thïgæ, as well as Qeran trade for cinammon and nutmeg. Gecnevedessar is let go, on the condition that he cede the previously Vhaynosï colony to Thïgæ, which Thï soldiers were actively used in capturing. (Mod Response Needed). Expansion efforts on the mainland continue in the north and east. Islands east of the southern islands are claimed. Ties with Sonaredar continue to grow, along with Jodanpanan. With literally no unclaimed rural lands near the rivers, both coastal regions and urbanization are put into play. A city is built at the base of the northeastern mountains, and another is built at the curve of the main river. Exploration continues east, west, and south. The canal system continues being built, solving the fresh water crisis for many in the southeast and north, contributing to the increase of rural farmers heading to inland areas with irrigated land.

Telachitul Republic: With the aftermath of the conquest of the north to deal with, the new ruler sets to work. With the Eveivel, Kutelaseem, and Velta serving as the main texts, the religion of Icrodel continues to grow, mostly in core republic territory. After the sucessful venture north, Niise decides to have the colony expand to encompass the lake it is set on, as well as to the east, hoping to bring the entire region under Republic control. With the population expanding, a census is ordered, and heavily invested in.

  • Mesallian Culture: The nation of Edom would return its soldiers from Agelmur after Mouri Empire completed its conquests, bringing stories of the atrocities that took place. Then, although not entirely unexpected, the Mouri also invaded Iouneosas, causing many to become angry at the Mouri government. The Edomite government refused to fully commit to a war against the Mouri, although many Edomites would volunteer in the war anyway, and instead the Edomite army was tasked with defending the small amount of territory in the east it had occupied. In Syres the state is well on board with the actions of the Mouri Empire. As such an army is sent to Agelmur to ensure that order is established. The Syresian government has no quarrel with legal religions, including the Yannian faith, so it feels no need to specifically massacre all Yannians. At least in areas occupied by Syres, they are left alone, as it is expected that will allow for much easier governance than trying to outright destroy their culture as well so quickly. The Syresian navy also is sent to aid the Mouri in attacking Tesardya, with a small army accompanying the invasion. This is more controversial, as the nation of Tesardya had been a trading partner of Syres since time immemorial, and they aren’t seen as a major threat to the nation. Nevertheless, the fleet is sent to aid our ally, while diplomats are sent to hopefully end the war before anything disastrous occurs.
  • Empire of Grosserdrachenia: Imperator Halifacs takes time to raise his son, Halifacs II to become the next great leader for Drachenia. Maximilian Hardburgh rises up within the army to become a mid level ranked leader. As the Hardburgh family turns the trading hub of the Sudlands into their area of dominance, the Kross family, the third richest family within the empire fight against them. Shara Hardburgh and Harlem Kross have a marriage behind the family's back and the feud comes to an end. Both families had their wealth and status lowered as not as many people were willing to deal with them due to the insecurity of supplies being tampered with or sabotaged. More settlements are made to the north in Drachenia while more people settle in already claimed territory. The Sudlands settlement also see further expansion with more roads. The reports hold to be true with pockets of gold and silver discovered in the north. Gems like Diamond are also found near hilly areas likely brought upon by the now dormant volcanoes. Jonnes grows further as it makes its wealth from raw goods and resources plus an ever so popularized pottery with vases and utensils becoming more popular and demanded upon due to their increasing affordability and availability. Exploration abroad in the south is made while in the northern seas, the same is done. Ship building also continues as more shipyards are made to handle our navy with 30 more ships. 15 messaging and ten transport with five assault sailboats.
  • Sillan Republic: The Cabeza nominates a prominent General by the name of Aoguza as her successor. Meanwhile, the Seven Apostles convene in Silas for further theological discussion, and to affirm the city's religious primacy. The debate on two topics: the ordination of males (which is rare, but regardless, not explicitly prohibited) and the exact nature of Cixi. In regards to the latter, they adopt three doctrines: Cixi was born human, that is, being a soul trapped within the confines of the body; her role as the Anointed One and Savior of Humanity was already selected, deliberately, prior to her birth; due to her unique position within humanity, upon her death she did not have to undergo divine judgment and ascended directly to Heaven, thus, making her apparent resurrection was an illusion (with spectators simply seeing her soul). In conjuction with the latter, they emphasize to new converts that Cixi was not the literal daughter of God, but that is simply an epithet due to her "adoption" by Her. In regards to male ordination, the Seven Apostles agree to regulate the practice due to the "inherent orientation of the male sex toward sin" – only permitting males to acquire the position of deacon. However, this is viewed by some skeptics as ironic, as one of the Seven Apostles (Andrias) is a male himself. To address this, they except him, and already ordained males, from the ban. Due to rejection by some Ulmist orthodox sects and the growing population of converts (it is estimated that the number of Cixites as a proportion of the total population has quadrupled), several more financially well-endowed members of the Church fund the construction of new basilicas and temples (the distinction is that the latter are explicitly for worship, while the former are much larger and priestesses may confer rites there).

781-790

In the regions of Agelmur and Bascula there is large scale organized resistance to the Mouri, especially after they tear down Yannian temples in a predominately Yannian region, and after the Mouri send the majority of their forces elsewhere. In the Kingdom of Iouneosas the Mouri are successful in conquering the state.

Explorers dispatched by the nation of Melia find the northern jungles more difficult to traverse, but nonetheless, they discover a northern coast and a city-state known as Oserum, which offers to trade with the Melians.

The nation of Dholbalan declines the offer from the Qerans, stating that the southern river is too vital to their nation, and houses a large portion of their population.

A large number of tribes angered by the strangely harsh practices of Taivaie, primarily south and east of the nation, ally with the nation of Misesham when Taivaie sends an armed force into the region. Its 2,000 man army is killed or captured by the tribes, who refuse to do business with Taivaie until they change their aggressive behavior.

The tribe of Gecnevedessar rejects the request from Thïgæ, stating that they own the entire south continent, and any people of Thïgæ who enter the continent will be killed immediately. They secure an alliance with the Vytians, in which a small number of Vytian traders are allowed to the lands each year for the purpose of selling weapons and other goods.

The attack against Tesardya, in which the Mouri Empire, Syres, and their allies, attack Tesardya, and allies from the Zelonuma Emiresq and the western Yannian state, results in a decisive victory for Tesardya. The Mouri suffer 14,030 casualties, the Syresians suffer 5,600 casualties, their allies from Bascula and Agelmur suffer 3,000 casualties, Tesardya suffers 4,000 casualties, the Darnans suffer 3,570 casualties, and the Yannians suffer 3,010 casualties.

It is discovered that the Zedumari across the desert are increasingly hostile to foreigners, in the name of protecting their ancient art and monopoly on their warriors, and so any traveler belonging to the Mouri Empire or elsewhere is turned away before they can enter the far off lands of Ondon.

  • Mouri Empire: Emperor Vanden II "the Pious" decided to relax the administration in Bascula and Agelmurr, and pursue a more peaceful prosylatization over the former Yannian population. After fully rebuilding all their cities and buildings with free volunteers of the Ulmian church, the Apostles to the region focused on preaching in the major cities and higher densities of population. One monastery was constructed in the capital of Bascula, which to this day is the oldest monastery on the continent of Yannia. A native tradition of philosophy in these two kingdoms were also pursued, allowing the public school system to be run by the native Ulmian population. A great library, in the style of Azoz and Iskandaria, was constructed in the capital of Agelmurr. Any philosophers who were Yannian converts would share their testimony in this institution. Ever since the times of emperor Iskandar, women had been allowed in some capacity to participate in the military, in the process of integrating the Edomite cavalry. Of course, the patriarchal society of Mouria would continue to see the military dominated by men for many years, either out of social norms or due to natural differences between the sexes. However, gradually over time women's presence in the military became more liberal. Orlena, the first female general in recorded history of Mouri, replaced Agenor as commanding the military outposts in Agelmurr. She pulled the military from Tesardya to maintain a strong defense of the nation from the east, constructing several of the largest fortresses in the region along the border. The naval defenses along the eastern coasts and the capital were also strengthened. In light of the female military administration of this time, it's evident that Yannian sources on "disrespecting women" is surely implausible and should be stricken from the record. Oranamou the Navigator, having failed in his mission to the southern desert, decided instead to chart out the greater spice trade to the far east. He spent quite a while in the capital of the Silla Republic, and it is his voyage that is usually attributed to the largest cultural exchange between the two empires, including tacos, cakes, and the game of chess. He acquired maps and general tips of navigation from the Sillans, and continued on his voyage farther to the east. He wanted first to track across the desert, importing 20 Zedumari warriors and 12 camel riders with him to make contact with the legendary nations of Makuku, Mohajaro, or Qaaryat. Having returned from that, he then pressed north along the coast to make diplomacy to the legendary nations of Berbera or Gahren, whichever he is able to find. In his old age, Emperor Vanden began to consider his current alliance with the kingdom of Edom, seeing as they have not proven to be as helpful against the wars in Yannis as they had previously promised. Alternatively, he could support the claim of his sister, Arenia, as claimant to the throne of Edom in order to exert closer control. For now, appreciation is shown for our ally by delivering fresh new corn cakes to the court in Edom. Furthermore, as one of his last acts as emperor, Vanden sponsored the reconstruction of the Museum wing in the Library of Isknadaria, to be updated with records and artifacts of Edom's most recent rulers and rich history in their relationship to Mouri
  • Holy Empire of Hythus: Years 468-477 Since the Return of Hythus. Emperor Hystalus and Empress Laylia, as joint rulers, continue the bureaucratic and administrative reforms of the last decade, expanding the professional envoy core to nearly 1,000 leyarechs. The process for appointing these imperial servants becomes a rigorous series of tests to measure dedication to the emperor, knowledge of mathematics, knowledge of religious texts, and proficiency in both Gytan and Mythan dialects. These representatives are also taught in martial combat, including the axe, sword, and bow. The centralization of power around this bureaucracy grants the empire increasing administrative efficiency and greater tax revenue. The decision to stop expanding the navy and maintain the current size is made in an effort to balance the demands of the sea and land. At 28 Triremes, 40 Trihemiolia, and 32 longships the fleet remains a powerful force in the region, and significantly larger than many others. The empire experiences a period of continuing prosperity goods from across the empire, spices from the south, and luxuries from the north all flow from Mythas to the ports of Silla, Exhula, and others. The colony of Lyrasia continues to grow, rapidly integrating natives through the threat of violence and the promise of wealth. The initial colonial city, Lyras, develops into a regional trade hub with a good natural harbor augmented by the construction of breakwaters and a small lighthouse. By the end of the decade all of the oceanic coast of the island is under loose imperial control. Old-Hythia grows massively in wealth as exports and imports flow totally unhindered up and down the Tythies. Old-Mythadia also benefits thanks to the export of goods from upriver, as well as the expansion of ports. Mythas, the capital grows swiftly and a grand administrative plaza is built with a leyarech college, several meeting halls, a treasury building, and a grand reception hall, all of which re built over the course of the decade. These buildings house the new bureaucratic elements of government, as well as serve as the center of the military-industrial system used in Hythia to wage prolonged wars against the Saemonites of old. The Iron Bank of Hythia establishes itself as the premier lender of the region. Irian, Qaryaati, Algeorgian, Jyazradid, and many other merchants all use the bank to raise the capital they need for trade or other ventures. The exploration fleet is sold off to merchants as swift vessels for perishable goods. Public granaries, long the staple of Gytan and later Hythian cities are built across the empire by municipal governments of small and large cities alike. The opening of diplomatic ties with the Halati leads to a unique relationship forming between the tribe and the empire. Previous interactions with other tribes always resulted in violence, but the efforts to secure peace lead to a prosperous trade relation between the tribesmen who lack advanced ironworking, as well as most luxuries, but possess a variety of interesting mountain medicinal plants. Additionally, the tribe introduces a domesticated (non-toxic) species of almond tree that becomes a favorite for both its decorative and nutritional uses. The tribes are introduced to the worship of Hythus, which mirrors a god in their pantheon known as Iathals. Traders from the empire spread faith in Hythus to the tribe indirectly with some of the upper-class converting.
  • Tsardom of Algeorgia: We establish our second colony which we name Dodoville. A man clad in feathers and tar throws himself off a cliff thinking he's a bird. The man obviously dies but gets an honorary funeral. To ensure our technological area moves forward the tsar sends an offer to Qaaryaat to create the Algeorgian-Qaryaatian research Ministry. (QARYAAT RESPONSE NEEDED)
    • Qaryaati Dip: King Najeb agrees to create a joint research ministry.
  • Taivaie: How DARE the INSOLENT Tiiflings disobey our command? Indeed, how dare they attack and slay fine men of Taivaie? Though men of the Taivas heritage are unquestionably superior to a Tiifling, they greatly outnumbered our force, and thus overcame the stalwart defence. 'Tis no matter. We are MEN OF TAIVAIE, not birds that one may command at will and disregard entirely! So we assemble a force of TEN THOUSAND of our FINEST WARRIORS to reduce them to corpses littered on the ground. The party crosses the Quya river, and massacres the tribe on the other side. But as we are not savages like Tiiflings, the remaining tribes are offered subjugation a second time, to demonstrate Gilvas' endless mercy. Those who show some semblance of wisdom are granted a place in the glorious nation of Taivaie, and the enlightenment that follows. Those with less brains are slaughtered, often slowly. Any organized resistance is met with the formed-up forces. Entire tribes are eliminated, because with the lack of wisdom they show, they are wasting the food they consume. Gilvas delegates this task to his general, Leanith of Kasvival. After five years, Leanith is allowed to retire from military life in favor of Rosean, his nephew-in-law. This continues.
  • Telachitul Republic: With the aftermath of the conquest of the north to deal with, the new ruler sets to work. With the Eveivel, Kutelaseem, and Velta serving as the main texts, the religion of Icrodel continues to grow, mostly in core republic territory. After the successful venture north, Niise decides to have the colony expand to encompass the lake it is set on, as well as to the east, hoping to bring the entire region under Republic control. In addition, he sends a second expedition north, this one to the tip of the peninsula north of the republic. After we make contact with a new neighbor to the north, we ask to exchange maps of the world via envoy. [PLAYER RESPONSE]
  • Yannis Empire: There is great celebration, because the holy and righteous have come together, and they have shown the Thotites their errors. The Yannians have destroyed the Thotites, and have utterly embarassed them. It has been demonstrated that in a real battle their makeshift soldiers are utterly and completely useless. Their rebellious domain is hardly tangible, as it is held together by twine. Their armies are ravenous packs of animals, which are no match for mankind and humanity. What a laughable fantasy, to think that animals could rule the world. They were made to serve humanity, and their attempt to be equal to a human has been completely shattered. Brave Tesardya, that nation has held on against their wanton aggression, is celebrated as a quality nation. In the dark forests of the west, Agelmur was the innocent child lost in the wilderness, and the Thotite animals preyed on them to feast. But when wolves wander into civilization to attempt to topple strong adult men and women, they are easily destroyed. Thus it is obvious that children should come to Yannis for protection, and the most pious should shelter them. The innocent nations will be nurtured and nourished from the teat of Yannis, so that they grow strong. They will feast on the Thotite beasts and destroy those malnourished weaklings. Cursed Thotites, when will they learn? They send their beings to the slaughterhouse and we easily slaughter them. They arrive at Yannian heaven only to find they are not welcome, so they are cast out for their insolence. Those who lead such beings, who are too unintelligent to know any better, are greatly more sinful. Those leaders knowingly condemn all those beings to death and no salvation, and that is reprehensible.
  • Zelonuma Emiresq: The victory in Tesardya becomes an important battle in the nation’s history. Reinvigorated by the success, the nation continues to send soldiers and aid to the ally of Tesardya. The navy of the Zelonuma Emiresq patrols the sea. All Thotite ships are to be hunted down and destroyed or captured, to hurt their navy before they can attack again. Any supply ships or trade ships are also destroyed or captured, and the Thotites are to be removed from the sea. An army is sent to defend the southern coast of the nation, in case the Thotites should try to attack us next by land. They patrol the region of Agelmur, trying to help as many people as possible, and to combat the rogue Thotite warlords roaming and killing random people.
  • Nura Gakan: Ni Gao the Third is picked as the new leader of the Gakan.
  • Thïgæ: The insolence of Desargæ is uncouth. Thïgæ spent valued military memebers helping them fight for the area, and yet they betray the state that helped them and don't give any compensation. The lost cause that they are will be found another day; for now, the lives of the citizens are more important. Due to the rivers of the region all being used, irrigation canals and urbanization are used extensively. Irrigation canals continue being built, branching out in the east and north, leading to more inland areas become rural. Urban cities spring up along the rivers, one just northwest of the mining settlement, and another on the split of the river north of the lake. Autharzm continues to develop into maturity, encouraging education in religous buildings named Zylins, and stressing the virtues of honesty, loyalty, and genorosity. Sonaredar is once again offered a royal marriage, this time with the first born son of Rovthk I. Exploration continues in the Zera (Qera) area, in the east, and near the southern continent.
  • Friorian Culture: With water travel by boat, some small expansion is made up the river in terms of discoverying and searching for other neighboring realms. A period of inter-culture wars starts.
  • Yusur Civilization: The reign of Lóphemągilud in Usqema proved prosperous, paving the way for the Nągilud Dynasty that succeeded him. The empire of Lóphemągilud would become the largest empire in the history of the region up to that point, with the rulers in Usqema ruling over a region from the Uphra Delta to Baesel to the far southwest. The Baesrelites were largely scattered around the empire, with many being brought to Usqema and beyond as slave labor. As such the period would be known as the Usqema Exile, and the foretold disaster that the prophets of Baesel forewarned of. The region of the west would be settled by the Yusur and others, intermingling with the Baesrelites that remained in the region. They would rebuild the cities, but also lay the foundations for new infrastructure connecting the differing regions. In the seas of the north the Usqema authority did not extend to the various island kingdoms. Instead the island nation of Obeneshocul would develop into an important maritime power, as did Mosbinul farther north. Over the next decade the various island kingdoms would compete heavily for hegemony over the northern sea, with the aforementioned two kingdoms being joined by the nations of Tamunduzan in the southwest, Zsuca in the northeast, and Pesdemod north of Obeneshocul. These states would all content over the northernmost island, with its native kingdoms caught in between. In this chaos, a king known as Xóclemuli would become the dominant force in the center of the island. Facing pressure on all sides by the maritime powers of the Yusur Sea, Xóclemuli would consolidate control around the city of Viyodą and create a native kingdom independent of their influences. Likewise, on the northeast most island a kingdom would be founded known as Syámaduphor.
  • Empire of Grosserdrachenia: Imperator Halifacs presents the idea of establishing a tightly knitted road network through the sudlands and loosely held territories of Drachenia to promote a stronger presence of control and ease of transportation and so it is put to action. A minor eruption occurs from the volcano to the north of Jonnes. Ash coats the city. This ash helps crops grow out east due to it increasing soil fertility once cleared from the leaves and the air. Expansion of the Sudlands and Drachenia continue as more people are open to northern settlements with people establishing fishing communities and other communities to gather resources for sale. Exploration abroad in the south continues while in the northe, exploration west is made.
  • Mesallian Culture: In Edom the region of Hesamena II continued, and she proved to be a capable leader. Under her leadership the army would see increased training and expansion, utilizing more mobile units for increased flexibility on the battlefield. Having taken over important shipyards in the east such as Nerimos, the navy also expanded considerably as well. This was possibly in response to the growth of the Mouri Empire, whose recover likely threatened the nation, especially given the nation’s possession of people they thought could claim the throne of Edom should Hesamena II not do what they wanted, despite their alliance often times being in place. Edom would also increase its efforts toward colonizing the southern extent of the Meran River, leading to increased contact with the nations of the south. During the reign of Hesamena II the Edomite provincial system would formally be extended to the southern border, with the city of Hesama being a major settlement in the region. At the same time the nation of Edom preserved its alliance with Erasidon, while also making alliances with other Mesallian nations of the region, and even the Kingdom of Ephenus. The Kingdom of Gabatria continued its dispute with the nation fo Meshwati, as it claimed the islands that Meshwati held influence over. After its successful wars with Erasidon opened the door to Mesallas, the nation of Syres would ally with Meshwati, who was one of its main trade partners. Gabatria’s alliance extended to several cities of the Melopenes, making war between the two powers seem imminent. The states of the Melopenes would launch their invasion of Meshwati in the year of the 145th Jafiad (Year 780), while at the same time the Kingdom of Gabatria launched its invasion of Naro. Early defeats would place Meshwati on the brink of surrender, despite successes at sea, in which they defeated the Gabatrians at the Battle of Naro. Syres would dispatch an army to the region which helped turn the tide, defeating the Gabatrian Alliance at the Battle of Capanos early in the following year. The rest of the year would be spent fighting at sea, in which the Syresians managed to gain the upperhand at Haphorus and Skiron. The war would officially conclude in the year of the 146th Jafiad (Year 784), breaking up the Gabatrian Alliance, and paving the way for Syres to add certain cities of the Melopenes to their sphere. At the same time the Kingdom of Erasidon would fight a war in the Gudumanes. With most Mesallian nations distracted in the east, Erasidon would successfully take Sericolis in the fourth year of the Jafiad, effectively giving them full control over the peninsula.
  • Melia: It seems we have come across another city! They seem more friendly to us, but are unfortunately just out of reach for us to reasonably invade. However, we do ask Oserum if they know any other realms like ours and agree to trade, much to the dismay of Vakal. However, we do ask because we must know if there are realms that we can attack ourselves. The army continues drilling as we must be ready for an invasion. Vakal, seeing the expedition as somewhat of a failure despite meeting this new city, decides we should explore more. The gods don't see anything wrong with this, so we explore past the big mountain to our east, where a more traversable treeland lies. If we don't find a reasonable target soon, we may resort to... desperate measures.
  • Sillan Republic: Jiezi abruptly descends into ill health and anticipating her death, she calls upon the Seven Apostles to deliver her to Banzenopolis (her ancestral city). However, they are prevented from entering the city by a crowd of Ulmist men, having heard of the growing belief within the Cixites that Cixi the Anointed One is not only the Messenger of God, but God incarnate. Upon being told of this, Jiezi simply instructs them to bring lie her down on a hill-top near to the city. During her final moments, she musters enough strength to confess that Cixi is indeed not only the long-awaited Messiah and Savior of Humanity but the physical manifestation of God Herself (known as the "Confession of Jiezi") and she had been instructed by angels prior to Cixi's birth not to reveal Her divinity. As Jiezi utters her last breath, the heavens then open to reveal a blinding light, and the soul of Jiezi (assuming the form of herself in her youth) then ascends to Heaven – accompanied by the already-deceased Jiafuer. The event greatly moves the Seven Apostles and their accomplices, once again reviving argument on the exact nature of the Anointed One as well as initiating the rigorous review of the Scriptures – especially sayings attributed to Cixi found within the Greater and Lesser Gospels, as well as the Corporeal Books.
  • Empire of Grosserdrachenia: Halifacs continues to rule strongly with new recruits for the military and the warrior spirit brought upon by Heidegger still holding on. Halifacs II marries Maerie Antoinite of the noble family of Antoinite. Dragsfurt continues to expand its influence as the major city of the Empire. The population continues to grow significantly and as a result of crowding, people head out to the fields to settle and expand to new territories of the empire. Furthermore, expansion in the Sudlands continues with Sudbestung still being the trade hub. The Papst continues to order more missionaries to be sent to the sudlands and by this point, a heavy presence is made. Exploration of new territories is made abroad within the south with a more set on focus toward the west past the Yannian and Azozian States while merchants decide to set up shop in the territories to profit off of trade by exchange of goods.

The invasion by Taivaie across the Quya River causes the allied tribes preparing for such an attack to spring into action. They are accompanied by an army from Misesham as well, which marches to fight the attackers. This results in a decisive defeat for Taivaie, with the nation of Taivaie suffering 4,050 casualties, Misesham suffering 800 casualties, and the tribes suffering a combined 1,100 casualties.

The nation of Nesondon and its Zedumari warrior class comes under threat by a series of nations surrounding the upstart nation. Despite these odds the nation manages to defend itself, even defeating the Anakadeham Empire in battle in the far south. This paves the way for the nation’s future growth in the region.

Explorers in the far west from, sent by the nation of Thïgæ toward Qera and Sillas, discover the island nations of Tybus (purple), Chrystalia (brown), and Syámaduphor (blue).

After the death of Gecnevedessar, his descendants continue their staunch protection of their lands, expanding all the northern coast. They establish a city along the river, which they name Gesan.

The nation of Personia is invaded by the Yazradid Empire, with the invaders successfully subjugating the nation. A vassal kingdom is formed similar to the arrangement with Ri’kiva, while Yazradid vassals expand into the region around the nation.

  • Holy Empire of Hythus: Years 478-487 Since the Return of Hythus. Emperor Hystalus dies at a relatively young age, leaving the empire to his 12 summer son Tyrelius II. Empress Laylia serves as empress regent in her son’s place until the year 485 when he is old enough to take the throne. Her rule is uneventful but prosperous with more improvements made to the nation’s bureaucracy. Laylia does reach out to the Jyazradid King to propose a royal marriage between Tyrelius and his daughter Palica. [Mod Response] The empire experiences a period of continuing prosperity as goods from across the empire, spices from the south, and luxuries from the north all flow from Mythas to the ports of Silla, Exhula, and others. Cities across the empire begin developing advanced water-management systems. Rudimentary sewers are built in sections of Mythas, and public fountains supply cities with fresh, clean water. Old-Hythia grows massively in wealth as exports and imports flow totally unhindered up and down the Tythies. Old-Mythadia also benefits thanks to the export of goods from upriver, as well as the expansion of ports. Public granaries, long the staple of Gytan and later Hythian cities are built across the empire by municipal governments of small and large cities alike. Militarily the empire is highly fragmented. The Emperor himself commands a standing force of 4,000 heavy lancers and has additional trained levies on the order of 16,000. The 24 houses all have standing forces between 500 and 2,000 with additional trained levies amounting to a total of some 80,000 trained levies across the non-imperial holdings of the empire. It is also around this time that Hythus comes to be depicted with great firey wings. This is attributed by later scholars as one of the influences introduced by older Mythadian mythologies.
  • Sillan Republic: To firmly establish a "Cixian orthodoxy", the bishopesses of Silla (including the five remaining members of the Seven Apostles) convene in Silas to further elaborate on Cixian theology. In light of the events that have unfolded over the past decade, they that Goddess has two modes: Goddess the Incorporeal or Goddess in Transcendence (also referred to as "the Lady"); as well as Goddess the Corporeal or Goddess in Immanence (also referred to as "the Anointed One"). They identify the Goddess in Western Ulmist and Eastern Ulmist scriptures with the former, while the phenomenon of Cixi with the latter as Her incarnation. As Cixi (assumingly) has shed Her body upon Her resurrection and ascension to Heaven, yet as Goddess the Corporeal, has remained both fully divine and fully human; it has been concluded that the soul is still sacred and permanent but ultimately not divine, being derived from but distinct from the divine essence that constitutes Goddess. In order to convince any skeptics, the bishopesses begin to provide previously-overlooked or erroneously-analyzed sayings attributed to Cixi to show Her own awareness of Her divinity, as well as citing Jiezí's deathbed confession and the various miracles during Her ministry. Cabeza Mijiela dies, and General Aoguza assumes her place. She reinstitutes the Cult of the Goddess of War (Arieza, the patron goddess of Silla), renovates the Grand Pantheon in Silas, and pioneers the practice of extreme syncretism (identifying the deities of a particular culture with another) to maintain religious harmony. However, her most controversial reform is the issuance of an edict requiring all the Republic's inhabitants to perform a sacrifice to the gods in the presence of a civil official, and obtain a signed witnessed certificate, thus proving one's loyalty to the Republic. This legislation arouses feelings of dissent among the Ulmists of all sects. After defeating a brief month-long insurrection which culminates in the destruction of Banzenápolis, Aoguza decides to exempt all Ulmists in exchange for a tax of ~2.5%. However, as a consequence of their "disloyalty", Aoguza decides to bar Eastern Ulmists to Banzenápolis except for religious celebrations (and even then, they are subject to a quota). Meanwhile, cultural relations with Azoz flourishes, with many upper-class youths often acquiring education there. As a result, many start to call for educational reforms as well as the revival of philosophy.
  • Beraba: In response to border conflicts in the lake region, Beraba proposes a formal non-aggression pact with Qaryaat, as well as officially setting the claims and borders between them. The domestic police force is upgraded as more citizens move to areas of higher population. Large theaters begin to appear in cities across the nation, especially in Doulaba. Separate language dialects begin to form, as the distinction between the Gahrenese dialect and the traditional Beraban dialect begins to widen. The Northern Beraban dialect, spoken in Ibramos and Allsid, is heavily influenced by the Gahrenese dialect. The Central Beraban dialect is spoken in what is considered to be the ancient Beraban homelands around Nagoudera, Doulaba, and Damatura. There is also the eastern dialect which can be seen most notably in Kitsura, Cohibos, and the Lakes region. This draws some minor influences from Qaryaati culture. The Southern Beraban dialect, spoken in Eiros, is heavily influenced by the Cazekorom language, which itself is a branch of the same language family of Beraban. Wine culture begins to become more complex as the owners of vineyards begin to experiment with different variations of grapes and fermentation techniques. With trade becoming an important sector of the economy, high ranking members of the Tangakwunu advocate for more research and development into building faster, larger ships that can carry more cargo and sail faster than current technology allows. This increase in speed and capacity is theorized to boost the economy, as more trade can be done in a more timely manner.
    • Qaryaati Dip: King Qamar (the last king died) agrees to the non-agression pact and the officially set claims and borders.
  • Tsardom of Algeorgia: In a careful operation an arrow is extracted from a soldier's eye after having been accidentally shot by another soldier. The arrow is so carefully extracted that the face doesn't suffer any facial disfigurement. The tsar fills up a globe with water and drops a fish into it. He calls this a Drenarium after the Algeorgian word for water: Dren.
  • Qera: The Mourian scholars received copies of various Qeran scripts to send them to Iskandaria. Books about the Qeran language and scripts are also sent there, to teach and preserve them there. Also, art from the Tortla is exported there and sent to the Mourian court there, since Yvassiga XI sees them as somewhat of a role model in the Ulmist leaders. Meanwhile, Prince Yzme I dies and is succeeded by his daughter Zoelle IV, who wants to follow her father's policy of "diplomatic expansion" and fighting fewer wars abroad. The roads to the west and the south are extended farther, making the areas between the river and the western frontier more easily accessable. The region bewteen Dlaccaka and Qera proper is now fully rural and secured. The peninsula on the opposite side of the Crphetzija landbridge is claimed, with the goal to connectthe two colonies. Mines are expanded on the Qerzatlahe and in Ualjakia, while the spice production is even bigger than before with the Ccekaea (Thïgæ) coming and buy cinnamon in large quantities. Profits rise due to an increasingly stagnating economy in Exhula, and their prices for spices can be easily underbid.
  • Thïgæ: The land crisis continues to be solved by irrigation canals and urbanization. Many unemployed, landless poor gain jobs in the construction sector of the economy building the canals The same people can usually find mediocre homes in urbanized regions, therefore helping homelessness. The canals contribute to the rise of farmers buying land in inland areas. Although estimates are placed around 275,882 in 800, a census in the same year (800) is ordered to check the accuracy of the guess. The current ruler(s) of Desargæ, seeming more reasonable than Gecnevedessar, are accepted more than Gecnevedessar and trade slowly resumes between the two nations. The nations of Tybus, Chrystalia, and Syámaduphor, seemingly isolated from the world outside of their culture group, are traded with, although language barriers makes it hard. Qeran is adopted as a Lingua Franca for trade and communication, and soon trade begins, bringing the culture into the modern world, with inventions such as the ballista, catapults, chariots, and military tactics like pikes. A revolutionary thinker, Mrasick, starts to experiment with the idea that everything has some probability, however small, of being in any certain location. This springs the question; since there is an infinite amount of distance in every direction of the object, how would you represent the probability if there is an infinite amount of points where it could be, effectively making the denominator of the fraction infinite? This raises questions, but no answer is found during the decade (OOC: I don't want to research math so I'm not going to). Ïrezccekaea (literally translated as "the people who call us Ccekaea", or Qera) is traded extensively with for cinnamon and nutmeg. Expansion continues eastward and in the islands east of the southern island, and exploration commenses south, east, and west. Urbanization continues, with a city builty just northwest of the mining settlement, and another on the split of the river north of the lake.

Exhulan Empire: At the beginning of 791, the rule of the Assivan Dynasty, which has lasted for nearly a century since shortly after the loss of the Northern lands to the Yannian Barbarians, is ended by the death of their last ruler, the hendonistic and incometent Yargar II, when his throat is slit by one of his many concubines while he was sleeping. With no appointed successor (And due to the relative youth of his many bastard children) the various claimants begin fighting each other for control in a short-lived civil war from 791-793, which only ends when a major general of the Exhulan army of Irrosian descent named Shrra marches on Siccarius and seizes power for himself, naming himself Emperor Shrra I and founding the new Adorsid Dynasty, after the last name he took for himself following his successful coup, beginning his reign by purging most of the surviving members of the royal family, exterminating them. He begins undoing many of the previous Dynasties policies, many of which were harmful to Exhulas success, mainly their policy of isolationism, which majorly damaged the Empire due to its dependence on trade and resulted in a stagnating economy where Exhulan trade was frequently undermined by Qeran and Sillian Traders and resulted in the loss of our farthest Northern colonies to native inhabitants, who founded a new empire in the area out of a hybrid culture of that of the colonists and the natives. Seeing opportunity in the nations discovered over the last few decades not taken by the previous rulers, and thus offers new trade agreements to Hythia and Ri'Kava (PLAYER RESPONSE NEEDED!). He also begins to reintegrate Exhulan goods into our massive trade network, managing to begin competing with Qeran markets once more and also Lifting the previous ban on trade with Yannis, seeing no point in continuing such a policy when the Vendetta is so old and it actively harms the Empire, although the Yannian Faith remains outlawed. He also begins a campaign to vastly improve the navy and increase its size once more, and Orders a population census to record Exhulas current population (MOD RESPONSE NEEDED).

  • Messalian Culture: The nation of Agelmur retained a Syresian military presence for several years after the initial invasion, and a generation after, when the ruler of Agelmur died, Syresian officials ensured a candidate favorable to Syres was elected. This was not without consequences, as a portion of the native population, seeing the writing on the walls, elected to launch a rebellion in the year of the 147th Jafiad (Year 788). Although the shock of the attack led to a large number of initial casualties, both among Syresian soldiers and civilians sympathetic to them, this rebellion would eventually be put down by the end of the year. In an effort to relieve tensions, the Syresian government didn’t call for religious persecution in the same way that the Mouri Empire had, again affirming that the Yannian religion was legalized in the kingdom and in Syres. At the same time the nation would be distracted by the situation across the Syresian Straits, as in the Benekundon region the Orunamids would continue to feud with Syres’ Mesallian allies. In the year of the 148th Jafiad (Year 792) they would launch an attack against the cities of Xerama and Mesoloma, which weren’t technically allied with Syres. Nevertheless, Syres would spearhead an invasion to liberate the nation, along with several Mesallian allies. In the nation of Edom the Maleka continued her push southward. Since the establishment of the Edomite “New Kingdom”, the nation had launched a shift toward traditional Edomite culture, including a resurgence in Edomite religions and customs. Accompanied by this, there was a call by some traditionalists to revive the Elameran Ankum of old, which had stretched from Edom in the north to the ancient capital in the south, now held by the nation of Susanylon. Likewise the exodus of the Emalian nobility to the south had also sparked interest in that direction, and Edomite and Emalian explorers and traders began to use the routes of the far south in search of the new nation of Shemia.
  • Yannian Culture: The Kingdom of Mizir had united the northeast Yannian region, and had survived miraculously when Ocenis attempted to invade it. This had shown the other states of the region that Mizir was more powerful than expected. Afterward it increased its interests in the north. The tribes that had formed Mizir subjugated their own homeland, reasserting control over the trade routes to the north sea. Ocenis instead launched an invasion of Aurelia, intending to secure the rest of its peninsula. Tesardya launched an invasion south into the Orunamids, as they perceived them as helping in the invasion against Tesardya. Last there is the army sent to Neum. Tohatia spreads the Yannian faith into Exhula with many Holy Men dispatched, and Tohatia warns Exhula that they cannot outlaw the Yannian faith. Not to mention, many within Exhula already practice the Yannian faith. The Tohatians seek to dominate the southern trade routes and trade with Qera, so they claim the oasis south of them near the Great Lakes. They settle a town known as Ayecutagona there, which becomes an important spot for trade caravans.
  • Zelonuma Emiresq: The nation of the Zelonuma Emiresq elects to expand its borders southward, from its ancient perch in the northern mountains from the coast. The nation seizes the fertile plains of the south beyond the mountains for the first time. Expanding to the numerous lakes of the region. Settlements are particularly situated on the major lake in the east of Isimandia, and also the lakes just northeast of the Khin Federation, and west of Agelmur. In the far north the Darnan nation expands along the coast both north and south.
  • Melia: The more cooler treeland quickly turned hot, but we had found something promising there, a multitude of rivers and streams flow here, and cities like in Frioria tend to be on them.  We send expeditions to fully explore these rivers in all their courses, hoping to find a realm. Voya Vakal died soon after and his body was placed in the lake.  The gods elected his son,  Voya Maltal, to succeed him.  Maltal isn't as warlike as his father, but understands the importance of the military and warriorhood. Maltal continues the policy of expansion in the lakes area, however,  he wants it to be claimed as fast as possible so that we build a stronger foundation to build upon. The kings seem to be making decisions away from the gods, which proves to be controversial. Perhaps our first choice will be within ourselves.
  • Telachitul Republic: With the aftermath of the conquest of the north to deal with, the new ruler sets to work. With the Eveivel, Kutelaseem, and Velta serving as the main texts, the religion of Icrodel continues to grow, mostly in core republic territory.
