Anietta Marie Johnson (Born April 4th, 1988) is a Superian politician and former actress currently serving as Deputy President of Superior since 2022. A Tory Unionist, she has served as leader of the Constitution and Unionist Party since 2020 and a member of the House of Delegates since 2018, representing rural Wyoming.
Born and raised in Cheyanne, Johnson graduated from the University of Wyoming with degrees in liberal arts and theatre production. Pursuing a career in acting, Johnson starred in a number of television shows and films as a background extra. Failing to make any headway in that career, Johnson retired from acting in 2016 and returned to Wyoming. In 2018, she was elected to the House of Delegates as a member of the right-wing Constitution and Unionist Party, defeating a United Conservative runner-up in a special election. As a House Delegate, Johnson is known for her adherence to right wing populism and nationalism, and for controversial statements. From 2018 to 2020, Johnson was the youngest female member of the House of Delegates.
In 2020, Johnson was elected to succeed the outgoing Lydia Bachmann as leader of the Constitution and Unionist Party, defeating moderate challengers. Immediately following her victory, Johnson shifted the party's platform towards populist rhetoric, embracing the modern conservative populist movement. In her first election as party leader, Johnson oversaw historic gains for the Tory Unionists, becoming the fourth largest party in the House of Delegates and the second largest amongst the National Coalition. Johnson was appointed Deputy President by Isaac Dillon following the 2022 federal election. Since her appointment, Johnson has supported the Dillon Administration and most of its policies.
Politically, Johnson identifies as a conservative, populist, and nationalist. On social issues, Johnson is generally right-wing. While a self-described supporter of same-sex marriage, Johnson has spoken out against "gay culture" and has support efforts amongst certain states to restrict LGBTQ+ classes in public education. A proponent of the "culture war", Johnson has stated her support for "tradtional Superian values" and has opposed the influence of "wokeism". Johnson supports the free market and laissez-faire policies. She is opposed to the Public Health Program and most welfare programs. While supportive of efforts to contain Continental influence, in recent years she has come out against Superian involvement in world affairs. She is a staunch Ameroskeptic, and has called for a withdrawal from the Northern Treaty Organization and League of Nations.
